Bloom

Bildergebnis für hvob

Another occasion to feature HVOB on this pages once again is the release of their latest single Bloom from their forthcoming album. HVOB is an Vienna based Austrian producer duo formed five years ago. Musically the duet moves between techno and electronica and they hold her songs rather minimalist and unfold a melancholy atmosphere. The filmed landscapes of left buildings and rivers probably somewhere in the former Soviet Union are perfect to Anna Müller's whispered vocals and Paul Wallner's electronic escapes. Looking forward to see them live in June.

The Blame Game

Bildergebnis für hvob

HVOB (Her Voice Over Boys) is the project by Austrian producers Anna Müller and Paul Wallner and I follow their career since several years and featured them on this blog during these days. Musically the duet moves between Techno and Electronica and HVOB hold her songs rather minimalist and unfold a melancholy atmosphere. A sound by deep basses, reversed electronic music and whispered lyrics generate a subliminal tension which changes a melodious dynamism in a smooth trance. For this song they made a collaboration with Mumford And Son's Winston Marshall which I never expected in this musical field. Music that fits for Sunday mornings and late evening as well.

Window

In my circle of friends there are only a few which are interested in new electronic music. Most of them compare this kind of genre with simple techno the way H.P. Baxxter aka Scooter does. But if you into into it is worth to have a look over the border to Austria. During the last years a scene has set up there and create new impulses over and over again. One of those I listen often is a band from Vienna called HVOB (Her Voice Over Boys). Musically the duet moves between House, electronic music and pop music and HVOB hold her songs rather minimalist and unfold a melancholy atmosphere.
