What is the most you will spend on a nail polish?

Chanel.. we need to talk.

I've ofter wondered who are the crazies who pay more then 30$ for a nail polish, for 30 bucks this polish better serve me breakfast in bed and drive me to Target! I think my cut of for a nail polish would be ..how much does a Chanel go for? 25-28 dollars? And that is pushing it. And is it me or is Chanel getting very lazy with the colors, white polish.. seriously Chanel. You are better than that.

Sorry, Tom, I cant spend 30 bucks on your very pretty but high priced nail polishes.

Okay all you Clarins unicorn pee buyers, don't take this the wrong way, but yeesh! How did you spend the money for this gorgeous polish without cringing when you hit the paypal button?

bitter.. cause Ill never own this beauty.

So what is your spending limit. Do you have one, if you don't can I stand next to you while you shop for nail polishes and worship you?

sorry for the lack of posts, last weds morning, I pulled a muscle in my back that made it very hard to do anything remotely easy..aka.. everything.  But I did manage to do a few manis. This manicure was from a few weeks ago, guh.. I know! So bad at posting my nails!

This is Zoya's South beach. I love this color, but you need about 1000 coats just to see the green. I mean I'm sure they didnt mean for it to be a topcoat, but yeah... thats pretty much what it is. It is to bad, because it has so much potential! Under it.. shock.. NYC black. I swear, black makes every nail polish so much more amazing. It is just a fact.

Here is the other manicure that I did last week( that Im still sporting because its clarins 230!) and I dont want to take off that magic that is unicorn pee! But its all peeling and gross so it has to be done!

Unicorn Pee Over Barry M Indigo And My New Nfu Oh

I've swatched the crap out of Unicorn Pee since I received it from a super amazing RAOK friend....I've swatched it over lavender, over hot pink, over burgundy, black, etc. And now you can see it over a deep indigo from one of my favorites out there. Barry M. Gah...Clarins 230 never ceases to amaze me. I just stare at my nails all day when I have it on which can be rather distracting...but ah, whatever :)

Also, below that, I have swatched my newest Nfu Oh #48 - a really pretty and unique sheer pink flaky polish. It's different than most of the other Nfu Flakies because it has shimmer in it, too. I swatched it over a bright pink by OPI. See below.

Clarins 230 - Unicorn Pee Swatched!

I finally got to swatching this in good lighting, and this post will need little words - here is the gorgeous RAOK present Clarins 230. :) (i have oil on my cuticles so they look a little funky) It's also pretty apparent that I smooshed my ringfinger a little - whoops! But I don't think it averts the attention away from the beauty!

This is layered over 2 coats of Zoya Zara.

I have no clue what I ever did to deserve such an awesome and generous gift, and from somebody who wishes to remain anonymous! I knew I was being RAOK'd through a wonderful group of people over at a nail forum I frequent. I was thinking "hmm...maybe Barielle Elle's Spell?" Because I often said I wanted it. Then I thought maybe it could be a Nfu Oh of some sort. I never in my life expected it to be what it was though.....I will let the photos do the talking here.....and also give a huge gigantic and probably not nearly as thankful as I'd like to portray - I am elated and thrilled and SO grateful because I thought I'd never in my life own this polish. - THANK-YOU to the wonderful person who shared this with me. You are an angel! Whoever you are, you have managed to turn my awful week around completely.

I am definitely going to be paying it forward in a major way. I haven't thought about what I'm going to do yet, but expect a fantastic giveaway very soon. Just give me some time to prepare it :)

If anybody is dying for Clarins 230, I did find a seller has a ton on eBay now and they only want $60 a bottle and free shipping. I know it's still an insane amount to pay for nail polish, but it might be the cheapest price I've ever seen on eBay. So check it out.
