These are a few of my favorite things...

I look forward to this show every week because I love watching these people change their lives and dig inside themselves to do things they never thought were possible. Plus, it's hard to eat junk when you're watching it!

I used some Christmas money to get this game, and it was so worth it! It comes with this balance board that you can do all these exercises on, and on screen the little balance board cartoon talks to you. It cracks me up sometimes. Josh hasn't done it for awhile, so it asked me the other day, "Have you seen Josh lately? Does he look like he's gained weight to you? Maybe you need to pay more attention to him." It has this little "fit bank" that totals the minutes you work out on it, and when you do 30 minutes it does this little dance for you. I don't know why, but I am so motivated by that! It also has a built-in scale that you can weigh yourself on every time. And the best part is, since using it, I now weigh less than I did when I got pregnant!

And I love this face. Need I say more?

2 Months Old

Shane turned two months last week, and had his two-month appointment yesterday. The doctor said everything looked good, we just can't believe how big he is! Genetics is a funny thing. Here are his stats:

Height: 96th percentile (25 inches)
Weight: 86th percentile (13 lbs 13 oz on Friday the 13th)
Head: 79th percentile (16 inches)

Our long little boy

He gives out smiles these days as if they were going out of style. Melts your heart, no?

He is actually noticing some of his toys now. He especially loves Jangles. Thanks Aunt Pat!

And now that we've started taking him out, he can't get enough. He loves all the stimulation. This was at Outback last night. He completely skipped his nap in between feedings because he was so excited.

Woohoo!

Josh got into medical school! After only having one interview and no offers, we started getting worried that maybe he wouldn't get in this year. After doing a lot of research, he decided to apply to a school in the Caribbean, they interviewed him two weeks ago and called yesterday to tell him he's in! It's called Ross University, and it's on a little island called Dominica. The things we really like about it are that you're only there for a year and a half and then do all your training here in the U.S., the pass rates on the big test you have to take are really good, the facilities and technology there are awesome, and his counselor at BYU recommended it and said it was fully accredited. He still hasn't heard anything either way from about 9 schools, so he still could be accepted at one of those and if he was we would probably take it, but we would be really happy going here and it just feels good to know we will be going somewhere next year. We are a little nervous but mostly excited about the adventure this will be! And, let's face it, after looking at this for the past few months....

This looks pretty good....!
