November Inspiration - Saphron

Hey fellow crafters!

For this month’s inspiration, I decided to get out of my comfort zone on two accounts: use bright colours, and make my first “get well soon” card. Hopefully Sickly Susan on this card can make someone’s day a bit brighter when they’re feeling unwell!

I’ve used copics to colour her, and papers and brads. For the full details of my card, have a look at my blog.

March Designer Inspiration - Judy

Hi there!
Its Judy here
sharing a journal I created using

I think this image is so beautiful
and knew she would look great on this cover
and am loving the way it turned out!

I colored the image with
Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers.
My printed papers are from an older
K & Company 12x12 Paper Pad by Brenda Walton.
The title "Inspire" was die cut with a
Crafter's Companion die.

Designer Inspiration: Judy

Hello there!
It's Judy here sharing my inspiration project for this month.

I used one of the new release images.

My card is a pretty simple design,
but, I like the way it turned out.

I colored the image with Colourblend Pencils and fussy cut.
I added some glitter glue to the wings.
The printed background paper I used is from DCWV
which  mated with solid card stock.
I adhered the image with foam tape.
I cut a strip of card stock and added glitter letter stickers
for my sentiment. I finished up with some gems.

I hope you'll check out this beautiful image

December Inspiration - Judy

Hello all!
Today I'm sharing a little inspiration with you.

I created a pop up box card using

I started by coloring the image with Spectrum Noir pencils and fussy cutting.
I chose coordinating yardstick and designer paper.

I constructed the box base out of a 10 x 7 inch piece
of solid dark pink card stock and added panels
with the DP. I attached the image with acetate
to a strip of card stock inside the box.

I cut out several die cuts using Crafter's Companion
and Taylored Expressions dies.
These were all attached the same way as the main image
with the exception of the fan and sentiment die cuts,
which were glued directly to the center flap.

And... the project is complete!

April Inspiration - Judy

Hello all!
It's Judy here sharing my inspiration for this month!

I decided to create an easel card using

I started by printing and coloring the image with
Prismacolor pencils and fussy cutting.
Next I cut a 12x12 inch piece of mediam blue card stock down
to 12x5 inches. I folded the 12 inch side in half to create a
6x5 inch card base and then folded the front in half again
to form the easel.

Next I covered the front of the card with dark blue card stock,
cut a frame out of medium blue with a Paper Artist die
and adhered to white card stock.

I adhered the white piece to the card base.
I cut accent pieces from the die set in medium blue
and adhered to dark blue card stock and fussy cut around
to use as a background for the sentiment.

I popped the image on the white & die cut background with foam tape.
The sentiment piece was popped on the bottom of the card base.
I added some gems for the finished product!

I hope I've inspired you just a little bit today
and that you'll check out this set and the other products available at

September Inspiration by Judy

Happy Monday!
It's Judy here
sharing my inspiration project for this month.

I created a mixed media canvas using

I started by coloring the image with pencils and fussy cutting.
I pulled out a 12"x12" canvas,
a 12"x12" piece of DP from K &Company
and some mixed media gel.

I adhered the DP to the canvas with the gel.
Next I pulled out some metallic acrylic paints,
a Heid Swaps stencil and gold texture pasted
and some wood and chipboard pieces.

I took the metallic paints and randomly painted the canvas,
just to give a little interest to the background.
I applied the texture paste through the stencil.

While I left the paint and texture paste to dry,
I primed the wood and chip board pieces with white gesso.
When these pieces were dry Painted with gold paint.
I painted the sides of the canvas with gold paint also.

Once everything was dry, I added all my pieces to the canvas.
I ended up adding a fan I made with card stock,
some paper flowers and some seed beads.

This is what I ended up with!

I love doing these mixed media canvases
because there's no right or wrong
and I think they make great gifts!

I hope I've inspired you to give it a try!
You'll have fun and want to do more!

Until next time
Happy Crafting!
