This latest batch of still lifes has been a lot of fun but I miss painting outside. The shorter days makes it a bit of a challenge but it's worth it when I can make it happen.

This time of year I don't have to stay up too late to do a night painting. Nocturnes are a lot of fun to paint. They force you to simplify. I usually mix my colors before going out.
