Original Wrong Miracle Cover

This was the original Wrong Miracle cover that Salt suggested...must admit to not having been really able to visualise it as a likely cover... it made me think of the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus...I like the Kitschness of it though...and it is a bit tongue-in-cheek, with the man/woman theme weighing quite heavily with it...Wrong Miracle is a bit more wide-ranging...even though it does 'poem' relationship stuff, but that is only one aspect of it. It is strange, and indeed amusing, in many ways how the book can lend itself to two completely different covers...I went with my gut instinct on backing away from this first possible cover...and am totally happy about the cover that Miracle now has...

Amazon are still using the first cover though and have been asked to change it but apparently it will take a few weeks to do so....it feels strange having one book but two different covers out there...!

I much prefer the cover you have now. I agree with Rachel, it's more mysterious and is very beautiful. Good for you for going with your instinct :)

The second cover is beautiful, the sort of pic I would want if it were my book,I wasn't keen on the first one at all,it's okay but it wasn't right and everything has to be right for your first collection.Good instincts Liz,trust them!
Ps. Looking forward to your booktastic world tour Castle EEjit visit in Nov.

That's a neat first cover, Liz! I agree that the one you chose in the end is better though—it feels less dated, more evocative. The first cover has a kind of '50s look to it.

I've started cleaning up my blog for your visit. Hah!

How interesting, and what very different impressions the two covers convey. Agree with the above - you definitely made the right choice. Timeless, now.

Thanks Boomer.

Rachel, like the 'bless' and I'm much happier with the 2nd cover...

Barbara, gotta go with gut instincts ; ) don't think I could
have carried off that first cover, literally or metaphorically...

TFE, cheers for thumbs up...and looking forward to getting a foot in the castle...; )

Arlene, like 'evocative'...and take it easy with the blog shake-up - leave some rug-whacking for me...don't want to be just a sit-up guest! ; )

Hi Titus, thanks...and yeah, they sure do give different impressions... : )

I like both but you have to feel happy about your cover, as I've said before. I love the one you chose. It's kind of magical and mysterious and much more grown up than the other.
