Obama Calls America “Soft,” Offers to Whip Nation Into Shape: I am afraid we have been since 9/11

Obama Calls America “Soft,” Offers to Whip Nation Into Shape: "The way I think about it is, you know, this is a great, great country that had gotten a little soft and, you know, we didn't have that same competitive edge that we needed over the last couple of decades. We need to get back on track."

I may be ostracized but I am afraid that in many instances I agree that we were soft. With that said I have to admit that since George W Bush we have been undergoing a baptism by fire and not just in our wars but for average Americans in every facet of our lives.

I must admit that well before 9/11 happened I was convinced that our youth and the country as a whole had been so spoiled and softened up by our life style that we were going to be in severe trouble if we thought we were going to be able to count on them in our hour of need.

The media had me convinced that we had already experienced our "Greatest Generation" in saving the day for us and the world during WW2 almost 70 years ago now. I am happy to say "Boy was I ever wrong" Our youth including a few of my sons have stepped up and are patriotic and serving magnificently in what is just beginning but has already become the longest war in History.

That as you know is barely the beginning of our story and our "toughening up". We as America's blue collar population and back bone have watched our "soft" life kicked out from underneath us. No body that I am aware of is just sitting around living the good life getting fat if they are it is not because they want to.

40 million have lost their homes, 17 million have lost their jobs, 50 million are on food stamps, that means they are all living on the dole and this is still barely beginning for us too like it or not. Media and politicians like to play their ignorant worthless childish games saying they fear another recession is coming, they think they are being coy calling it a "double dip recession"

This is not a double dip recession it is the same one only getting worse as we have said it would since Bush caused it when he was in office. We have been in Afghanistan now for 10 years and Iraq is right behind it. Stupidly we are trying to keep our military Heroes in both of them for decades to come.

The entire middle east is exploding as we knew it would and who knows where our military will be asked to go to next? Who can guarantee millions of people whose lives have been upended and worsened since George Bush was elected? No on can! They will get much worse! The tent cities will multiply as will those fighting for food supplied by the Government or NGO's (non Government organizations).

The second revolution is coming and it is being fed by the tempest party rebelling against the tea party and their wall street, corporation, Government, destroyed lives. People are starting to fight for survival, they are no longer soft and I am happy to say they are finally beginning to show here at home that they remember how to fight and are willing to.

Anti-outsourcing bill fails in Senate, time for Unemployment And Economics 101

Anti-outsourcing bill fails in Senate because of Lieberman along with four Democrats who voted with a united Republican caucus to block the bill

Unemployment And Economics: Outsourcing Bill Killed In The Senate

Do we need help? bring those companies back to help the people not the companies, let them adjust!
The overall poverty rate climbed to 14.3 percent, or 43.6 million people, the Census Bureau said last Thursday in its annual report on the economic well-being of U.S. households, plus the jobless rolls just increased by 465,000.Over? We have to get our manufacturing baser back and put average Americans back to work.

The share of Americans without health coverage rose from 15.4 percent to 16.7 percent or 50.7 million people mostly because of the loss of employer provided health insurance during the so called recession. If the tea party gets in control they will dwarf those numbers. Foreclosures were up again last month. The recession is over? Over and ended over a year ago? Tell that to the millions that know it is on going and see no improvement in sight. 1 in 7 Americans live in poverty

I started Blogging in 2005 as a means of talking with those that care about we the people, average Americans, those who live in the trenches of society and want to hear the truth and discuss that and how we really feel as we never ever hear it. Little did I know no one wants to hear it and no one cares. That goes for all societies all around the world.

The so called experts of the old world the pre 9/11 world became fond of saying this is a new world it will never be the same, we must adapt we must overcome this new world to survive as we are and proceed through the 21st century.

Those fools in the Government, the media, and corporations do not care about us or the truth only making money and playing their games. They do not have a clue and do not care period! Times have changed! I stopped writing books and started this Blog as a means of talking daily because ours and the worlds situation was devolving so rapidly I could not keep up with it. It keeps getting worse!

Watching the inept lying mindless Bush run and get elected "supposedly" along with his crew of lying enablers to control and change societal and world order to a new societal and world dis-order was frightening and absolutely no surprise in total including the timing of this so called recession and world financial collapse was frightening.

The entire lie we have lived since 9/11 so Bush could get the power he needed to get in the Middle East and do his world altering war mongering will never be admitted to or known, Along with the entire mess Bush created, the economic disaster was held off with bail outs and kick backs until Bush got out of office and Republicans could blame the whole mess they and Bush created on Obama and the Democrats, it worked.

I started warning in 2007 of the impending financial disaster when Bush Greenspan, Kramer, and other so called leaders the economy and the stock market were senselessly playing up how great things were. It was very exasperating!

Again, I was frightened at the portend of things to come and the truth was being ignored, maybe not seen, but it was frighteningly obvious we were rudderless and all our so called leaders only cared about themselves.

This recession is not over it has barely begun. Think of the frightening prospect of of putting this mess in the hands of the know nothing Republican party hijackers, the tea party voodoo fools. That is frightening! That possibility is what we are now facing. As we just discussed, only Bin Laden can end this so called war on terror he started and only keeping health care and staying on the track of the recovery of "our" America Obama is trying to get us on, will give us a future, success into the 21st century.

The Brown Shirts I mean tea party have successfully hijacked the Republican party as threatened if you have not noticed. If they get in control what happens will not be pretty nor will the "liberty" they want. You have seen it before and know the results. If the so called tea party gets in control of the US it will be much worse mark my words.

We need those companies that were increasingly incentified by Bush to send their companies and jobs overseas to be forced to come back to the US. Obama's plan is doable and not as destructive to companies as those against the plan want you to think. We have to start putting the people ahead of companies

We are in serious trouble as you know, if we can not get our manufacturing base back and put the people back to work and enable them to pay their mortgages and pay the bills. I refuse to believe Republicans and other turncoats can get away with voting against the people and a return to Bush's destruction of "our America and world order" Obama has finally started to gather forces again to finally get something done. We better show the tea party Republicans we are not going to let them undo any progress and finish destroying our America. We must come out and keep his agenda moving forward. Get out the vote!

Tuesday's crash was not a Blip, Last week was not a slump, The Second and Greatest Depression is...

Tuesday's crash was not a Blip, Last week was not a slump, The Second and Greatest Depression is right around the corner per experts!
Many of you at kos know that I have been saying since I joined kos that despite what we have been told by Bush that this is a great economy, this was never a great economy. Rather it has routinely been massaged to give the illusion of prosperity.
It is a Bush war economy and as such those that can afford it were able to benefit from the stockmarket. The average American has been slipping steadily under Bush as you know and all the while Bush brags about how great the economy is. This is about to end even for them.
Wenesday I posted that the stockarket was beginning a collapse that was long expected and it was not going to be pretty. There were some who said the 416 point drop on Tuesday was nothing more than a blip and the market would bounce back. As you know , it did slightly, 52 points if I remember correctly and then continued downward for the week.
Stocks slumped Friday, at the end of the worst week on Wall Street in four years, as worries about growth at home and abroad caused investors to stage a mass exodus. Technology and commodity companies were especially hard-hit, but nearly all stocks in the Dow were down by Friday's close. The major gauges have fallen for three of the last four sessions. For the week, the Dow lost 4.2 percent and saw its worst decline on a percentage basis since the end of March 2003.

To me this can at this point hardly be called a slump let alone a recession or the beginning of a Depression. As we all know, we have enjoyed recently unprecedented increases in Stock and home valuess. To me it was shored up artificially with purposeful undeserved rosy pictures painted. I am listening to Bernanke paint the same rosy picture Greenspan did and only for Bush's purposes.
It only makes sense that the unprecedented increases would be ultimately be followed by unprecedented decreases and lultimately losses. There is only one way to avoid that which some analyst's say will happen and that is a continuation of the slide.Last week I posted on the expected 2nd Greatest Depression.
The Second and Greatest Depression is right around the Corner. This is stunning!
The other day as we listened to Bush's lies about wanting to fix Health Care I caught on the news that pretty soon healthcare will consume $1 of every $5 you spend. That is mind boggling in itself. Knowing he does nothing to help the average American or our America is sobering enough. That ass hole constantly lies and covers up all reality!
He brags every friggen day how great his economy is while we are left dumbfounded. People in staggering numbers are losing their homes, ending up on the street, going hungry, unable to receive or afford even basic healthcare, or even satisfy life's basic needs. this is happening in America and I find it overwhelming. Why? In America?
Then I was sent this staggering information. Iposted it Wednesday but in light of reaffirmation of my concerns I thought it was wall worth another read.
The Second Great Depression By Mike Whitney" The US economy is in danger of a recession that will prove unusually long and severe. By any measure it is in far worse shape than in 2001-02 and the unraveling of the housing bubble is clearly at hand. It seems that the continuous buoyancy of the financial markets is again deluding many people about the gravity of the economic situation. 02/21/07 This week’s data on the sagging real estate market leaves no doubt that the housing bubble is quickly crashing to earth and that hard times are on the way.
There’s no doubt now, that Fed chairman Alan Greenspan’s plan to pump zillions of dollars into the system via "low interest rates" has created the biggest monster-bubble of all time and set the stage for a deep economic retrenchment. Greenspan’s inflationary policies were designed to expand the "wealth gap" and create greater economic polarization between the classes. By the time the housing bubble deflates, millions of working class Americans will be left to pay off loans that are considerably higher than the current value of their home. This will inevitably create deeper societal divisions and, very likely, a permanent underclass of mortgage-slaves. A shrewd economist and student of history like Greenspan knew exactly what the consequences of his low interest rates would be. The trap was set to lure in unsuspecting borrowers.
In real terms, the economy is already in recession. The growth numbers are regularly massaged by the Commerce Department to put a smiley face on an under performing economy. Industrial output continues to flag (In January it was down by another .5%) while millions of good paying factory jobs are being air-mailed to China where labor is a mere fraction of the cost in the USA. Also, automobile inventories are up while factory production is in free fall.
Please read the entire report. It is very sobering and the first honest appraisal I have ever seen as to our dire Bush hidden financial future. In closing Mike say's Greenspan has led us sheep-like to the same precipice as the great depression. The economic dilemma we're facing could have been avoided if the expansion of personal credit had been curtailed by prudent monetary policy at the Federal Reserve and if wealth was more evenly distributed as it was in the ‘60's and ‘70's. But that’s not the case; so we're headed for hard times. http://anaverageamericanpatriot.blog...
