Huzzah! Beastmen Army DONE

What a relief. I have to admit I'm getting a little tired of painting Gors and things with fur. I'm just thrilled that everything is done in time for tomorrow's final Throwdown at Hobby Forge. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and feedback. Despite this being 'done' I know it's far from done in reality. This list needs a major overhaul, and lots more Minotaurs!

Beastmen Update: Bestigors and Chariot

Well, I'm close to finishing the initial 2000 point Beastmen army. A week from tomorrow will be the final, overall army throwdown, and this painting odyssey will be done. Over the last couple weeks I have finished my Bestigors, as well as my chariot (below) and my Bray-Shaman (no pic yet)

The next army painting challenge will be Legio Army Throwdown III : 40K, with painting starting on Saturday, May 3rd, and the first throwdown (Troops) being held during the Legio Birthday Bash on Saturday, May 31. Official announcements will be coming soon, but you heard it here first, folks.

After much consideration I think I'll be doing my Avenging Sons Space Marines for this one. IG is tempting, but with the new codex apparently coming soon-ish it might be better to wait. I guess it depends on when it's coming out.

Beastmen Update: Cygor, Warhounds, and Spawn

Got this beast done this afternoon for tonight's Throwdown, and getting right into a unit of Bestigors this weekend. Here's a few more pics of my latest progress- thanks for checking it out! :)

First Full Unit of Gors Done

Well, my first 25 Gors are done! Wee-hee! Having this done, along with the Beastlord and Minotaurs, is real motivation to keep pushing ahead and get this army done. Up next will be a unit of ten Chaos Warhounds, followed by a Cygor. Until next time!

Beastlord Done

Got this guy done last night. I tried out a couple of GW's new paints- Nihilakh Oxide and Blood for the Blood God. I think the verdigris and blood stains both turned out well, with little effort. Now off to the next Throwdown's Core unit, with either more Gors or maybe my Warhounds...
