Timeless Moments

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card, a different colour scheme from my card on Monday but using the same techniques,  using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
Changing a colour scheme can give a whole different look to a design. The card I made on Monday which you can find HERE, shows this technique in vintage tones.
I love mixing things up with different colour schemes or stencilled layers and this time around I have incorporated the Weathered Tiles Stencil to add a further layer of interest.
A miniature lolipop stick and doodling around the edge of my card add further interest along with some delicate stamping in the background using my number stamp from the Brush Flower Stamp Set.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Dipsacus

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released A5 Stamp "Teasel" #239, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I opted for fresh greens this time around for my teasel image. I also feel the green gives this piece a really natural organic feel.
I am always looking for different ways to add textural elements to my designs and this time around I opted to stamp onto layers of kitchen towel which I had stitched together.
I included some metal elements to add further interest to the design. I also love the random stitching on this piece which gives a further textural element.
I stamped with Archival Ink onto the tissue to ensure the ink did not bleed.
A few delicate splatters of black work so well for me against the freshness of the green. I also added some black stamping onto the metal piece using my number background from my Brush Flower Stamp set #234.
A few pieces of vintage book pages finish my piece.
Thanks so much for popping by and leaving a comment. Tracy x x

Brush Flower

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released Border Stamp "Brush Flower" #234, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love mixing stamps and stencils with paints and textural elements and this simple cards shows all these elements perfectly. I began by brayering light layers of paint onto my white card, beginning with Lemon, then Tangerine and then onto Magenta, using only the smallest amount of paint.
I have added just touches of stencilling using Stencil 50 along with some background stamping using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.
I brayered the paints lightly across my card and if you brayer whilst the paints are still wet you achieve a seamless blend.
I incorporated a touch of doodling to draw the eye into the focal image.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Live Simply

Today I am showcasing an accordion using my newly released A7 Stamps "Magical House" and "Heart and Home" #261 and #263 combined with my newly released Border Stamp "Brush Flower" #234, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love creating mini accordions and this time around I have used Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers in the background, adding the inks to my non-stick craft sheet and then mopping up the colours with the pieces of card. Repeating the process several times to achieve good depth of colour.
I then coloured a separate piece of white card with Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry and then stamped my little houses onto the coloured card. I also added some background stamping using the number background stamp from my "Brush  Flower" Border Stamp.
Once piece of the accordion was also stamped with the sentiments within the sets along with the little adorable fairy. I also used Gel Pens to add colourful highlights.
A few touches of doodling and white highlights add further detail.
Sentiments have also been stamped onto calico for added texture.
I added black twine to act as closures for my accordion.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your feedback regarding my new release. Tracy x x

Teasel Journal

Today I am showcasing a mixed media journal  using my newly released A5 Stamp "Teasel" #239, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I am so thrilled with the way this one turned out. If you want to watch the demo you can find this one on Hochanda on rewind. My shows were on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th October for AALLandCreate.
My teasel stamp is added to tissue, simple tissues that you blow your nose with lol and the result is better than I could have expected, I love it!
I also added some numbers from the number background stamp on my Brush Flower Border Stamp #234, this stamp is going to be used over and over.
I added a vintage watch face along with some stamped calico, which is fastly becoming a favourite thing of mine, stamping onto calico to give a different texture.
My substrate is Eileen Hull's Journal Die. I also added some random machine stitching to my background for a further texture.
This is the back of my journal, showcasing the Lotza Dotz Stencil.
I also incorporated a rusty nail and some coloured pebble type embellishments.
Thanks for all your support with my new release, I appreciate all your comments and feedback. Tracy x x

Today Is A New Beginning

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released Border Stamp "Brush Flower" #234, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I am so thrilled with this stamp, the detail is fantastic and the background elements really add so much interest to the design.

I am loving using embroidery hoops in my artwork and this smaller size worked perfectly for my card.
This picture shows the detail in the background and also the added layer from the Lotza Dotz Stencil. I used Distress Oxides Fossilized Amber and Hickory Smoke, a new favourite colour palette for me at the moment.
I used a resist technique in the background and then added my inks, applying the inks to a piece of Acetate and then smooshing the ink across the card.
I love adding some touches of hand stitching to my designs, it adds a wonderful textural element.
Of course I had to add some random book pages to the background along with some delicate splatters of paint.
Thanks you so much for stopping by and for all your wonderful feedback regarding my new designs. I cannot wait to see what you all create with them. Tracy x x
