Crafter's Companion

I'm excited to say that I am a COLORING AMBASSADOR for Crafter's Companion.

I've been playing around with some of the Colorista markers and marker pads.  These markers color great on glitter, you can even blend with them.  Below are a few things that I have colored.

This is from the Inspiring Sentiments 6x6 glitter marker pad that I got from Michaels.

This is from the 12x12 Eastern Promise marker pad.

This is from the A4 Eastern Promise marker pad.

Keep an eye out for more coloring from me for Crafter's Companion........

Thanks A Bunch

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today on this wonderful Friday with a little Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today.

I used a stamp from the Popcorn Bear Collection called "Thanks A Bunch" stamp set. Check out the great selection of Popcorn the Bear stamps, you will want them all.

Here is my finished card:

I stamped my image onto Premium white CS and colored it in using my wonderful Spectrum Noir markers. I used TN4, TN3, TN2, TN1, DG3, DG2, DG1, PP3, BP1, BP2, OR1, CT3, CT1, GB1 to color my image.  I made a criss cross card today.  I took a 12x12 piece of white card stock and cut it in half so I have 2 6x12 pieces.  I then scored each in half to create 2 6x6 cards.  I took and cut each one on a diagonal to create the criss cross.  I attached both together to create the card.  I added some DP and a die cut for my finished image.  For my insert, I cut a piece of pink CS to 5 1/2x 5 1/2 and then added a piece of white CS cut to 5 x 5 and stamped my sentiment on the top of the white CS.  I added a piece of folded pink CS for my tab between the pink layer and my white layer.  Insert into your finished card.  This is such a simple, but great card to make.  Give it a try......

Toread's Just For You

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!  I am here today on this fabulous Friday, to show you some more inspiration using the new "Toreads" stamps.  I used "Comge" and a sentiment "Just For You".

I made a pocket card today.  Directions below.  I stamped my image onto Premium White Card Stock  and colored it in using my Spectrum Noir markers.  The colors I used were: GT3, GT2, GT1, FS9, FS6, FS4, GB`0, GB7, IG1, IG2. I fussy cut my colored image so I could pop her up on my card front.

And a closer look at my colored image:

Here is what the inside looks like:

To make this pocket card, you will need a piece of card stock 6 x 12.  You will score at 3 1/2 and again at 7 1/2.  You will fold on the score lines and fold both in.  Next, you need to cut the back flap at an angle so you can form a pocket.  Next, place some 1/4" Super Strong Double-Sided Permanent Adhesive Tape along the bottom of the back flap and along the short side.  This will create the pocket.  I used a border punch on the front flap and also took some teal card stock and punched it as well so I could layer it on top of the first punched border.  I added some sheer white dotted ribbon around the teal punched CS and also a bow.

Wishing you Sacks full of Joy

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today to give you a bit of inspiration. For my creation today, I made a flap card.  I am using an image from "Mulberry Wood EZMount Stamp Set - Dreams of Santa".  The whole Mulberry Wood collection is so cute, so be sure to check them out HERE.

I stamped my image onto premium white card stock and colored it using the Spectrum Noir Markers. These are some really great markers and I am using them all the time.  I used one of my dies and cut out my colored image and for the mat behind it. I added a bit of sparkle using my stickles.  I added a few snowflakes with pearls in the centers.

The main directions can be found HERE.  If you know me by now, I modified the directions to make a slightly larger card. Closed size is 4 1/4 x 6.

To make a flap card, you will need a piece of card stock 6 x 11 1/2.  Score this piece of card stock at 3 and again at 7 1/4.

Fold these score lines.  The smaller scored piece will be the front of the card.  Decorate as you please.  I added a small piece of velcro to hold my card closed, but this isn't needed.

Here is a picture of the first flap opened:

And finally all the way opened. So much room to add embellishments.

After I created my card, my mind went back to when I was watching the Ultimate  Advanced Techniques DVD.  I really wanted to try to make a hinged box that Sara shows on the DVD.  It uses the Boxer that attaches to the Ultimate Crafter's Companion tool. All the directions to create this type of box and others are on the DVD.

Here are a few pictures of my box:

And finally one that shows how it opens:
