August 21!!!!!!

If finally happened, Hayzen asked me to marry him! He asked me on Friday the 8. We went to dinner with my family and his parents in Pocatello, and he askeed my dad for permisson. Then we were headed home and he stopped at his brothers house in Rigby because he "forgot" something in his work pickup. So then we were on our way back to my apartment and we get pulled over. So when the cop comes over and asks us everything, Hayzen said, well my night started out good, I asked her dad if I could marry her. And after Hayzen said that, the cop's attitude changed. He came back in like 5 minutes and said the server was to busy to look up his drivers liscense. Lucky us we didn't get anything. So we go back to my Apartment and he asks if I want to go for a drive, so I said sure. He didn't tell me where we were going he just drove. So as we are driving, I decide that I need to get sick, of all times, and so he asks if I want to go home and I said well I do but I want to hang out with you, and he was like, well lets just go up here a little ways. So we did and we went up towards Mesa Falls, and its midnight about this time, so we go up there and walk to the falls with snow on the ground and listening to the water falls. And he has his flashlight and gets down on one knee! I wasn't sick anymore. :)

My Amazon Adventures...

So most of you know, if you don't know you should, that I am terrible keeping up with these kinds of things. But I am trying to do better.
Well at the end of the 2 and half months helping those precious children, we got to go to the amazon for four days. It was AMAZING! And so BEAUtIFUL!! We got to do so many things, like take a walk through the jungle, float down the amazon river, jump off rope swings, eat a bug, look for bugs in the night, lay on a hammock, pan for gold, eat delicious food, watch the most amazing sunset, go bird watching, have a mud fight, talk with the parrot Yolanda, see the jungle "store" or a market, ride in a sweet bus, jump in a pool in the jungle with our clothes on, get eatin alive by fleas, see a medicine doctor. And so many other things. It was an experience to remember. I loved everything about it!!!

The small plane that we got to ride on to the Amazon

Me and Kenz riding down the river to get to the lodge that we stayed at... and our sweet life jackets!

One of the amazing Sunsets

A flower that grows down there. When you take out the center, looks like a bird

The bugs we got to eat!! Hakuna Matata

Panning for Gold... we found a lot!

Our mud fight right before we floated down the Amazon... And our TOUR GUIDE!

Our bus we took to tour the jungle

Me and Katie jumping in the pool

The medicine man.. "getting old energy out and putting new energy in"

The blow dart we blew... it was huge!

Yolanda the lodges parrot... she was such a sassy little bird!

Mogly making a basket out of leaves... thats what we nicknamed him.

One of our dinners... our plate was a leaf!

What we did every night... relaxed on the balcony watching the sunset and chatting! What a fun trip!!!

ECuAdoR

Well as some of you know, I have been down in Ecuador for two and half months. And today was my last day working in the orphanages. Then I fly to the AMAZON tomorrow morning from Quito. I am very excited to go to the amazon but I am also very sad to leave my kids here in Ecuador. It really was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. To say the least I balled my eyes out! But as I am writing this, I am getting ready to leave in two hours. I can´t believe that my time here is already up and its time for me to go home. Pictures will come later when I get home.
On a side note though... what got me started on a blog was a blog that me and three other chicas share. Its called Gilligan and girls. While down here in Ecuador I have met some amazing friends that I will never forget. So we decided to do a thing kind of like the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants. But instead of pants we are doing a hat. So we named him Gilligan. And as we are traveling the world, or just on vacations, we will take pictures and send the hat to the next girl.
