Cute Ruffle Bum
Monagram
What you'll need:
- Onesie
- 2 Coordinating fabrics
-Wonder Under
-Sewing machine or thread and needle
-Sewing accessories (Scissors, thread etc..)
1. Cut your fabric into 1.5 inch strips and 19 inches long. There are 4 of each color.
Note: You can surge your edges, but I like the frayed look, so I didn't on this one.
2. Set your sewing machine to the longest stitch length possible, and your tension very Loose.
Sew down the middle of each strip, it should gather a little bit on it's own,but pull one of the threads gently so it gathers the fabric.
3. Choose where you want your ruffles, pin the first ruffle (I thought it was easier to start at the bottom and work my way up)
After you pin it, sew it together.
4. Fold over the ruffle you just sewed, and you will need to pin you next ruffle as close to the first ruffle sewn as possible. Then Sew down the middle of the ruffle.
Keep adding ruffles until you are done.
