Witches to Celebrate Halloween, Samhain, All Hallows Eve, and the turning of the seasons

under her hat

was a world of lovely magic

she sat deep and sweet

within herself

These are some older pieces that I am sharing

for Samhain, Halloween and All hallows eve.

We are entering the half way time between autumn equinox and winter solstice.

Endless blessings to you ~

Sarvangasana

shoulder stands feel so good

~

PS I am told that getting upside down is good
for our immune systems.
One could even lay on the floor (bottom close to a wall)
and legs go up the wall.
So relaxing too.

Bakasana

yoga with his woodland friend

we have a family of fox in our area
I rarely see them
though one night i looked out my window
just in time to see one on my steps
under the full moon light

with grace
it flew down my steps
then my snow path
across my frozen pond
disappearing into the forest

all illumined by the full moon

I like letting my world influence my art

AC: Sanctuary

she finds sanctuary
in the heart of her being

she finds sanctuary
in the quiet stance and strength of stones

she finds sanctuary
in the air all life breathes

she finds sanctuary
in all living beings

Tree Pose

like a tree
she stands
swaying a bit
in a star filled breeze

last night the sun poured through a break in the clouds
illuminating a patch of forest

Deer Man and Little Man

when he saw the little mushroom man
he knelt
to take him to heart
and
watch him do his yoga

this painting was partially inspired
by this antler I found a while ago
they fall off once a year

I hung it on my wood shed
to enjoy it daily

love that it crept into my art

Rock Kinship

feeling the heart and spirit of the rock
she closed her eyes
stilled her mind
and
light moved through her being

yesterday i glimpsed a yearling black bear getting out of my small pond and trotting off through the woods

it paused to shake off some water

if only i looked out sooner to see if the bear paused to
splash about
or
 take a bath
or
go fishing

all 6 fish are still there

it was the size of a large dog
~
I never know what i will see when i look out the wee cabin's windows

DC: Prayer, Meditation, Still Point

they climbed the mountain
body of the goddess

to sit in the rays
of the rising sun

to sit
in
the here now

our dear Ariane mentioned that this lovely spring flower
a yellow bell
is like a prayer
i so agree
like a prayer and a promise

this little yogini fairy
has a message for you:

Let Me Be Your Lucky Charm
~

I am posting this early for St. Patrick's Day

I think a man or a woman could give it to one another.
You could write:
Let me be your lucky charm
or
Will you be my lucky charm

~
even though this is more than a face
this is my face 21 for 29 Faces

DC: liminal, Yogini and Beluga Whale

deeply immersed
in her journey

in the liminal state

 earth woman
begins her transformation
to
woman of waters deep

soon to be
a mermaid
~

'Liminal' is a wonderful theme Veronica, as we
step back and forth
between seasons...
thank you!

yesterday we had our first snow of the season:

today, a bit more autumn in the air,
we seem to be in a liminal state:
