The last day before I left Sylt I went for a final stroll at the beach, keeping a weary eye on the sky because I was afraid I'd get into a thunderstorm. I managed to get back to our appartment just in time. Impressive clouds, huh? :)

And this is why I have been quiet the past week - vacation time! :) Spent a week on my favourite island in the North Sea - Sylt. A truly beautiful spot to be, even tho at this time of the year it's a bit of a gamble as far as the weather is concerned. I was lucky, there was some rain but it didn't interfere with my beach strolls. It was VERY windy, tho, and quite cool.

I spent the last two evenings in the pleasant company of Capt. Jack Sparrow, and that helped with the blah-mood I'm in. Today's a grey, overcast and going-to-rain day, but I don't mind as I will spend it in my jammies again doing nothing whatsoever. Except taking photos of the latest work. And editing them. And doing some laundry. And organising my jewellery. And, errm, okay, the doing nothing clearly is not going to happen... :)=)

I made jewellery today - yay! A couple of necklaces, a pair of earrings and a bracelet - so far. I'm in no mood to take and edit pics of the lot today, tho, so that'll have to wait another while. It's gorgeous weather outside and I'm spending the day inside in my PJs, but creating is so important for me that I don't mind. :)

For the first time in nearly a year I was at the botanical garden again yesterday. Spring blossoms and fresh leaves everywhere, but there are large gaps where plants are missing, too. Hope there will be more to take pics of when summer arrives...

Yesterday, on my balcony. I'm SO glad spring has arrived, I was sick sick sick of winter. And I'm also glad that I took a photo of something other than jewellery again, even tho it's a little out of focus and not among my better pics.

I just noticed I reached 444 hearts today. 444 hearts, and a whopping 7 sales in 21 months. Well, I guess I can as well take this opportunity to announce that I will close both my Etsy stores once the items in there will have expired. Selling clearly isn't meant to happen for my stuff...

I was at work for maybe half an hour this morning when I went to an office on the other side of my floor - and look what an incredible sight the sky was!

Alas - that was the best part of the day. It was followed by crap. And more crap. So glad there's only one more day to go before the weekend!

dark cold snowy sunday

It's Sunday. And it's dark. It's snowing. And it's so cold in my appartment that I decided to don my flannel PJs, even tho it's only 4:30 in the afternoon. And I can't believe my weekend is nearly over again, to be replaced by another week of way too much work. But there's something to look forward to - gemshow next Saturday, yay!

In other news - I broke my vow of no-creating-for-six-weeks and made a wee pair of earrings today. It's way too dark to take pics, so that will have to wait. Instead I'm going to add some earrings to my Etsy today - stay tuned!

Phew - SO glad my workweek is over! I thought I'd give myself a treat and leave work an hour earlier - but instead of enjoying an additional hour of yay I spent the time waiting for a delayed train that, when it finally arrived, was so jam packed with people (why is it that when you're stuck in a train full of people you always manage to be wedged between the one with the garlic breath and the one with the unwashed armpits?) that I wished I had stayed that hour at work. Rewarded myself with some extensive shopping at The Body Shop and Lush, and some yummy olive bread.
And now I'm looking forward to two days of blissfull lazying around. Which means I will have to ignore the awful state of my appartment for yet another week, but oh well... :-D
