Summertime!!!!

The weather has been so nice up here in Wasilla!! There were some thunderstorms last night, but today the temperature is in the upper 70’s. It is a good feeling to be in summer. The weather just makes you feel good. We must keep these memories for when we are depressed this winter! Ewww . . . .

We recently just got back from a trip to Seward. It is always good to visit there, but it is depressing that we no longer have a boat to fish from. Our freezer is lacking Halibut in a BIG way! To take our minds off of fishing, Dad, Mom, and I went for a hike up to Vaught Lake. We brought Brandy and Pete and they had fun times swimming in the lake. Cliff planned on going, but got a little tired and didn’t bring the proper shoes.

This weekend we are planning to go King fishing, so maybe that will make us feel better about the lack of fish. I will be heading back to Seward on Monday, while Cliff gets is dose of radiation. I need to be away form him, to avoid getting one myself. I plan on staying there through Jillian’s Wedding (July 7th), so I hope to hear form you or see you around!

New Beginnings

Well . . . We did it. We got married on January 13th of this year. Ever since it has been a roller coaster of good times and bad times. We are glad we got married and very happy!! As most of you know, Cliff has been diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. He recently had his thyroid removed, and is healing up nicely. He also will be going through iodine radiation therapy soon. We see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is GOOD!!

I am new to this whole “blogging” thing, so be patient with me. If I don’t give you all the info you want to know, tough luck. Pick up the phone once in a while!!!
I just finished working last week!! Yeah! I should be keeping pretty busy this summer. I am starting a Masters program at University of Alaska Southeast, in Reading. I am taking some online classes, and will be traveling to Juneau next summer!! I also plan on flagging, makin’ the big bucks. But right now, I am enjoying relaxing and taking care of Clifford. Though, he is pretty much taking care of himself. I just need to make sure he doesn’t work too hard.

This is the sidewalk that Cliff has been working on. He is one talented guy. He can do anything! I knew I married him for good reasons!! He has been doing odd jobs, since he is on “light duty” until the doctor gives him the thumbs up to go to work. He is going crazy sitting at home. .

There will be more later, but give us a call for god's sake!!
