MY NEW ART BLOG HERE I would love your company.

A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

Out of the Journal .... week 3

Well I got to Week three of Dina's Out of the Journal challenge and I can't believe how much I have enjoyed painting on canvas.

I can't wait to hang them all on my wall when they are finished.

I don't even know where these styles are coming from although this one was a happy accident... trying to cover up something I didn't like.

I want more than four to put on my art wall but didn't have any more box canvases so I have tried a different style inspired by Dina's grungy girls.  I've done this one on stiff paper and I'm hoping I can mount it on some wood before hanging.

Fun... fun .... fun.... bring on week 4 :)

I've been Dyan'd and Dina'd

I so want... no NEED... to take a workshop with Dyan and/or Dina but I haven't had the chance yet so the next best thing is to browse (stalk!! heh heh) their blogs which inspire me sooo much.  Two awesomely talented girlie's... who could fail to be inspired by their fab art and journaling.  When I need an infusion of colour in my day I can guarantee they will have some to share and usually some fun and frolics too.  Go see!!
Anyhoo I've made me a scrapbook size journal and I played and played.... actually went a bit crazy thanks to those lovely squirty inky rainbow colours in a bottle that are Dylusions .... OMG I went so mad with them that NOW I've got none left ...weeps over my laptop :()
I've done loads of pages but can't share them all today or you will be here forever so I will share just some of them to start with.  Sorry bout the pants photographs... had to use me flash.

I allowed myself to worship the white space ....

and emulated Dina's gorgeous free flowing penmanship.

I splashed and sploshed, stencilled and doodled Dyan style adding a bit of me with a face

loved how the background colours made her so pretty!!

A bit of everything on this page...

love love love to doodle.

I abandoned the white space for this page... I felt the need to fill it....

faces are so much prettier in colour and I just had to try one of Dyan's texture techniques with a stencil...

It doesn't show up so well in my pic but OMG it's fab to stroke...lol

Thanks if you managed to stay with me 'till the end and I'll be back soon to share some of my other pages.
