Kuala Selangor Outing

Last Sunday we had a family outing with all Dearie Suki's family members to Kuala Selangor. Ever since his late 'tai ku' passed away last March'07, we seldom meet the rest of his aunties and uncles. It is such a pity and sad case that his late 'tai ku' passed away after being diagnosed with the final stage ovarian cancer. Furthermore she detected this on the day she is supposed to be retire from her working life as a head nurse in a private maternity hospital. She is still single and loves my Dearie Suki so much.

She left a lump sum of money for him to manage her funeral and other services, and now with the balance of the money, my Dearie Suki will organize a family outing every year. We organized a trip to Kuala Selangor and then we had dinner at Ijok, the one famous for the Beggar's Chicken.

We started our journey at about 3 pm and met up with the rest of the family members at his uncle house in Bukit Jalil.

Both Le- Ann and Ee-Thern getting ready and can't wait to go. I love this photo so much, both of them trying to camwhore themselves and I didn't realize they are playing with my new camera.

Le-Ann is very happy that she is going 'kai kai' again after she recover from her sickness. For about a week she has been staying at home cos Daddy tell her no 'kai kai'.

My Ee-Thern kept asking me " Mommy, reach d ah". Aiyor... farn sei yan. I get him to suck him thumb and sleep first.

Hot and sunny weather.

Finally both of them slept all the way till we reached Kuala Selangor.

We reached Kuala Selangor at about 4.30 pm and we brought them to Pasir Penampang. Stop over and we walked around the small town. Quite a number of shops selling fresh fish balls, fish, anchovies, and other dried stuffs.

Le-Ann with a grumpy face cos just woke up from her nap.

After few minutes of warming up, hahaha... back to normal can play and run here and there. Wah can even ask Daddy to buy her a big packet of Keropok.

Fishballs and Yong Tau Foo for sale.

Playing by the side of the sea. So, so, so HOT.

Le-Ann : Mommy, ah boy want to jump down!

This 'Hiao Char Boh' playing with my sunglasses. Aiyor... Mommy GUCCI sunglasses very expensive one leh.

After that we went over to the wet market to buy some fresh seafood and fish. The rest of my 'Yee Mah Ku Cheh' buy so much and Dad, was telling me some of the seafood are delivered down from KL. So, why buy so much since it is not any cheaper!

Le-Ann : Mommy, faster la very 'chou chou'.

Dearie Suki is so smart to bring this ice box along. Hahaha.... I also buy some fishes and lala too.

It was almost 6 pm and Uncle Peter wanted to go Bukit Melawati. Alamak... what to see over there. But end up didn't go cos we booked the dinner at 6 pm. Dearie Suki guide them to the restaurant and there are 5 cars following behind us. So must make sure we didn't 'salah jalan', if not 'malu' only.

The restaurant is located in remote area and got to go through the bumpy road and passed through all the palm oil estate. But that is 5 years back but now it is all tar road and the road is no longer bumpy.

We booked 3 tables and it is a set dinner. Per table is RM299 and the menu consist of :

1. Beggar's Chicken
2. Beggar's Duck
3. Beggar's Pork Knuckles
4. Beggar's Glutinous Rice
5. Steamed Assam Pomfret
6. Kon Chin Har / Prawns
7. Kam Heong Crab
8. Black Pepper Pig's Stomach Soup
9. Stir-fried Vegetables
10. Fruits

I asked Dad before is this the way Beggar cook their food at home. The chicken is wrapped with aluminium foil then the outer part is covered with mud /clay. Then is is burried in a hole with fire burning on top of it.

I realized the food standard drop unlike few years back it tastes quite good. Maybe now is too commercialized and there are so many tourist buses stop over. But anyway the rest of the family members enjoyed the dinner but not for me and Dearie Suki or perhaps maybe we went there too often with Dad and Mom last time. So there is nothing special to us anymore.

Total bill came out to RM 925.60 plus all the 'tip tip tup tup'.... drinks la, peanuts la, keropok la, tissue la....

So for those who like to try out, here is the contact :

New Beggar's Delicious Restaurant ( Ijok )

Outing In Mid Valley

Yesterday is a public holiday and I told Dearie Suki lets bring the kids out to either One Utama or Mid Valley and he chosen Mid Valley because is nearer to our house. Off we go at 11 am after both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern took their bath.

We were so lucky cos we got a nice parking within 1 minutes and it is right infront of the Central Court exit. Haha.... We had our lunch in Sushi King. I had the Sushi from the conveyor belt, Dearie Suki had the Unagi Don, and both of the small one share a set of Kodomo Bento come with the Yakult drink.

Look at this Le-Ann, enjoy her Bento set so much.

And this small boy, playing with the toothpicks and first thing he do is to drink the Yakult first.

Mommy with Le-Ann & Ee-Thern

After lunch we went over to Carrefour cos Dearie Suki wanted to get some X'Mas deco to decorate his client cafe. When it is almost near Christmas, Carrefour is marking down the price on all the ornaments. Me also sapu quite a number of items from there.

Beautiful decoration at Mid Valley Central Court.

Dearie Suki went back to Carrefour to get more deco items and left me and the kids wander around in Mid Valley. Bring the two of them to Pet's Wonderland and stop by to watch the Fairies Dance Show from the 3rd Floor. We were there about 30 minutes just to watch the dance and the two of them sit down quietly and concentrating from the top.

Dearie Suki came and joined us after he 'kau tim' his thing and we went over to Jusco to do some groceries shopping before we head back home. In the car both of them slept. I think they must be too tired of not taking their afternoon.

But..... once woke up after 3 hours of sleeping, little Le-Ann was having fever and followed by my little Ee-Thern. Aiyor....really 'sui and both of them having high fever and what I could think off must be the Viral Fever Infection. Dearie Suki kept nagging me next time no more going out to places which is so crowded with people.

Today, little girl didn't go to babysitter house cos she started to vomit this morning and I only send my boy to babysitter place. Dearie Suki got to take a day off to take care of little girl. Hope both of them get well really soon.

Family Outing To Genting Highlands

My babysitter , Ah Yoke Cheh, called me on Friday in the office telling me she wanted to take EL on Monday. Alamak, always last minute. What to do got to put in my leave form on Friday and luckily my STP have good mood and sign off my application.

Since Monday is an off day, I called up Dearie Suki to check with him whether want to bring the kids for a short trip or not. Within a minute he answered " OK, la you decide where to go" So the nearest is to Genting Highlands lor since this place 'ngam' the kids.

Check the internet hotel booking and called up all the hotels in Genting, oh shit... all fully booked. Then called up EC, my colleague whose hubby work up the hill see whether she can help to book a room or not. Finally she got a room for us in First World Hotel for 1 night. First time staying in this hotel, damn small leh. Anyway EC only charged me RM50, so what do you expect!

Half way up the hill, little boy cried and vomitted in the car once we reached the hill. Luckily he only vomitted water, if it is milk, I think we will U turn back to home. Maybe is because the pressure makes him feel uncomfortable.

Reached Genting at about 1.30 pm and Ee-Thern slept after he vomitted. We went to the Mushroom Farm, parked our car there and let him sleep till at about 2.30 pm. While waiting, me and little girl went into the Mushroom Farm and have a walked in there and took some photographs.

We had our Bak Kut Teh lunch at EC hubby's restaurant. Guess what? My little boy finished up a bowl of rice with Bak Kut Teh soup. After that, he 'cheng san' already can run here and there with his Cheh Cheh. Lunch is FOC cos EC's hubby didn't want to bill us. Wah, really 'Pai Seh' leh!

Le-Ann at Mushroom Farm, Genting Highlands

Waiting for Check-In in First World Hotel

First time in my life seeing so many people checking in in the First World Hotel. Looks like a big group of people going for a war. After we placed our luggage into the room, 4 of us straight headed to the in-door theme park.

Little Le-Ann always the brave one, kept mentioning " Mommy, Daddy I want to sit this please"

This little boy, I am a bit dissapointed cos he kept saying " Mommy, I don't want". I really don't understand what he scared for. End up whole day in the stroller and the big girl kept repeating the rides she sit.

Both in the Merry Go Round rides. This one both me and Dearie Suki, dragged him in with us.

Choooco Train , surprisingly this one is Ee-Thern favourite.

Dearie Suki, went to see the 3D Motion Master and left me with the kids at the dessert shop. He bought one bowl of Winter Melon and one bowl of Bubur Cha Cha for us and a cup of Corn for the kids. Alamak... so old already still fancy all this motion master stuff.

Le-Ann being the ' Tai Kar Cheh ', trying to push Ee-Thern in the stroller the whole night. After dinner at about 9.30 pm we headed back to the hotel. After cleaning up for the kids, Ee-Thern slept within seconds and Le-Ann started to cry and telling her Daddy that she wanted to go back home. For about 20 minutes she kept crying and after a round of scolding from me, finally she slept.

Nice mountain view from the hotel room in the morning

Morning after we had our breakfast in McDonald's we went to the in-door theme park again. Didn't bring them to the out-door theme park because we find that the rides is not suitable for the kids.

Wah, both got style ya

My little girl loves all these rides and I think in total we have purchased RM50 token for her on these rides. Dearie Suki left 3 of us again and went to the toilet but after 1/2 hour still didn't see him. Guess where he go ? He quietly sneaked into the CASINO. After 45 minutes, came back and tell me this whole trip is Free Of Charge! Huh.... he won RM300 in betting the 'Big Small'. Luckily I called him on the handphone, if not the RM300 give back to the late Uncle Lim lah.

3 of them, don't know why they are so excited on this game machine.

I think my Ee-Thern prefer the game machine rather than the rides.

After checking out at about 12.30 pm we headed back home straight cos me and Dearie Suki were too tired to stay on. Reached home at about 3 pm and both the kids slept in the car all the way from Genting back to house.

It is quite an enjoyable trip but with the kids it could be quite tiring. In the car Dearie Suki was telling me, our plan to bring the kids overseas next year ( cos little girl wanted to sit in an aeroplane so much ) got to be postponed till they grow older. They are just too noisy and super active and I don't think so I can even control both of them.

Mom's Birthday At Shogun, One Utama

Tonight we celebrated Mom's Birthday at Shogun, One Utama. After 2 days of meeting at Armada Hotel, PJ finally it has ended and atleast tonight a day to relax and celebrated mom's birthday together with sis and family at Shogun. Not going to talk much cos my mind is just too tired to think. Here are some of the photos taken during tonight dinner.

Little girl, getting ready and she even choose her own dress. This smocking design dress bought by sis from Vietnam. See how sweet she is in this dress rather than jeans. We went to mom's house at about 6 pm to pick them up and reached One Utama just in time for the buffet at 7 pm. Luckily sis make the booking one week in advance and got a nice place for dinner.

The Japanese Buffet for adult is RM52 ++ and for kids above 6 yrs old is 1/2 price. So Le-Ann and Ee-Thern is free of charge. Well, I think is worth to go and there are so much variety of Japanese foods. Mom and Dad really can wacked, looking at their face expression I think they enjoy it so much especially the sashimi, prawn tempura and the baked cheese escargot. Me and Dearie Suki, only 2 rounds 'kau tim' and I am too full and almost up to my throat. I am scared of having buffet now because for the past 2 days during the conference it is also buffet style during lunch and dinner.

It is time to wacked the food to the fullest. My favourite is sashimi, wow ate too much don't know whether tomorrow will 'Oh Li Tu' or not.

Both the kids also enjoying the food there. Both of them loves the fried udon noodles and chawan mushi and not forgetting their ice-cream and jellies and orange.

These 4 kids are Mom and Dad's precious. Their favourite grandchildren and pampered them the most.

Family photos time. From now on I tell myself, whenever we go for dinner or outing, must make sure we take photos for remembrance. Anyway all of us enjoy it so much and looking forward for more dinner together.

Tomorrow supposed to plan to celebrate mom and Ee-Thern's birthday at Ah Mah house but I am too tired to bake 2 birthday cakes for both the birthday lady and birthday boy. So I told mom to postponed it next Sunday and we will have an 'Asam Laksa Birthday Party' then. Too much steamboat party at home and we got bored with it. As a surprised for her, I am planning to make a Strawberry & Choco Ice-Cream Cake for mom and for Ee-Thern boy, to bake a Moist Choco Cake and decorate into a Deep Sea Ocean with lots of fishes and sea creature cos he love fishes. Hopefully I can make it without the maid. I am still figuring out how to do the fishes with buttercream. So keep a watch out next week.

Family Outing To Raub, Pahang

We are going to Raub, Pahang today to visit mom's cousin brother and cousin sister who have a fruits orchard in Raub. Sis SMS me the night before that they will be waiting for us at the Gombak Toll at 9 am. OMG.... so early ah, I am so scared that I can't wake up cos still blur from drinking with my ci mui. Set two alarm clocks in the morning and woke up at 8 am. Dearie Suki and the kids still sleeping soundly. I quietly sneak out from the room and prepare a quick breakfast - bread spread with butter and kaya and ham for them to tag along in the car.

Almost 8.30 am and its time wake them up. Poor Le-Ann and Ee-Thern changed clothes for them and their eyes still closed. Finally they are awaked and both of them got so excited cos we are going 'Kai Kai' today. Both making so much noises at the car porch while waiting for Daddy to fix the child car seat. Again they saw some big aeroplane in the sky and those must be for the Merdeka Parade.

Started our journey at about 9.30 am and met up with sis at the toll. Reached Raub at about 11.30 am and we visited mom's cousin brother house first. Wah, so much durian and we have durian and banana for breakfast. Both mom's cousins have a fruit orchard in Raub, and they are in the agriculture fields. We had our lunch at mom's cousin sis house. After lunch the kids playing around in the house compound and riding the bicycles under the hot sun.

We adults start to enjoy the durian and look around the plants that they planted in every corner of the house. Life is quite relaxing in a small town like this. No pressure, no stress, no traffic jam, no entertainment, and it is surrounded by orchards. But I don't think so I can survive here. It is just too boring for me. Dearie Suki was telling me, maybe when we retire we can get a piece of land here and stay here for the rest of our life. Ohhh, I tell him no THANK YOU!

Mom's cousins gave us so much fruits. Luckily today we are driving Dearie Suki 4WD if not I don't think so all of it can fit into my sis car. Dearie Suki call is full with fruits. We have durian, cempedak, bananas, dragon fruits, sugar cane, guavas, chilli padi, rambutan, pulasan, manggis, some green vegetables.Wow.... so much of it in Dearie Suki car.

We left Raub at about 4.30pm and while driving half way, Dad called my hp and said we will stop by for tea time in Bentong. Huh... we just had lunch and going to makan again. We have some noodles and sang yue fillets at the restaurant called Yee Fatt. This is my 4th time there and we eat there quite frequently whenever we go to Genting Highlands. Dad ordered, 'Ginger & Spring Onion Sang Yue Fillets', Steamed Sang Yue Fillets With Mee Hoon' and 'Wat Tan Hor'. Total came out is about RM54 for 5 adults and 2 kids. ( Le-Ann & Ee-Thern slept in the car ).

We reached mom's house at almost 6 pm and allocate the fruits. Reach home at about 7 pm and take bath for the kids and didn't have dinner that night cos still full. Both Le-Ann & Ee-Thern was pestering Dearie Suki that they want to go 'Kai Kai' again. Since we got no where to go at night, I suggested to Dearie Suki let's go to Putrajaya to see the fireworks and it is only 15 minutes drives from our house. After 3 hours of sleep in the car, the kids are so energetic and got so excited with the fireworks and we are planning to bring them again to see the fireworks today.

It is a tiring trip but we enjoyed it so much !
