No files to post

Haven't gotten any new files from people and I just don't have the time to make them anymore. So send me some of yours if you want to share!

DATE ERROR

If you get a DATE ERROR message try this tip that was sent to me by a really nice lady!

We in Europe have trouble opening the cutfiles wich are made by American designers. My husband is an IT professional and he found the problem wich is easy to solve.

In America, all files are saved with the American notation of the date inside the file. For example: 29 july 2008 = 07-29-2008. In Europe the computers register this date as 29-07-2008. So when we try to open a cutfile with the American date in it, it won't open.

To fix that you do the following:

Download Hex editor of: http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm#download

Install this program on you PC and open it.

Open the cut file in this program and at the right side of the screen on the sixth sentence you see the date. If it has for example the date 07-29-2008 change the 29 in whatever month you want from 1-12. Then save it and you can open your file in cricut design studio.

Succes!!!

GREAT NEWS!

I hope that all of you have noticed how much easier it is now to search for the files you want in the blog. Thanks to Karen's help you can now select the cartridge that you are interested in using, and find out what kinds of projects you can cut out with it. We are constantly trying to make the experience easier and easier for you folks. It would be easier if this was a website, but I can't complain about Blogspot, because after all, it is a great site!

Thanks everyone, enjoy!

I know a lot of you have send me files and are still wondering when they are going to be up. I wish there was a faster way to do things, but putting up these files takes time and patience because not always does everything come out perfect. But thanks to the help of some wonderful ladies I have been able to keep up with most of the files sent my way. So please take a couple of minutes and leave a comment to them here on how much you appreciate their hard work.

Thanks a million, to:
Debbie
Sandy

Having problems with files?

If you can't open any of the files because of a Date error, please comment on this post and tell me which of the files you are having trouble opening so that I may fix the problem and post new links. I have already fixed some of the date problems in some of the files, so look at the posts to check.

Instructions

Here is what you have to do to download files from Mediafire.com. If you are still having trouble with it, just try it a few more times before emailing me with any problems. Remember that some files from the US can't be opened in other countries and visa versa. It is a problem that Cricut themselves have to fix.
After you click the link you should see a page that looks like this. Click on the circled red words that read "Click here to start download...". After that a pop-out will come out that will ask you to Open or Save the file. Click save and select the folder you want to save your file in. If your computer doesn't ask you where you want to save the file, then you have probably saved it to the Desktop, either way, that is a setting that has to do with your computer only, not the website.

More detailed instructions:
Just go ahead and click on the link provided, the click on "Click here to start download" then click on Save and then select a folder in your computer for the file to be selected. If you have a hard time finding the saved file then just save it on your desktop. Then go ahead and open the software. click on file then open, and then search for the file you just downloaded. Click on the file and then it should pop out on your mat and there you can cut it or edit it any way you want.

Happy Scrapping!

Important notice

Big change:

I know that many of you have had a hard time with the old link in Rapidshare because of the limit of downloaded files that you could have. So I searched for a new place, and so I have updated many of the links and will continue to update everything to the new website that I found. I am not familiar with everything about this new site, so if you encounter any problems, let me know to see what I can do. I want to make sure that everyone has a happy time downloading.

Please remember to send me some pictures of your projects with any of the files that you download. I would love to post them all here.

Thanks for your support,

Caro :o)

Updates and downloading problems

This message is for everyone!
Downloading files: I know that some of you have been having problem downloading the files, I know what you mean about the error message, because I have had that problem too. It is not my fault nor your fault, I believe it has to do with some people living in Australia while most of us live in the US. If you live in the US you shouldn't have any troubles with what I have posted. I am sorry for the Australian girls, but there is nothing I myself can do about it. I have been meaning to call customer service, but I have been extra busy.

What would you like .cut files of?
