ME? Well, My name is Yvonne and I am a SAHM to FOUR beautiful, energetic, wild, lovable, crazy and amazing children. I am married to my best friend and the Love of my life. And I have a creative side that needed an outlet so I started this blog to share my creations with all of you. One day my oldest daughter, all of 6 years old, looked at me while I was crafting and said "you sure are One Creative Momma" and the name for my blog was born.

Notes

Hello my crafty friends! Yvonne here with another Trendy Twine - Chocolate Sprinkles twine project for you. I absolutely love this color combo. The blue is so soft and the chocolate brown, Yummy!

My project starts with a notebook from the Dollar Tree. (Seriously one of my favorite stores for crafty goodness) I then added some designer paper to the cover, edged the top and bottom with scraps of paper and used an edge punch to add some detail.  Tied it up with a bow and then added my scalloped twine NOTES label.

Doesn't that twine look just amazing.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my project and that maybe it inspired you enough to join us for the Trendy Twine September Challenge. If you need some of this fantastic twine you still have time to get it on sale here!

Have a great day!
Yvonne

First Day of School!

Today my girls went back to school and with them I decided to send along gifts and treats! Gifts for the teachers, aids and office staff and treats for my girls. :) I used DCWV grade school paper stack, My Creative Time's Stamps and Dies, my Cricut and Peachy Keen Face stamps.

My girls will find these fun cards in their snack bags at recess along with a couple treats.

These are corner bookmarks I made for the girls homeroom teachers and their aids. I bundled them together in a pencil box with a tall bookmark, pens, pencils a highlighter and peppermints.

For the office staff, PE & Computer teachers and the Librarian, I made these happy apple cards. Inside they'll find a Ghirardelli dark chocolate square with caramel.

I also gave the office staff post it note holders.

Lots of goodies that hopefully brought a smile to some amazing teachers, staff and the best little girls I know!!! I can't wait to pick up them up and see how their first day went! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day too.

A Card for Marley Moore

Hello Everyone, I wanted to share with you a project I decided to work on for a 16 year old girl.

Her name is Madison and she has started the

For the month of July, Madison is asking card makers to make cards for Marley Moore (right end) and her family.

Mia - Sister, Brent - Dad, Nikki - Mom and Marley Moore :)

On Friday, August 7, 2009, Marley was taken to the hospital due to concerns from her family as well as their family physician. A CT scan found a tumor (pilocytic astrocytoma), about the size of a lemon, located on her brain. Marley was immediately rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City where the doctors went to work...they began to drain fluid from her brain to release the pressure that had been causing her immense pain for weeks prior.

The tumor was located around/near the optic nerve, the brain stem, and the pituatary gland. Because it was near several very sensitive areas of the brain, the doctor's scheduled a surgery to remove as much of the tumor as they possibly could. That surgery took place on Monday, August 10, 2009. The surgeon was able to remove a larger portion than he had originally thought, but that evening, as a result of trauma to the brain from surgery, Marley suffered a stroke, leaving her right side paralyzed. You can follow the rest of her story through our journal updates. Please visit Funkycards.blogspot.com

Caring Bridge Journal Entry: "Marley is a little angel. She is beautiful, strong, little girl, and she's well on her way to fighting through this. We believe in the mighty God... one that is with her every step of the way."

Here is how you can help. Each crafter can submit one card by July 31st to:

Madison Womack
(IFTL) Funky Cards
P.O. Box 1203
Atascadero, Ca 93423

Here is the card I made for Marley and I hope to make a few more for each of her family members:

Christmas In July

Pink By Design Challenge #6

Here is my entry for the Pink By Design Community challenge for this week. We were asked to create a Christmas in July Project and last year when I saw these cards all over the internet I knew I had to try one. It took me a while to locate the Martha Stewart branch punch and I eventually did.  I love how this turned out but the picture doesn't even come close to doing it justice. Some of the branch sparkle throughout the wreath which adds to the wintery feel. I can't wait to make more!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

P.S. I also entered this Card into the following challenges

Birthday Cards!

What a Month!

June and the beginning of July are full of birthday for our family.  So I've been very busy making masculine and feminine cards.

If anyone has a trick for drying the SU Whisper White ink - I would appreciate it. I let my banner sentiment dry overnight and it was still wet the next day!!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!

I'm looking forward to my time away but I will miss them dearly!

This is the card I will be giving my Sister in Law at her shower.

This is the inside of the card.

I also made this Nursing cover for her.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Saturday!

Sweet as a Gumdrop...

Double Display Card

As I was blog hopping Friday night I came across this amazing card over at Sweet as a Gumdrop. I knew I had to try it as soon as I saw it. Brenda's card is so beautiful so please click on her blog and check it out.

For this project I used my Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge, Heidi Grace Designer paper, AWI Action Wobble, Grosgrain ribbon, rhinestones, Chocolate brown cardstock, CTMH stamp set D1242 Doodle Alphabet and Stampin' up Whisper white ink.

I wanted to use a brown and white pattern paper to go with the Designer paper but I couldn't find one I liked. So, I took out my CTMH stamps and made my own.

This little bird, perched on her little branch is attached with an Action Wobble. The effect is SO CUTE!!! To order Action Wobbles visit their site here.
