GDT - Raise the Bar Challenges - My Retreat featuring Sweet Pea stamps

Today I am thrilled to tell you that I am the guest designer this week at Raise The Bar. I'm very excited to be able to participate with them this week! The challenge for us is to create something that is inspired from a room in our house. I chose my kitchen as it's my favorite place to be (other than my craft room :o)).

Here is a picture of my kitchen for inspiration:

Here is my project:

I chose to alter an old unfinished wooden purse that I had in my cellar for years (I used to tole paint years ago before papercrafting). Today I'm using this lovely image from Sweet Pea stamps for the first time. She was so much fun to color. I used the colors in my kitchen which are brown, green, yellow, red, and pink.

Recipe: My papers are from DCWV and Bazzil, Martha Stewart punches, stickles, and pearls. Image is colored with copics.

I plan to enter this card at the following challenges:

Midnight Madness - sketch
Cuttlebug Challenges - purses (used cuttlebug for vines with flowers)

Hope you enjoyed my project today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Good morning! It's Monday again already. Whew! Last week was a whirlwind but now that the kids are back at school, I can get back to crafting and back to a normal routine again. We did have alot of fun last week though and we had really amazing weather (although our weekend was a bit chilly).

Well today I have another Critter Sketch Challenge card to show you. Since it's our 10th challenge the DT was challenged to make a card with 10 items/elements on our card. So here is the card I came up with:

This month is my daughter's birthday. She'll be 12 years old (OMG) and just loves Magnolia images so I had to create a birthday card using this sweet image from Magnolia.

The 10 items I used on this card are:

1 type of yellow cardstock
3 types of patterned paper
4 pearls
1 type of yellow ribbon
1 image

Our sponsor this month is My Scrapbooking Supplies . They have all kinds of cardmaking/scrapbooking supplies for you to choose from. If you play along with us, there will be a great giveaway away at the end of this month from this fabulous store so I hope you'll play along. Paper Romance - Froggy Gift

Hello there again! Today I have a card that I made for Paper Romance using this stamp called Froggy Gift by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I made an envelope card using the Cricut and cut a template off the Wild Card cartridge.

Isn't he cute? He reminds me of my brother when we were kids exploring in the back yard. He was always wearing jeans and a baseball cap (as most boys do) and he was always bringing home turtles, frogs, and garden snakes (eeww) not to mention all the bugs in the neighborhood.

Here is the inside of the card:

You can find Froggy Gift at Paper Romance along with other High Hopes Rubber stamps. Amy is always getting a new shipment and adding to her store so please stop by and take a look.

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - touchy feely
Cupcake Craft Challenge - childhood memories
Our Creative Corner - bows (I tied bows with floss on the apples)
Paper Makeup Stamps Challenge - 5 embellishments (3 apples, 1 bee, 1 metal sentiment)
Stampin' for the Weekend - ribbons and bows (ribbon on inside of card and bows tied with floss on apples)

Well, thanks for stopping by today and for any comments you may leave. They are truly appreciated! hugs,

Shy Nickie treasure box

Hello stamping friends! Hope you are having a great week? I have been busy with my girls this week while they are home for spring break. Luckily we have had great weather here in CT and have been spending alot of time outdoors going to the park and the beach. Maybe we'll hit the zoo tomorrow. Anyways, I have been trying to squeeze in some time to stamp here and there in between outings with my girls and have managed to complete this treasure box using one of my favorite Inky Impression images - Shy Nickie. I altered a small tin that once held some Pirouette cookies (yummy!). See the pics below:

Picture of tin before altering:

Picture after altering:

And here is the card I made for today:

I used one of the new Inky Impressions images and she is called Hula Lili. I think this image is just so charming and so perfect for the summer (come on summer - I am tired of being cold). :0) My sentiment is also from Inky Impressions.

I cut the palm tree out using my Cricut and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I used copics to color in the palm tree and my image.
