I was just talking to some friends today about where I order my pictures. I said Walgreens but I usually wait for a good sale or special deal. Have you shopped Walgreens yet this week? There wasn't much that caught my eye until I saw free chocolate....who can pass that up, right?! ;) I also decided to do the Carefree deal since they were free...and I ended up getting overage on those, which made my out of pocket really low this week. I bought 3 panty liners, 2 chocolate bars, 2 packages Goldfish and 2 packs of pencils....my total was $2.34. I had a $1.00 register reward from last week that I was able to use bringing my out of pocket to only $1.34!!! Not too shabby!

{razor} sharp deals!

There are some "razor" sharp deals at Walgreens this week! ;) I was excited to see the EOS register reward deal. I have tried a sample of the shaving cream and just loved it. So I jumped on this deal. When I got to the store I noticed that the shaving creams had razors attached to them....so an even better score! If you do this deal, check to see if you can find any bottles with razors attached too!

I like this new feature on Krazy Coupon Lady of Walgreens Extreme couponing. The idea is to try and keep your out of pocket to $5 or less...depending on the deals. This week they went a little over. I like this idea but I don't always have the right coupons that they highlight for the deals or don't need/want what they are getting. So I am just using it as inspiration!

So this week I tried to keep my out of pocket as low as possible. I did 3 transactions and rolled my register rewards. I bought the Walgreens razor and toothbrushes first, and paid $6.38. I then used the $6 register rewards I got from that transaction to pay for the 2 bottles of shaving cream...so only change for the tax out of pocket that time. Then I used the $4 register rewards from the shaving cream towards the toilet paper and dishwasher tabs. I paid a little over $3 on this transaction....spending just over $10 this week and have a $1 register reward to use next time.

If I wouldn't have broken up the transactions I would have paid about $20 out of pocket and then had all the register rewards to use another trip. I have done this in the past so either way works, just depends on how you want to play the drug store game! I really liked pre-planning my trip this time and rolling the rewards in the same trip. Sometimes there aren't always deals I want each week so this way I have less register rewards to keep track of and worry about expiring!

I haven't taken advantage of any CVS deals lately but when I saw that Pampers were on sale for $10 this week I decided to jump back on the CVS train!

So I bought 2 Pampers Cruisers $10 each, used $2 ECB I received from taking a survey, and 2 coupons...I've seen $1.00, $1.50 and $2.00 (from P&G rebate booklet) out there...and got 5 ECBs back! The diapers came out to be $4.75 per pack after coupons and ECBs! Yeah! I love a good diaper deal.

Walgreens also has their store brand of diapers on sale this week for $4.50 per pack. I haven't tried them in a while so for that price I thought I would give them a shot. Check out Money Saving Mom for other great deals you could snag at Walgreens and CVS this week.

If you are out and about...check out the Almay deal at Walgreens this week. Almay One Coat Mascara is FREE after rebate this month and this week Almay cosmetics are B1G1 FREE. So I bought 2 mascaras at 6.99 each. One rang up free, due to the weekly deal, and the other will be FAR once I submit my receipt. Plus I had 2 $1.00 off coupons....money maker deal!I also picked up 2 packages of the Ricola cough drops that were on sale for .99 cents! I just love these!!!

I had a register reward for $9 that I got from the John Frieda deal 2 weeks ago that I needed to use. So I headed to Walgreens to snag a few more FAR (free after rebate!) deals. Plus I did the Crest Pro-Health mouthwash...$4.49 with $4.49 RR back (less .75 cent coupon) and Visine...$4.99 (less $2 Easy Saver coupon and $3 manufacturer coupon).

If you plan on getting into Walgreens today or tomorrow you might want to print out this $10/$40 coupon good Fri. and Sat. only. I went today with high hopes, since this is an overlap day with the Aug. & Sept. Easy Saver catalogs...but several things didn't pan out they way I'd hoped. So I didn't use the coupon but still made out pretty good. I spent $18.26 but will get back $17.78 after rebates and register rewards...so really only paid .48 cents!!! The John Freida was really a great deal...It was on sale B1G1 50% OFF plus register rewards. The 2 products ring up as bought items, then the 50% off rings up on a separate line so the computer thinks you bought 3 things...producing $9 RR instead of $5!

Remember Proctor & Gamble coupons expire this Thursday...if you are in need of shampoo or body wash, Walgreens has a great deal this week. Buy $10 worth of select products and get $3 RR or buy $20 or more and get $7 RR. I bought 3 Herbal Essence shampoos, 1 Herbal Essence conditioner, and 2 Olay Ribbons body wash for $20...used $10 in coupons and got $7 back in register rewards...making each product .50 cents each!!! Skintimate shave gel was on sale for .99 cents less a .55 cents coupon. Rebates on trash bags and Jane makeup brush. Total for all products pictured less coupons and rebates is $8.43!

This week at Meijer...select brands of Cheerios are on sale 4/$7! I had some great coupons and was able to get 5 boxes for .90 cents each. Can't beat that...especially with a little one who recently discovered her love of Cheerios!!!

Ortega taco shells, seasonings and salsa are on sale 33% off. I combined that deal with a $1.00 off 2 coupon.

Meijer organic refried beans were on sale for .89 cents. No coupon but good still good deal.

I wasn't going to use the Walgreen's $10 off $30 coupon today until I read my friend Jamie's blog. Her post reminded me about the Huggies mail in rebate that was extended until June 15th. I thought the deal was sooooooo good, I ran to Walgreens in between storm fronts. Not too long after I got back the tornado sirens started going off! How crazy am I?!!

I got 3 packages of Huggies and a box of Excedrin for $15.63. Plus I can do the mail in rebate and get $5.00 back....making the total only $10.63. That is about .11 per diaper!!!

Now I can't wait for the Pampers deal at CVS starting Sunday! Another great diaper stockupportunity!!!

Ok, so Walgreens charges you tax on the before coupon price....guess I never really paid attention before. I am used to CVS where your whole total, tax and all keeps coming down with each ECB that you use. Anyways...after all the sales, WG coupons, manufacturer coupons and my leftover RR...I only owed tax! So I got 2 OFF Lamps and a refill pack for $1.17!

Yesterday I made it to Walgreens to pick up some of their weekly sale items. Excedrin was on sale for $1.99 and I had $2 off coupons...so 2 boxes for free! I also picked up a Venus razor. It is rumored that they are honoring the ES rebate from last month. I am going to try it, I'll let you know what happens!


Today I had to get to Target for some formula 'cause we were about out. (I think I have mentioned before that we use the Target brand...similar to Enfamil for about half the price...and think it is just great!) I also picked up a couple bags of the Market Pantry frozen chicken breasts for $5.99 each.


Then it was off to Meijer. I was just going in to pick up some lunch meat and fruit. However they were having their 10 for $10 sale with 11th item free. Check out the picture for an idea of what you can get!
