WIP- Test Terminator and Predator

 So for the Past few week I have been in a painting rut. But before the rut happened me and my friends had a Painting Jam at my buddy Ryan's house. All we did was sit around a table and painted (gasp). And at that time is wanted to do a test Terminator to see where i wanted my colors to go on it. So while Ryan was teaching my other friends how to paint well, I worked on my terminator. And I think he came out really cool.

He's not completely done but almost there. Just a few minor things to do on him, like cables, the storm bolter, and a skull on his hand. I would say 85% done.

 But that's not the only thing I have been working on. I'm also working on a Predator tank from the Chapter Armory.

Just got the Foundation Paints on as well as the base color. Painting such a large model is really hard. But I think I'm going to go for an extreme line highlight for all the hard edges of the tank. The Sponsons kinda got messed up in the Priming stage so I'm think about making some new ones and starting those from scratch.

Thanksgiving Hobby Work

So after I did all my chores and cleaned around the house for tonight's dinner, my wife gave me some time to work on some of my Marines. I did get a lot kinda done. It's a start.

So on with the Pictures.

Some Terminators of the first company. being used as a test for the rest.

Primed my Sternguard.

This is my indulgence miniature. I'm think maybe paint as Imperial Fist, or Black Templar.

Some extra marines as well as the Plasma gunner for 2nd Squad.

 So this is Brother Crispin of 2nd Squad. I think this is so far my best work. Even more so than my Captain. I went away from the Drybrushing and did straight layering with extreme highlights.
I think he looks a hell of a lot better than just drybrushing.

Where I Stand

 So with the challenge under way I want to post where my 750pt army stands right now.

3rd Squad needs Bolters and Power Packs.

Needs to be painted.

Sternguard Squad need to be primed and painted.

3rd Squad need to finish the Squad leader and Marine# 1 and 4.

2nd Squad need to be painted.

2nd Squad needs to be painted and prime the first Marine.

Need to paint Captain Marcus and the Objective Marker.

I hate the Desert -Another Vanguard Veteran

Well we are still in the process of moving but last night was awful. My wife woke me up around 2 this morning say it was "Freaking Hot." Come to find out our AC died and so the whole house is hot, and living in a desert it sucks really bad. So now we sit in a hot house for the AC guy to get here, but its okay the AC guy is the dad of a friend of mine and I know how busy he is during the summer. So we'll sweat it out for a bit.

But you all are here for some minis so here you go another Vanguard Veteran.

Rarw I Hate Moving- Vangurd Veteran

Like the title says I hate moving to a new house but it need to be done. With the way the economy is in the US you just cant make it on your own anymore. So my family and my Mother-in-law are all moving in to a bigger house.

But there is a good thing about it all, I get my own space in the garage for my Hobby Stuff. Mind you where I live its a blessing and a curse. In the winter its nice but in the summer its Freaking HOT!! Oh well. I get my own space at least.


So enough of the rambling here is some more Marines of the Iron Skull Chapter.

So this is one of my Vanguard Veterans. I have always believed the Vets of first have the most bionic implants of the chapter. He has the Studded shoulder pad as the other Vets of First company.



So I will be posting more at a later time I have about four more assembled.

Count As Sternguard

So some of the first models I made when I got home were 5 Sternguards. I love how the different parts of the 1st Company have a little bit of  rivalry with each other. So I made some Sternguards out of the Command and Tactical Squad Spruces.

So basically they are just regular marines, but when you add the little details that's when they become true First Company Veterans.

All of my First Company Vets that are not in Terminator Armor have the right shoulder pad as a Studded one. I like the look of the Studded pads and it sets them apart form the rest of the Chapter.

Another thing that sets them apart is the amount of Seals and Tabards they have on them.

So I give you Squad Tertullian assigned to 3rd Company Brother Captain Marcus.

All will be armed with boltguns.
