MORE THAN POTATOES

What is the first thing you think of when I mention Idaho? Well, I'm here to tell you this state has more than just good potatoes.
Well, at least in Boise. It is a super charming city for me.
It might be because it is so artsy.
I'm a sucker for cool street art.

Even the electrical boxes around town are decorated.

Apparently, it is the birthplace of Albertson's Supermarkets.
It is also the home of some super yummy food (featured on the television show Man vs Food).
The Flying Pie Pizzeria might be THE best pizza I have ever had.
The city also hosts a fun farmer's market every Saturday starting in April
where you can buy awesome local food and goods.
Plan a trip to Boise if you haven't already been and walk around the super fun city.

ACCESSORIZE Your GoPro

I really love GoPro photos and maybe got a camera for Christmas. Surprise! I was given a kit with GoPro accessories to test out and I will give my honest opinion. It rocks!
Everything comes in a shockproof case so you can keep track of all 31 pieces. Yeah, I wrote 31 pieces in this accessory kit. It has a helmet mount you can take on your motorcycle rides, a floating grip for underwater use, a chest strap for your adrenaline moments you probably shouldn't tell mom about, a selfie stick, tripod for my favorite kind of selfies, other mounts and straps, and it comes with a free 8GB memory card.

This kit has accessories that are made to fit GoPro cameras (yes, even your Hero 4 silver). The headstrap will stay on while diving, but be cautious. And the suction cups on the mounts were produced and designed to hold your action camera in its place, which means it has super power.

I love companies that back their products and this kit happens to come with a 1 year warranty. So accessory up and let's get out and take some photos!

New York City Sunset Canvas Print

When most Czech people meet me and I tell them I am from America, they tell me they love New York. That's great! I try to explain to them that there are 49 other states, but they mostly dream of visiting NYC. It makes me laugh. So I have a New York City sunset canvas print on my wall now to remind me that the world is so much bigger than we know.
It's a quality print that you can order from Amazon. It's 12 inches (30.5 cm) x 16 inches (40.6 cm) x 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) thick. It is printed on 100% cotton canvas stretched over a real wooden frame.
There is a metal hanging hook already attached to the frame so it is ready to hang right out of the box.
Known the world over, New York City has the most iconic skyline around the globe and features some super amazing architecture. The Empire State Building is joined by the newly completed One World Trade Center to create a stunning cityscape that will make you (even though you might have your own favorite American city) fall in love.

If you decide to buy this, you can save an additional 15% on your final total if you order more than one print. Check #RisingWatersPhoto out.
I received this print free of charge for my honest opinion posted here.

WALLS

But you got a heart so big
It could crush this town
And I can't hold out forever
Even walls fall down
-Tom Petty ~ Walls (Circus)
I am obsessed with cool walls lately.
There are lots around Provo
especially on Center Street.
I might have even recently driven an hour to Ogden
just to take a photo or two by this wall.
And some things are over
Some things go on
And part of me you carry
Part of me is gone.

I needed a night to express myself and I like to paint occasionally. So I pulled out my new Santa Fe Art Supply brush set and my acrylic colors.
This is a quality 15 piece paint brush set that can be used with acrylic, watercolor, oil, gauche, ink, and face paints on any canvas.
The brushes come in a sturdy zipper case (which makes it easy to carry/pack and it also doubles as a brush stand for easy access.
The brushes have sturdy wooden handles and come in a variety of sizes (000-12) and shapes (round, flat, filbert, fan, wide) that look so professional. I am excited to show off my new masterpieces soon. Stay tuned. #SantaFeArtSupplyArtistBrushSet

PHOTO EVENT

My friend, Scott Jarvie, is a really great photographer. Don't believe me? You can check out his stuff by clicking his name in the first sentence.
Anyway, he has a super cool photography challenge event in the works that he is trying to make happen next year in Utah. I was lucky enough to be on a test team to do a trial run of the event to get all of the logistics worked out. It was neat. I sat at a dinner with ABC guys (big sponsors) and we discussed everything. Basically, we had to go around a small area in Utah to certain locations and take 10 different kinds of photographs. We shot things like: architecture, cityscapes, landscapes, flora,  night scenes, etc. I don't want to give too much away. Here are some of the photos (we submitted 30 total) from my group.

It was great to discover hidden gems in each area. Will I be participating in the real event next year? You bet! I'm going to clear my schedule that weekend because I had so much fun. Would you like to see this event come to your city in the future? Follow him on Facebook to get updated on his work and news on this event.
