Hooked on Quilting

Sorry, I've been away and just now getting back to my Dino's. Next to last border and then it's binding here I come!!! I just can't decide whether or not to upgrade to an HQ Fusion. What do you think? I need a certain amount in order to buy my Fusion. Not keen on packing it up so I'd like to sell it locally.  HQ 16 stitch regulated (7 years) with Pro-Stitcher with current updates Art and Stitch Software Front and Rear Handles Adjustable Table (up to 12' setup, can be set up smaller) Ruler Base Bobbin Winder Laser Stylus Bobbins & Needles Original Leaders Manuals What else should I include in my "ad" that you might want to know?   What if it doesn't sell? I'm so excited I might get a new one. Fingers crossed. 

Now, I have To decide how to attach them to my HQ16 leaders. Of course, I have to finish my "Spot" quilt first.

Okay, cleaned my HQ16 ProStitcher yesterday and my USB stick failed and I lost all my design files so I emailed them and hopefully, a new is on the way today. Darn, I was so excited about finishing my Brown Bear, Brown Bear quilt. So, if you know me, you know that I jump from one project to another and another and another and now this disaster allowed me to move to something brand new! So, I decided to try my hand at applique. On to the baskets at Bunny Hill Designs (BOM) !!! Picked a white that I knew I had enough of and began getting some browns out for 12 baskets and, since I was three months behind, I decided to make an assembly line project. Sounds good, right? Okay, now that I've finished some quilt tops, I need to focus on upgrading my HQ16 Pro-Stitcher software. Pretty scary since I have a deadline, but the new features are way too important. If anyone has already upgraded and has some tips for me, please leave a comment. Gloria

I've been in Houston attending my granddaughter's baptism. We can only assume that no one told her that she was going to be wet and shared her displeasure with the entire church attendees. However, the proud grandmother certainly had tears in her eyes as I watched her...a great visit and trip. We flew out of Louisville (I live very close to Cincinnati, but their fares are astronomical so I trek an hour and a half away...ugh!) and got in around 1:00 a.m. I'd dozed only to awaken to a police car pulling us over for going slightly over the speed limit (83 in a 70 zone), but he was very pleasant and we promised not to speed again. Whew!!!! Handiquilter has upgraded their software for the ProStitcher and I can't wait to get home from tennis practice to install it!!! I am enjoying a quilting/sewing retreat at home this weekend so I actually finished the quilting of my first HQ16 Pro-Stitcher quilt! It's a Take 5 pattern and I see some piecing things that I wish I'd changed. I'd also wanted to add a second inside border, but that thought got lost in our move. This was one of my first classes I took at my LQS in MD. I didn't do the best job on piecing or placement on this one so I'm hoping I made most of my learning mistakes with it. I learned lots on how to program the Pro-Stitcher, however, I "nudged" nearly everything to get it to fit. Also, I designed, in QuiltCad, a little quilting motif for the inside border. I also did a single design in the corner because I didn't have time to learn how to intertwine the outside borders. All in all it turned out rather well. I run out of bobbin thread once and it's a bit of rat's mess right there, but I'm hoping to fix that. I hope I can remember how I did every...
