Redwoods and Coast

A few weeks ago we went to the redwoods. We did a ton of driving, but it was worth it.This is a picture of fern canyon. This picture doesn't do it justice, it was too beautiful. This tree almost fell on us and JD the man saved us.Banana slugs were everywhere and Christopher loved them. Whenever we'd hold them up to him he'd clap, laugh, and try to grab them. This tree was humongo. It was just over 300 feet tall!!!!Dare devilThis is the lighthouse at Crescent City. We stopped and took a look at all the wildlife in the tide pools. We found hermit crabs, real crabs, and sea anemones. This trip started in Utah where my parents picked me up from EFY. Then we drove across Nevada to Eureka. Then we drove all the way up the coast to Keiser, OR where my Dad's sister and family live. The next stop was Boise where we shopped for a day and then went to church at our old ward in Mountain Home. This picture is on the coast.

EFY

I went to EFY in Provo two weeks ago. It was a great way to start the summer off. Jon Meyers, a kid in my ward went with me. There were 1500 kids that went to this session, and they were all split up into companys of about 20 to 50 kids. Our company was called "Army of Israel" and our group was the largest with 48 kids and 4 counslers. We made up cool little cheers and skits. Here was our lunch spot.
We had to escort the girls everywhere. This next picture is us going to the Friday night dance. There were two dances, that were each three hours long. EFY dances are a lot better than stake dances because there are 1500 kids and they play a lot better music. The session director was Brother Scott Anderson. He was an amazing speaker and every talk was very spiritual and exciting. He gave at least one talk every day. Here is a picture of our four counclers: Dex, Chris, Michelle, and Maria.
Here's us working on the service project. We had to cut the fringes on these blankets and then tie knots in them. This is the group of kids that I hung out with.Guess what!! ... ... ... ... ... I met four kids from our ward in Mountain Home that I knew, and three of them (out of the 1500 kids) just happened to be in my company. Here they are.

Cool Pics

Here's a drool'n mohawk baby, and an awesome acrylic painting Kendall did for his art final.
