Happy Easter

I know it's been over a week, but Happy Easter! Here are a few pictures we took of Josh on Easter. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the Atonement and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. His truly was the greatest gift we could ever hope to receive.

Here's Josh all dressed up ready to go to church. He played with the eggs before we were able to hide them.

Josh started collecting the plastic eggs, but as soon as he found out that they had Jelly Beans in them he figured it would be more fun to just sit and eat the candy. By the way, it normally isn't a family tradition to hunt eggs with no pants on, but Josh decided to climb into Grandpa and Grandma's fountain and so we had to change his clothes and the only thing we had was a red shirt that someone had left at the house. (If anyone in the family is missing this red shirt it is at Grandma & Grandpa's house)

Spring Break 2008!!!

Well, as last week ended, I have come to the point all must reach in their life when there is only one more spring break to look forward to. For this second-to-last repose from the doldrums of the school year's concluding semester, we decided to go to Park City with our friends Thomas, Allison, and Eric Allen. It was a wonderfully relaxing week and we even got to sneak in a day of skiing! Here are a few "must see" moments from Spring Break 2008.

Josh and Eric got to experience their first Snow Man.

Family fun in the snow!

Josh had a fun time playing and eating chocolate chip cookies with his cousins

Josh is really excited for the day he gets to go skiing with Mommy!

The four shush-boomers out on the slopes of the beautiful Park City Ski Resort. (For clarification, a "shush-boomer" is name we use in our family for a person who looks good on the ski slopes - for an example of a shush-boomer see picture above)

Avoiding Homework

Well, Josh is sleeping, Holly is out running errands and I have three more cases that I'm supposed to read for class tomorrow. Realizing that I still have some time to procrastinate, I have decided to take my first leap into the blogosphere. We'll see how this goes. All I know is that I have some pictures I want to post and I'm hoping somewhere on this computer screen in front of me I will be able to see some kind of link that lets me accomplish my goal. I'm going to bet it is the microscopic icon with what appears to be a picture of some far off mountain panorama.

Ah, there I am. How about that! I have blogged! You might wonder where I am standing in that picture. Well, for the past few months I have been working on finishing our backyard. You see, that's the beauty of living in Phoenix; I can work outside on our backyard in the winter. I have to give credit where credit is due, I had a wonderful group of cheap labor to help bring the rocks in on the last day of work. Insert cheap labor here:

Here are a few pictures of what everything looks like now that we have all the plants in and our patio furniture is all assembled.

That is Josh's club house along the side wall. He loves running across the bridges to play in it.

We have already had two barbecues using our new grill. For those of you who want to come visit, I'd be happy to cook something tasty up for you as well.

FUN WITH NANA AND PAPA

Along with working on our yard, we've had been able to spend some time with family. Last weekend, Holly's parents came down to spend a few days with us. Josh got to spend some quality time with Nanna and Papa while Holly and I got to go on a much needed late Valentine's Day date to Three Tomatoes and a Mozzarella, our favorite Phoenician pizza joint.

VISIT FROM GiGi AND G.G.PA

We also had GiGi and G.G.Pa Colton come to town this past week and got to spend some time with them.

Now for what everyone has been waiting to see... pictures of Josh. As my Grandpa Colton always says, even a papa hippopotamus thinks his babies are beautiful. Since Holly and I sure think we have a cute little boy and since this blog is all about us, I'm going to take up however much space I want with pictures of Josh!

Josh's cousin Jacob let Josh take a ride on his motorcycle and Josh loved it!

Here's Josh with his Diamondback's helmet playing with my old pair lederhosen.

It's March in Arizona and that means Spring Training! Josh loves wearing his D-backs helmet that we got at one of the games last year.
