A Merry Little Snowlady

Christmas in July is a great way to get a start on all of those Christmas cards that we always say we will make early, and then come late November we suddenly realize we don't have enough cards once again.  This week for One Crazy Stamper I have colored up the adorable Snowlady Surprise from High Hopes Rubber stamps.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink and then colored with Copic sketch markers.  To add further dimension to the image I added Prismacolor pencils to the shadows and highlights, and blended it out with Gamsol.  Echo Park's Hello Winter paper is the card base, and the sentiment is from my stash - an old Waltzing Mouse stamp.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas!

Welcome OCS Fans;

As we are halfway through the year, now is the time to get a start on Christmas cards.  The Design Teams Divas on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs will be sharing "Christmas in July" inspiration to you all month!

For my first Christmas card, I used this cute stamp called Here Comes Santa from High Hopes Stamps.  It is a CAS card as the design paper was a perfect match for it.  The paper is from  Echo Park's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas which was released last year, which I thought matched perfectly.  It is also my favourite Christmas poem.

I coloured the image with  copic markers and used some Prismacolor pencils to add some shading.
The image was fuzzy cut and three light bulbs were added as embellishments.  Nuvo's Snow Glow Sparkle Dust was used to add some glitter to Santa.  The Sparkle & Cheer sentiment was added to the inside of the card.

The image was stamped onto Copic Xpress It cardstock with My Favorite Things Black Licorice hybrid ink, and then colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  Wink of Stella gold was used on the buttons and belt buckle to add a hint of sparkle. The card front features the wonderful Photo Play paper and a matching sticker, to which I added the colored image after it was fussy cut.

It's a Black and White Kind of Day

It's been one of those weeks and so for today's card I decided to challenge myself to an all black and white card - something I try to do at least once a year. I think this one turned out great!!

This sweet image is "Wizarding Gnome" from the A Magical Day release at High Hopes stamps.  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored it with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  The stars and glitter were colored with a Sakura Clear glitter pen and then I added Wink of Stella silver to the larger stars.  The star flourish is an oldie from Memory Box and the frame is an unknown brand.  The sentiment is from the same release and is available here.

Card Recipe
Copics - N0, N2, N3, N6, N10, C3, C5, T0, T2, T7, T10
Prismacolor pencils - 1058 90% Warm Grey, 1063 10% Warm Grey, 1063 50% Cool Grey, 1060 - 20%  Cool Grey, 938 White

Springtime Joy

Welcome OCS fans;

I don't know about you, but I am certainly tired of this changing weather.  One day it is cold and snowy, the next it is rainy and a bit warmer.  I can't wait for spring to arrive.

For today's card, I'm using the Wishing Well from High Hopes Stamps and are wishing for Spring to come soon.  It is one of my favourite seasons -- new beginnings, new hopes and wishes.  I used Primsacolor Pencils, which I haven't used for a long time to colour the wishing well.
