Sitting Up

Another post about Ella, I know I am showing favortism but she is growing so fast. The only new thing Kylee and Payton really have is attitude and I cant seem to get a picture of Kylee asking why she has the meanest mom.

These past couple weeks Ella has really staarted to want to sit up and she is doing quite well. She does little cruntches trying to sit up when you lay her on the floor. She loves to sit up in the bouncer and she pretty much sits up when you sit her in it. She loves the fish... as seen in this picture.

This week I started just letting her sit with the boppy around her just in case and she has such a proud little face. I must admit I love this stage. I love it when they can just sit and play by them selves and are not yet mobile. Cute cute baby!

Ella at 5 Months

I have gotten so far behind in posting that I gave up. I figure if I just post now while it is fresh in my head I can go back and post all the past stuff when I have time. Something is better then nothing.
Here we are already at 5 months. This has been the easiest 5 months of a new baby that I have ever experienced. I have truly been blessed with the best baby ever. This little girl is the sweetest thing ever and it is all because of my parenting!! No, not really. I always laugh inside when people try to take all the credit for having well tempered babies cause really you don't have all that much to do with it. We can do our best to give them a schedule which can help but really we have no control. Moving along...
Ella is super sweet, happy, chill, and just the best baby ever. Sh hardly ever cries... mostly just yells and gives you a chance to attend to her needs before she gets upset. She is a very happy girl but at the same time she doesn't give out smiles to just anyone. She has started really eating and enjoying her cereal now(2/8/10) instead of spitting it all out. She is now drinking bottles full time, starting today. She drinks like 8 oz a feeding... little piggy. She loves her jumper and turns herself around to look at all the different toys. She loves her daddy! She likes to watch her sisters, but nervous when Payton is around. This week she has finally started a good sleep schedule. She has been sleeping 12+ hours a night the past few months but was going to bed very late. She is now going to bed around 8pm and waking up sometime after 9am. Love her!

She discovered if she jumps she can hit the little lizard.

The only naughty thing she does, sneaks and sucks her thumb! Dad gets mad when I catch her and don't take it out of her mouth right away... but she is so cute!

She loves nakie time. She loves to grab her feet which makes getting her clothes back on hard.
I love this girl and am very aware and grateful for how blessed i am. We are a happy family!

Potty testing... not yet training.

Payton and I are not yet ready for her to be fully potty trained but I would like it to be in the near future so we started testing out the potty. Here are a couple cute pictures I couldn't resist taking. She is a funny kid. I am not a fan of the poop in a bowl and mom cleans it out potty and lucky for me Payton isn't really either. She got up after these pictures and sat on the real potty and went. So glad!

Our fun FHE

For our FHE kick off, not really but we have had it every week since, we decided to go big! We decided to talk to the girls about Lehi and his family and how they had to leave everything and dwell in a tent. After the lesson Mike set up a little tent in the living room and we let the girls sleep in their sleeping bags in the tent for the night. They had a blast. Now every Monday night Kylee asks to sleep in the tent.

The couches were already out of the room from the carpets being cleaned, we are not that nice!

My thrown together desert. Oven smores are not to bad if I do say so myself!

always doing a cheesy pose.

That was the only bite she had, she just likes the marshmallows plain.

It was a very fun night and I recommend it to anyone willing to do it!

1 Month- Ella

On the 3rd Ella was a whole month old!! Time goes by way too fast. If each month goes by as fast as this one I fear I will miss out on all the fun of having a little baby. I wish I had the time to just sit and hold her all day. I guess I will have to cherish those middle of the night feedings.
Ella had her 1 month appointment on Tuesday and she is growing great. She is now 10 lbs 2 oz (75%) and 22 1/4 inches (75%). I swear she put on all that weight just in this last week. Her legs are starting to get some chubs and I am loving it!

These last couple days she has started smiling and it wasn't while she slept or when she passed gas. Was she smiling at me because I was talking in a high pitch voice and making faces? Nope, she cant even see me... and I do it anyways. I will take any little smile I can get. I cant wait for those intentional smiles.

Ella is starting to wake up a little more. She tends to want to stay awake at bed time but we are trying to change that. I feel I succeed if I am in bed before midnight. She doesn't quite know what to do with herself when she is awake so she just tries to eat. She always has her mouth open. She is a sweet baby and we have loved every moment with her.

Ella's Birth Day

Early September 3rd we welcomed our third little girl to the world. Everything went well and we feel very blessed to have a healthy baby. Here are a few pictures from our stay at the hospital and our first family photos.

I think this is the only picture of me in all my huge glory!

Excited dad waiting for the Dr. to arrive and get the party started.

Hot Daddy!

First family of 5 picture.

Payton holding her new sister.Payton has done very well accepting her new sister, which was not expected. She is going to be a good sister!

Kylee loves her sister. Sadly Kylee has had a cough for the past few weeks so this is pretty much the only time I let her hold her... or really touch her. Mean mom, I know.
We are all doing well and adjusting to our new life. We feel so blessed to have Ella in our lives.

Happy Birthday!

My first baby is 4 today. How fast time flies. I can remember every emotion from the day she was born. What a special day it was getting such a special girl. Kylee was a perfect baby and a even better toddler. I didn't realize it til now but she was an angel. We are figuring out how to deal with this new oldest child 4 year old attitude but she is still such a good kid. We are so blessed to have such a sweet girl leading her sisters! I wouldnt trade a bit of the last 4 years for anything. I love you Kylee and hope you have a good day!

Sleepy Girls

Kylee has always just dropped where ever she is when she is tired and now it seems Payton is following in her foot steps.

Watching TV together.

Icing her cupcake... well about to.

Sitting with her baby.

How jealous I am!

How to ...

Hypnotize your chicken

Mike found out that you can hypnotize your chicken for a few minutes and decided to try it out on sweet Matilda. First you lay the chicken on its back and keep your hand across the chest.
Next you put your finger in front of its beak and slowly pull your hand off its chest. Then slowly lift your finger farther away from the beak.

Then you have what looks like a dead chicken!
Here are some cute pictures of Payton on the grass petting Coco.

I love the face on Payton ... she is totally having a stare down with the chicken.

The Girls

I feel so blessed to have two girls that I really feel are each others best friends. They love to be with each other. Of course they fight, usually Payton beating up Kylee, but they really get along most of the time. If I discipline Payton for doing something to her sister Kylee usually tells me she is fine and Payton is OK and not to yell at her. Payton wakes up in the morning and comes in our room and then starts calling for Kylee or just yells her name to wake her up.
Here they are the other day with Payton trying to put a diaper on Kylee. Why? I have no clue.
Kylee being sweet and playing along.

Once in place, Payton laid down on Payton to smash it on.

Lingering cuddles!

I love my girls and hope that the next one becomes the 3rd Musketeer and not the 3rd wheel. Crossing my fingers!

Big Girl Bed

While the girls and I were at Grandma's house Payton figured out how to climb out of the pack-n-play and as much as I hoped it wouldn't mean the same for the crib, it did. She was really smooth about getting out and didn't really hurt herself but who knows how good she would be in the middle of the night. The night after we came home Mike took of the front rail of her crib and a safety rail went up. The first couple nights she cried for like 2 minutes at the door but then got herself back into bed and hasn't cried since. We have yet to find her on the floor. The girl loves her bed. Here she is in her big girl bed.

Not sure about it.

Loving that she can get in and out by herself.

Kylee had to take a turn in the new bed.
Payton is 18 moths now. She is so full of personality. She has a pretty good vocabulary for her age and likes to use it loudly! I noticed today she has lost one of her inner thigh rolls and it makes me sad cause her legs look less like chubby baby legs and more like big girls. She has grown up so fast. She tries to do anything Kylee does and for the most part succeeds with no help. Very much a daddy's girl and asks " er's Daddy" like 10 times a day.She is very sassy, very fun, very smart, and very cute!

We love our girl.

California Trip

Since Nana & Papa (Mike's parents) were driving to California and back in a week we decided to hitch a ride to Grandma & Grandpa's (my parents). Now that the Larsen cousins live there the kids have non stop fun. Here are some pics of the kids on a typical day at Grandma's.

Landoin riding so fast!

Kylee taking time to smell the flowers.

Baby Mia being so sweet in the stroller.

Issy trying to keep up with Landoin.

(the competitive nature of this girl is awesome! She is going to be a strong amazing woman one day! )
Payton checking her back to make sure no one is going to jump her!
On really special day's Aunt Melissa and cousins would come to visit too. We loved being with family!

Big thanks to Nana and Papa for putting up with screaming girls for the drive down and Nana for being willing to do it again and bring us back! And Daddy for letting us go for so long.

*Payton decided this would be the trip to start climbing out of the pack in play. Both girls decided it is better to wake up around 6:15. They have continued both at home. Woo.. hoo :(!!
