MCT 55th New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the
55th New Release
from My Creative Time!
I hope you all LOVED yesterday's inspiration!!

Today's new stamp/die set is:
SHINE LIKE THE STARS
For my inspiration today I went along the CAS lines pulled out my sewing machine for this card. I used 3 of the new star dies and die cut them using some pretty designer paper from MME. To attach them to my card I ran a line of stitching through the stars. Love the way it looks and the extra texture it adds to my card.
The sentiment is also from the new set...LOVE the font on these, don't you?!?!
To finish my card I added some random sequins.

LOVE...{Trendy Twine DT}

Good Morning!!
It is my DT day over on the Trendy Twine blog!
I have another Valentine's Day card to share using some featured products of the month
I know I have said this before but shaker cards are so fun to make and people love getting an interactive card! Totally LOVING that the sequins are matching the twine colors as well!!!
Here is a close up of the shaker part. I did add some pink and white seed beads to my sequin mix for some extra bulk in my heart. It's a great way to fill up your shaker without using a ton of sequins...in my case because I LOVE to hoard them...LOL!

Happy Valentine's Day.....MCT Tag It Tuesday

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday everyone!!
It is Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time and I have some fun tags to share!!
For Christmas I got a Fuse tool which I have been dying to play with it! I have seen so many cool projects using it and even started a Pinterest board HERE for ideas.
Using one of those pins, I made some Valentine's Day shaker tags and I have to say I LOVE how they turned out!!!
To make my tags, I started out by die cutting the tags, the top layer in white cardstock and the bottom layer in a pretty pink cardstock. Next using the XOXO stamp from the "You Touched My Heart" set and some Angel Pink Memento Ink, I repeatedly stamped the sentiment to fill the entire tag. Moving along I stamped by main sentiment and then added some smaller die cut hearts.
Once both of my tags were assembled, I heated up my fuse tool and slipped both tags into a plastic 4X6 pocket. Since one side was already fused, I positioned my tag where I wanted it and then fused the other side closed. Before sealing off the top, I filled the pocket with my sequins and then fused it closed. Another punch to make the hole for the twine through plastic and my tags were all done.

MCT Do Over Thursday~ Happy New Year!

Good Morning everyone and Happy New Year's Eve!
Today is the final day of 2015 and the MCT DT is doing our
"Do Over Thursday" where we remake a past project with some new MCT stamps and dies.
This is the card that I am remaking.....
you can find all the details HERE on how I made this. I LOVE this card but seeing that it is New Years Eve, I thought I would update this one to fit the day :)
Here is my new version of the card....
To make my card I started with a black cardstock A2 size card and layered it with a piece of gold metallic paper and then a white Stitched Rectangular Frame Die piece. Using the Circle Stitching Pattern Die, I added the circles by running it through my big shot.
For my glasses I used an older set that I completely forgot about~Cocktail Party Stitched Dies. I die cut the glasses in a fun glittery black paper and added some gold beverages to the inside...LOL! I wrapped some gold thread to add to the backside of the glasses and then embellished with some gold sequins.
To finish my card off, I stamped my sentiment using the Teeny Tag Holidays stamp set.
Cheers everyone to a wonderful end of 2015 and an awesome 2016!!

So there is my  "Do Over Thursday" card. Make sure to check out more inspiration over on the

Trick or Treat w/Trendy Twine!

Good Morning Everyone!
I am up on the Trendy Twine Blog today
Can you believe Halloween is in just 2 days ?? Are you ready for your trick or treaters??
What about those treats for class parties??
Today's project is perfect for that using my featured products of the month
Now a days schools are pushing for less treats to be sent into class for parties (at least in our area) so I have a solution that is still LOTS of fun to give and receive. These school age kiddos LOVE to get fun holiday pencils and you can find them for every holiday and in just about every color! Well why not grab 2 and slide them onto the Skinny Candy Bags? They fit perfectly and dressed up with a cute holiday tag...you can have these ready to hand out in no time!
For my tag, I made a mini shaker on the bottom using the newly released Grape Licorice Batty sequins. Then using stamps and dies from My Creative Time for my tag, I attached it onto the Skinny Candy Bag by wrapping some of the beautiful and perfectly matching Grape Licorice Trendy Twine several time around the bag and tying it into a bow. Some random Grape Licorice Batty sequins completed my project and these are now ready to be given out.

Trendy Twine & Batty Sequins! {POST #2}

Good Morning everyone!!

If you are looking for my Trending Now project with My Creative Time, please click HERE or scroll down to the next post.

Today is a fun group post day over on the
The DT is showcasing some new Halloween sequins being added to the store that are perfect for all those Halloween shaker cards!!
For my card, I am showcasing the new Grape Licorice Trendy Twine and the adorable Grape Licorice Batty Sequins.
I LOVE making shaker cards! They add such a fun added element to cards and tags! To make my card, I started by die cutting 3 circles using the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies from MCT. I then added a piece of acetate to hold the sequins in the circle die cuts. Next I added a layer of fun foam to fit the circle cut outs and to add the room necessary to place my sequins inside. Before I added all the layers, I made sure to stamp my sentiment into the largest of the circle so everything lined up and the sentiment could be seen perfectly. The fun part comes next...adding the sequins! I filled each section with the amount of the Grape Licorice Batty Sequins I wanted and closed it up by placing another piece of acetate onto the back. Those sequins have plenty of room to shake and are not going to fall out!
I finished my card off my added some Grape Licorice Trendy Twine to the top of my card. Such a beautiful color of twine!!!
Some random extra sequins and some cute bat die cuts complete my Halloween card!

"Boo"
You should be coming from the very talented

For my project I made a shaker card! I LOVE making them and I just can not get enough of that adorable Ghost stamp/die from the Too Cute to Spook set! To make my card I started out with a piece of orange cardstock for my card base then layered a piece of black topped with a white piece die cut using the largest Stitched Rectangular Frame Die. I wanted to add some color to white cardstock so I used some orange spritz and some black color shine. Just enough to get inky and to take away the white white of the cardstock.
Next using the ghost die, I die cut him into the center of my cardstock. I layered a piece of acetate to cover the cut out and filled him with some sequins. To seal him up, I backed him with a small piece of vellum. I couldn't help but add some more cute googly eyes.....(these were sitting on my desk left over from my last project that you can see HERE)
Using that oh so cutie "Boo" die, I cut him in some black cardstock as well as some fun foam so I could pop him up under my ghost. To flow with the rest of the card I colored the "boo" with my Wink of Stella for some extra shimmer and shine. To then finish my card off, I tied some Totally Orange Trendy Twine  around the top of my card and added another sentiment. The tag is from the Fun Stitched Tag Dies set and the sentiment is part of the Too Cute To Spook new release set

MCT 45th New Release Sneak Day 1

Morning everyone and welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the
45th New Release from My Creative Time!
Today the DT will be showcasing the new and totally FUN set~
Stitched Starburst Dies
I LOVE making shaker cards and when I saw these new dies, that is the first thing that came to mind :)
I used 3 of the new Stitched Starburst Dies to make my shaker embellishment, piecing them together on some acetate. I did die cut the center starburst using a circle die from the Bunch of Stitched Circle Die set.
After filling the starburst with coordinating sequins I closed the shaker up and went about putting the rest of my card together. I was going for a CAS look with some sparkle so I used strips of black cardstock and added Wink of Stella shimmer to them. For the sentiment, I did the same thing with the Wink of Stella after die cutting the "thanks" sentiment". To finish my card up, I added some random matching sequins along side the card front.

Let's Celebrate!

Good Morning everyone! It is my DT day over on the Trendy Twine Blog!

The 4th of July is just a few days away I have another fun project to share using the Large Kraft Pillow Boxes and my all time favorite Trendy Twine~the Stars and Stripes!
Did you know that you can emboss these Kraft Pillow Boxes??? I did this one with the stars embossing folder from Cuttlebug and it gave the pillow box such an awesome texture.
I did keep my project on the CAS side to really showcase the embossing on the box as well as show that wrapping some of the gorgeous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine around the box and attaching a sweet tag is just the finishing touches a 3D project needs.
Here is a close-up of the twine holding on the star tag. For my tag I used one of the star dies from MCT~Bunch of Stitched Stars . The sentiment is from the newly released Wishing You Both The Best and was stamped onto the banner die from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies. You can also see more the embossing and how awesome it looks. Some random sequins in the red, white and blue and this project is ready for the 4th of July celebrations (filled with some candy of course)

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

MCT 41st New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 41st New Release!
So what did you think of yesterday's new die and all the amazing projects the DT shared? Pretty AWESOME right!!!! Well we have more today!!!!

Today the DT will be showcasing projects using the new set~
Fun Stitched Tag Dies
I had rainbows on the brain when I designed this card. The weather is getting warmer and I thought this would be a fun card to send to a friend after such a LONG winter we have had! I LOVE how this banner die cuts both the inside and the outside of a flag so I went with that and grabbed some colored cardstock from my stash to add as the center of each of the banner flags. I alternated added them to the underside of the black cardstock as well as placing them on top of the cardstock panel. After the banners were all die cut and attached to the black panel, I added it to the large Stitched Rectangular Frame Die cut in white. I wanted a simple sentiment, so I stamped the Hello from the Tab Notes stamp set and then popped the whole card mat up on some craft foam. I thought the card was missing something so I pulled out my sequins and added one of each color to coordinate with the banners.

Trendspotting SEQUINS w/ PKS!

Hi everyone!
This is my second post for today :)

~If you are looking for my Inspiration Wednesday project with My Creative Time please click HERE or scroll down to the next post~

I'm on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog today to share a trendspotting project with you today.
My inspiration came from a picture I saw on Pinterest of these sequins.
Mercy Tiara: Scraproom Sunday: Sequin Storage
Pinterest image found HERE
I LOVE using sequins on my projects and making shaker cards and tags. Since I have a growing supply of sequins, I am always looking for ways to store them. Pinterest to the rescue :) I actually started storing my sequins in these little glass jars but quickly realized that there is no good way in my small craft space to organize them. So I took to another storage solution....
This is only a few of my sequins...It is the perfect storage solution for me! The container trays can be stacked on top and placed on a shelf..out of the way but still accessible when I am searching for the colors I need for a project.

Now onto my project....I love how fun a card or tag can be when it is made into an interactive one, such as a shaker. I have 2 shaker tags to share, perfect for adding to a treat or gift bag.
Since Halloween is right around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it, I made these 2 holiday tags. Let's take a closer look at them.
 *******************
My first tag is this cute Halloween one. I used some green and orange sequins for this shaker and added them to the center of a tag I designed in the silhouette studio. This is a very simple tag design, a basic tag shape with a smaller tag shape cut out of the center. If you have never made a shaker card, there are several tutorials on Pinterest and/or YouTube. They are very easy to make!
Anyways once my shaker part was finished I embellished the front with the pumpkin from the Cottage Cutz set and stamped his face using the Pumpkin Face stamp set. Before completely assembling the tag, I did stamp the inside of the shaker part with my Halloween sentiment.
I finished my tag off with some more randomly places sequins, a May Arts ribbon, a fun sparkly button and some Totally Black Trendy Twine.

Peachy Keen Stamps Used:
*********************************
Here is my Christmas shaker tag. It was done the same way as the Halloween one, except I added green and red sequins inside the shaker part. I found this cute Christmas tree in the Silhouette store and just added my sweet PKS face to him. Some chalk and white gel pen to his cheeks for a little more cuteness and he was placed onto my tag.
I finished off the tag in the same way as well. Some May Arts ribbon, a green sparkly button and some Totally White Trendy Twine.

Peachy Keen Stamps Used:

So there is my trendspotting project. I know I love adding sequins to my projects.
These are a few other cards I have made using my PKS and sequins :)
Sequins make awesome embellishments
and
if you have yet to make a shaker card....you should really give it a try!
They are so fun and whomever receives one will surely LOVE it!!!

Hope you like these project and find some inspiration from it, thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT hump day!

Boo!....{Thrifty Thursday w/MCT}

Good morning everyone and welcome to another
My Creative Time's Thrifty Thursday.
A day set aside to share any type of project using our scraps/leftovers or recycling items as well as using My Creative Time stamps and dies!

For my project today, I used scraps of designer paper, and a few diecuts I had left over from my last Halloween card I made. I love the MME~Mischievous paper pad and for the 34th New Release sneak I made this card (HERE). My process of making cards always changes, so I end up cutting out several pieces, playing around with my design and then placing whatever cuts I don't use into a container for another time. I then can take this opportunity~ Thrifty Thursday~ to use some of those cuts.
Here is the card I made. I really love the way it turned out! Super cute and so not spooky...LOL!
Shaker cards are so easy to make and add an extra element of fun to cards. Inside mine I added some orange, black and white sequins and then some blue seed beads that I had in my stash.
Here is another angle of my card. I used the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies for the shaker part and then added that adorable Ghost die. I did stamp him with the new PKS face from the Trio of Girl Ghosts stamp set. For the sentiment, I used the letters from the Lowercase Fun Dies set and then just glued them to the front of my card. Some orange hemp twine, random sequins and some machine stitching and my card was finished.

Other Products Used:
My Minds Eye~Mischievous paper pad
Sequins, seed beads

What do you think of my card?? I love using up scraps that would otherwise pile up and get forgotten about! And shaker cards are so fun to make! If you have not tried one yet you really should!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for a special release and awesome blog hop!
You are going to LOVE this mini release!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Thursday!
