Mo's DP2 Challenge #111 (and more)

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  I'm off to a bit of a late start this morning, but I always like to start off my Thursdays with a card for the Mo's DP2 Challenge!  This week's theme is "the great outdoors".  How fun!My card is also for two other challenges I like to do if I can find the time - BasicGrey Challenge #58 (Lost & Found) and The Corrosive Challenge #138 (CASE the DT).

Here is the card I made for the challenges:

I chose Linda Palmer's cute snowman card in this post to CASE for the Corrosive Challenge.  I kept her layout, location of embellishments and circular sentiment, but changed the colors, papers and images.  I started with a card base of SU Always Artichoke and layered with GKD Lipstick Red and patterned paper from the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding collection.  For my outdoor scene, I chose this delightful image of Mo's called Irma and Vieno Skiing.  You can find it in Mo's old store here.  I printed the image on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I added Ice Glitter to the fur on their hats and boots and Polar White Flower Soft for the snow.  My "lost & found" item was a mailer from Nordstrom.  The envelope was a beautiful shimmery blue on one side and silver on the other.  I had tucked it away for some future crafting use - perfect for the BG challenge!  I  used the blue side to cut my flourish (Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish) and a couple of the snowflakes.  The silver snowflakes were punched from the other side.  I also used the blue side to mat the sentiment (from JustRite Stampers A Merry Little Christmas set).  A few rhinestones added to the snowflake centers finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful day!  See you soon!

Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #10

This is my second post today.  I'm back with a quick post to share the card I made for the Weekly Challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog.  This week, the challenge had the following requirements:
- use pink and green
- create a thank you card
- use stripes somewhere on the card
- use something scalloped

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a base card of GKD Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus and layered with GKD Innocent Pink. The striped patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Green At Heart 6x6 pad. The floral image is from the JustRite set, Breath of Spring.  I colored it with Copics and highlighted with Spica pens.  The sentiment and frame are from the Gina K. Designs set, Fanciful Tags and they are mounted on one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tags die cuts.  My scalloped element is the Spellbinders Scalloped Oval.  I added Liquid Pearls to the flower centers and the scalloped frame.  A Kraft taffeta bow and some Queen & Co. adhesive pearls finished my card.

Have a great evening!  See you soon!

Another JustRite Card

Good morning!  Hope your day is starting off great!  I have a card to share this morning that I made for a couple of challenges.  First, it is another for Joan's Garden's Weekly Challenge #8 where the only requirement was to use JustRite stamps. Go check out all the details of this challenge, because there are some awesome prizes to win if you participate (see my sidebar for a photo of the Grand Prize kindly donated by JustRite).  There was also a blog hop associated with the challenge, giving you even more chances to win a prize from Joan's Gardens!  I was honored to be one of the Guest Designers for the hop.  Joan generously invited the Guest Designers to make an additional card for the challenge if we chose to, so that's what I did.

My card is also for the CAS Challenge (CAS0306) on The Outlawz site.  This week it was a color challenge.
Here are the colors we had to use:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a cardbase of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  The matting is done with GKD Grass Green CS that was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The image is from the JustRite set, Breath of Spring.  I colored it with Copic markers and added dots of light green glitter to the frame.  The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Origins 6x6 pad.  I used Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Ovals to cut my main image panels.  A bit of yellow gingham ribbon from my stash finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you soon!

Joan's Garden's Weekly Challenge #8 - JustRite Blog Hop

Good morning! Today I am sharing my project for this week's Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #8 and a special blog hop featuring JustRite Stamps!  I am so excited and honored to have been chosen by Joan and Selma to participate in this blog hop!

Here is my card:

A few words about my project.  I started with a card base of SU Vintage Violet and some beautiful patterned paper from Webster's Pages Spring Market/Yacht Club/Country Estate Petite Papers. My main focal image is from the gorgeous JustRite set, Breath of Spring Borders & Centers. It was stamped on Cryogen White Iridescent with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I cut out the main image and mat with Spellbinders Petite Oval Dies.  I added some Liquid Pearls around the border of the oval frame and some May Arts wide Crocheted Lace Ribbon.  I finished it with two butterflies I punched from the same patterned paper pack with a MS punch.
