Ltd really is just an espresso bar - here it is all about coffee. Perhaps that is what the Ltd stands for?! Staff were even happy for food and drinks from outside to be bought in on account of the fact that they only offer coffee - which was handy with kids in tow! We were staying just down the road so I managed several pit stops here - the coffee was perfect on every visit. There is some seating between high stools and a cute booth down the back and an active take-away trade to keep the charming, coffee-loving staff busy.

Heading due north from Auckland on highway one you will hit, after about an hour and a half, the roadside village of Kaiwaka. It is a great pitstop boasting public toilets, a playground, several eateries and a cheese shop with imported and local cheeses. We usually stop here en route to Northland to see the folks.. but this time, for the first time we stopped for coffee and chose this crazy arsed place - it will become a regular going forwards! Enter the wonderland...
