Boo!.....{PKS Photo/Sketch Challenge 14~13}

Morning everyone!
Welcome to another fun Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!!!!
Fall is in the air, the leaves are starting to change and it is almost Halloween time!!!
Can not believe how fast September is flying by!
Anyways the 15th of the month is the start of another Color/Photo Inspiration~Sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps!
Here are the 2 pictures....... They are fun ones!!!

For this challenge you can pick either the sketch OR the Photo/Color picture OR combine them both! A little twist to what we were doing with our challenges~ instead of having 2 weeks to enter, you now have a month to enter! So get playing with your PKS and enter to win an AWESOME prize!

So for my card, I used the sketch (kinda) and pulled 4 colors from the color pallet as well as used the spooky tree in the photo as my inspiration to come up with this card....hope you like it!
To make my card, I used the adorable pumpkin from the October 2013 SOTM and colored him using my copic markers. Then using one of the faces from the Pumpkin Faces stamp set, I stamped it onto my pumpkin, added some white gel pen to his eyes and then cut the entire image out.
Seeing that the inspiration picture has that spooky tree on the door, I found some designer paper that had a similar tree and used that to make my "scene". I attached the pumpkin to my card, and added some grass, some Trendy Twine and the sentiment from the newly released Trio of Girl Ghosts stamp set.

Hey Smartie!......{PKS Challenge 14~12}

Morning everyone!
Welcome to another fun Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!!!!

For this challenge you can pick either the sketch OR the Photo/Color picture OR combine them both! A little twist to what we were doing with our challenges~ instead of having 2 weeks to enter, you now have a month to enter! So get playing with your PKS and enter to win an AWESOME prize!
So for my card, I used the sketch and pulled 3 colors from the color pallet to come up with this card....hope you like it!
School is starting here for my boys in less than 3 weeks so I took advantage of this sketch to make a School themed card. I pulled the colors green, blue and orange from the photo as my starting point and found designer paper from Echo Park that was perfect. For that adorable pencil, I used a file from SVG Cutting Files, hid the face and added my own PKS face from the Simple Sallies stamp set. Some chalk, white gel pen and glossy accents finished him up. Isn't he adorable????
Then for the sentiment, I used the stamp set~ Smartie the Owl and matched it with the doodle mark from MCT. Looks like a pencil mark doesn't it?

And here is the card I made..
I used the current Deconstructed Sketch seen HERE for my card design and matched several older MCT stamps and dies with the new releases we are showcasing today! Always fun to go back into my MCT stash of goodness and play :)
Anyways here is how I made my card for today. Yeah I know it is a bit away from Halloween, but when I saw the sketch, I wanted to use the What a View! die with the new Alpha Pack! LOVE how those letters fit inside the viewfinder!!!
Ok back to how I put this together. I started with some kraft cardstock as my card base and added a layer of MME designer paper. Then using one of my FAVORITE dies~ the 3x4 Journal die, I layered my focal piece onto that. Again I used the What a View! die and stamped "boo" into the open spaces. Next I die cut 2 different Stitched Chevy Dies, the largest of the new Trio Stitched Banners and the adorable ghost from the Stitched Spooky Ghost Die set all in pattern papers from the MME Mischievous paper pack. Then I stamped my sentiment onto the banner die using the Fright Night stamp set and popped the banner up onto the front of my card. I also added some pop dots to the ghost and die cut an extra "eye" to add to the ghosts mouth :)
Some enamel dots to the corners of my journal die and my card was completed!

Try Me Tuesday w/ My Creative Time

Good Morning and welcome to
Try Me Tuesday with My Creative Time!

Today’s try me is to make a card with a window. This can be a simple opening revealing a sentiment, an image on the inside or whatever way you want to interpret a ‘"window".
For my project I made a shaker card using the 4x4 Journal Die + More set as my window.
Here is my card.....
Since my son is turning 11 in a few weeks, I thought I would make this card for him. He loves when I make these shaker cards (thinks they are so cool..LOL) and his favorite color is blue.
I used several My Creative Time dies for this card, and followed the sketch from Seize the Sketch for my card LO.
So here is how I made this.... I started out by cutting my card mat from the Echo Park~All about a Boy paper pack. I added my banner pieces by using the bottom of the arrow die from the 4x4 Journal Die + More and die cutting them in the matching navy cardstock from Bazzill. I ran a zig zag line of machine stitching across the banners to hold them in place and to add a fun decorative element.
To make the shaker part of my card, I used the frame, again from the 4x4 Journal Die + More  and cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the frame to use as the background to hold the sequins and sentiment. The sentiment was then stamped, using the Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments. Using some foam tape, I added my sequins to the center of the frame (after adding a piece of acetate) and then matted the whole piece onto a slightly larger piece of navy cardstock. I did double layer the foam tape so the sequins moved more freely inside the frame.
To further embellish my card, I added a balloon die cut, from the Stitched Party Dies set, some Totally White Trendy Twine and some randomly placed sequins.
To finish off my birthday card, I used the Stitched 4X6 Journal Die numbers to die cut the "11" having to trim the number down a bit to fit inside my balloon.

So what do you think????? If you have not tried making a shaker card,  I encourage you all to give it a try! They are so much fun!
Want to see more projects?
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!

What's Kickin' Chicken?......{PKS Sketch Challenge 14-05}{Post #1}

Morning  everyone! Can you believe it is April already?
OMG I can not get over how FAST the months are flying by!!
Which brings us to another Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch challenge!
Remember these challenges run for about 2 weeks so there is plenty of time to play along with us!!
Here is the new sketch...

And here is my take on it!
I just can not get enough of the chicken's from last months release! Kathy really knows how to WOW us all with her adorable stamps! So again I used the Faceless Chickens and the Chickie Faces for this cutie. I added my own touches but running my mats through my sewing machine. I always think it adds more to my card. I also used the new Chicken Wire background stamp and stamped it on top of my designer paper using matching ink from Tim Holtz.
Turned out pretty cute if I say so myself :)
Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, White, MME~Sunshine
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps
Dies~ My Creative Time
Embellishments~ copic markers, white gel pen, pop dots, sewing machine

PKS Sketch Challenge{14~03} & Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

Morning everyone!
~if you are looking for the My Creative Time 30th New Release Blog Hop post please click HERE~

It is time again for a new Peachy Keen Stamps challenge
and I am also pretty excited because Peachy Keen Stamps is also sponsoring the new Curtain Challenge Inspiration Challenge this month.

I was able to play with both the new sketch as well as tie it in with the Photo Inspiration

to make this sweet birthday card.
My inspiration for my card came by combining the sketch and using the peach color, my Peachy Keen Stamps and the flowers from the photo. I think this would make a cute birthday card for any tea lover. Plus the photo makes me think of a beautiful spring day, sitting on the porch, smelling the fresh flowers and enjoying a cup of tea..which I love BTW.
Not only do I just LOVE the January SOTM set (one of my favorites I think) but the face on this adorable tea pot is just the cutest!!!

Supplies Used:
Paper~My Minds Eye~Market
Kraft Card stock
Stamps~Peachy Keen Stamps~January SOTM
Dies~ My Creative Time~Tag Dies
Embellishments~ 3GJ~ Summer Sprinkles Crinkle Ribbon
enamel dots, flowers, pop dots
white gel pen

I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with the new challenge!!

Super EXCITING News!!!!!

Morning again everyone!
If you are looking for my Made In Minutes post w/ MCT please click HERE.

I have some super EXCITING news to share....
I am kinda still in shock myself over this news...
and
I have had to keep it a secret for a while now too....

So are you ready????

I was asked to join the Peachy Keen Stamps DT!
EEEKKKK how exciting right!!!
I am such a HUGE PKS fan!!! I play along with ALL of their challenges and participate in all of their awesome blog hops....
So now I get to be a part of it all as a new DT member!

I wanted to share a new card I created just for this announcement.
I used the new January SOTM kit and the sketch from last week's Mojo Monday to make this....
Such a fun card, don't you think??? And a perfect masculine birthday card too!
To put my card together, I again followed the sketch from last week's Mojo Monday

and used designer papers from My Mind's Eye~Lime Twist paper pack.
I did use my Cameo to cut out the circle and the matching SVG's from PKS~exclusive to Stamp of The Month Kit subscribers. The sentiment was stamped on the Vintage Stitched Label Die from My Creative Time.
I paper pieced the adorable tea cups using the matching papers from the paper pack as well as stamped one of the CUTE new faces from the kit.
The too cute chef with adorable stash was colored using my copic makers and then glued to the circle mat. I did pop up the tea cups to give a little more dimension the image.
Finally I added some Totally Natural Trendy Twine and tied it in a bow off to the side.

I hope you have enjoyed my card! I am so excited to share many more projects with you using all the ADORABLE PKS!!
Since I love linking my projects up on different challenges, I am going to play along with the following...

Merry Christmas......{PKS Challenge}

Hi everyone!!
I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the new Peachy Keen Stamps challenge that started this morning!
This week's challenge is the sketch shown below...
And here is my take on it...I hope you like it!!
My card is a 4x9 base long card using Echo Park's 'Tis the Season paper pack.
I just LOVE this paper!!!
I added my layers of the pattern paper and then using my sewing machine added a decorative zig zag stitch around the outside. The Christmas tree is actually a file from SVG Cutting Files~Kawaii Holiday Lollipop Covers. I ended up using the layers for the tree alternating the pattern paper with the green cardstock.
For the star on top I used the new Peachy Keen Stamps Nov SOTM set and the matching SVG. After cutting the star using my cameo, I stamped the stitched star on the pattern paper and then popped it up on top of the tree.
Then for the sentiment I used the Peachy Keen Stamps~ Christmas Tag Minis set stamped on a My Creative Time banner die from the Just Simply Live set.
Here is another angle of the card so you can see the dimension the Christmas tree has.
For the additional embellishing, I added some Totally Black Trendy Twine and some flat back green and red pearls.
So there is my card based on the sketch. I hope you have enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you all have a GREAT night!!!!

Boo!......{Halloween Challenge Card}

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!!
I am back with another Halloween card...this one for the Peachy Keen Stamps New Release Challenge #1 as well as a few other challenges my card fit into.
The challenge over at PKS was to use only 2 colors...sounds pretty easy until you go to make it.... After going though my Halloween paper collection, I found some fun patterns that were only purple and black so those are the colors I went and made a
cute purple monster based on the sketch that you can see below from Inspired by Stamping
I hope you like my card :)
What do you think??? Lots of purple that is for sure....LOL!
And such an adorable monster too :)

Here he is up close.
I added my PK Make a Monster Face to him, colored in his eye and mouth with my white gel pen and the rest of his face with my purple copic marker.
I also chalked him up a bit to give him some more dimension and color.

Here is the other side of the card. I used MCT Stitched Vintage Label die for the banner as well as the Lowercase Fun Dies for the sentiment.
I tied a bow using some crinkle ribbon from 3GJ and added a button from my stash embellished with the new release Totally Grape Trendy Twine.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Black, DCWV~The Spooky Time Stack
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~PK-691 Make a Monster Face

My Creative Time~ Lowercase Fun Dies
My Creative Time~ Stitched Vintage Label Die
Embellishments~ Trendy Twine~ Totally Grape

Thanks for Lending an Ear!......{PKS Challenge}

Morning everyone!!
Hope you are all having a GREAT weekend so far! I am off to my son's football game today but wanted to pop in with my entry for this week's Peachy Keen Stamps challenge.
For this challenge we were asked to create a project using the color photo as our inspiration. So I took the corn from the pic as well as the colors and paired it up with the sketch from

And here is what I came up with......

I started my card out with a Kraft cardstock base and added my layer of designer paper. I am sure you all know by now how much I love my sewing machine so I did add a border around the base mat and then another one around the mat for that adorable corn stalk (PK~292 Faceless Corn). After stamping my corn stalk on the background paper, I stamped it two more times on the yellow and green designer papers....all from the Echo Park Happy Camper paper pack. I paper pieced the corn, glued the pieces onto the stamped designer paper and then took the whole layer and attached it to my card.
Following the sketch, I added another strip of brown polka dot paper from the same stack and then stamped my sentiment on the green using the PKS~ Faceless Corn stamp set. I used 2 more corns that I paper pieced for the embellishment next to the sentiment, adding some Jute Sting to the tops. As the final finishing touches, I placed some navy candi's on each of the corners and added some white gel pen to the pks corn faces.
So there you have it! What do you think???

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, Echo Park~Happy Camper
Embellishments~ Jute String-Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions
Sewing Machine
Candi's
white gel pen, hot glue

Thanks so very much for stopping by and have a GREAT Sunday!!!

Clean and Simple Challenge.......{TKJ}{Post #2}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!

(for my Trendy Twine Back to School card please click HERE~ It is so super adorable if I can say so myself...LOL...you won't be dissapointed!)

It is time for a new challenge over at
And this week the challenge is:
Clean and Simple~ Otherwise known in the bloggy world as CAS
Since I LOVE making CAS cards, this challenge was a fun one for me!!
I used the Hypothesis from Fusion Card Challenge
and incorporated the sketch as well as the pink, green and kraft colors from the other~
So I guess you could say I fused them both! LOL!!
Here is my card....Hope you like it!!
I recently won this adorable C.C. Designs ~Pinwheel Birgitta from my friend and fellow DT sister Karen over at her challenge blog~ Word Art Wednesday and I could not wait to ink her up! Isn't she precious????
Once she was colored using my copic marker and matted on a scalloped oval using Blackboard Stock Paper  I went about assembling my card. I started my card by using a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock as my card base and then adding a mat of white cardstock.  Next I layered some Blackboard Stock Paper  with the pattern paper I used from Fancy Pants~Wonderful Day paper pack. Then using more matching paper from the same stack I die cut 3 banners using My Creative Time's~Vintage Stitched Label Dies. Then to finish my card I added a button from my stash and threaded some white hemp from the Brights Hemp Cord pack.

So there you have it....
my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

Eat Cake......{Birthday Card}

 Happy Friday!!!!!
Hope everyone had a GREAT week and have fun things planned for the weekend.
My oldest has his first regular season football game under the lights....so excited about that and my youngest is playing baseball tonight and tomorrow afternoon.
Other than that, we hope to have a very relaxing weekend of just hanging out at home :)

I wanted to share a birthday card I made for a few challenges using this adorable cake and sentiment freebie I picked up over at Neat and Tangled...
Here is my card...hope you like it!!!

So for my card I used the sketch from this week's Seize the Sketch and rotated it so it was on it's side....

Then using my Silhouette Designer Studio, I imported the digi's and went about designing my card.
I traced and then added the black lines back to the adorable cake so when I printed it out I could add some color using my copic markers. But before I did that I made a frame around my image so when I added it to my card it gave the cake a little more added color and more room to pop up. I also added some stickles to the frosting and candle...so cute!

Then for the sentiment, I added it to the size mat I wanted for my card, printed the sentiment out and then had my silhouette cut the mat. Again using my copics, I added some color and my card was ready to put together!

The papers I used for my card are from Fancy Pants~Wonderful Day paper pack and the card base is from SU~ a gift from my friend Norma (yeah I have been hoarding this card base and found the perfect card to use it for!!)

So there is my birthday card....What do you think?????
Thanks so very much for stopping by and have a GREAT Friday!!!!!
