Dwight was a rookie during the King's Stanley Cup run and he contributed right away. Dwight for some reason hasn't had many good looking autograph cards. So for the time being I had to settle for just having his autograph in the collection just not one that I think looks good. Hopefully some company will come out with another one I can get my hands on but until then this will have to do. At just $5 I can't overly complain as it is what it is. Either way it is nice to punch a hole in the ole King notch belt.

Card of the Day - 2011-12 Panini : Dwight King Autograph
The King of Kings has come home. Or to be more specific Dwight King has joined my collection.
Dwight was a rookie during the King's Stanley Cup run and he contributed right away. Dwight for some reason hasn't had many good looking autograph cards. So for the time being I had to settle for just having his autograph in the collection just not one that I think looks good. Hopefully some company will come out with another one I can get my hands on but until then this will have to do. At just $5 I can't overly complain as it is what it is. Card of the Day - 2011-12 Panini : Kyle Clifford Autograph
Switching sports today as I acquired yet another King autograph card. This time Kyle Clifford has joined my collection.
Kyle has been somewhat elusive in my pursuit of getting an autograph card as I don't want to spend a lot but still want a copy in my collection. Finally found an auction that had a low starting bid and didn't have a reserve. The shipping was high at $3 for a single card so yet again I was cautious in what my bid would be but thankfully there was only one other bid and my bid raised the end price to a nice round total of $1.50. So for $4.50 I was able to add Kyle to my King collection which is now getting harder to complete as the popular players have all been acquired mostly and now I have to find those fringe and semi star players. A long project that will be fulfilling when done.

Card of the Day - 2011-12 Panini : Jordan Nolan Rookie Treasures Game Used Memorabilia Autograph ( 331 / 499 )
Another autograph card from the Stanley Cup Champion Kings arrived at my door today and this one is of Jordan Nolan and I was able to get real thick card for a real small price.
I have been missing out on Jordan's cards left and right and that was with me bidding at a reasonable but still restrained amount. Just had to get lucky I guess when the right auction came along and this one happened to be it. I put my bid in at my customary amount and shockingly only one other person put a bid in and that brought the final amount to high price of only $1.04. With shipping it was a little over $3. Now that is a steal and a bargain any day. Glad to finally get the elusive Jordan into my collection. Nice clean and crisp autograph.

Card of the Day - 2011-12 Panini Contenders : Slava Voynov Calder Contenders Autograph ( 402 / 800 )
Back to the autographs and back to a Los Angeles King card.
Once of these days I need to really invest in one copy of a Hockey Beckett as I am starting to amass a fair number of King cards which I hope will reach at least 30 plus. That said I am bidding on auctions by gut and not by knowledge but so far I think I have been doing a decent job on getting my money's worth on auctions. Saw this copy of Slava's autograph card and had my mental bid wall in place so I didn't over spend. The seller changed the auction to a buy it now or best offer so I sent in an offer of $7 as that seems to be my lucky number and he accepted. Card came in and looks great. One thing I have noticed on hockey players autographs, a lot of them look nothing like their names. You tell me where you see a "S' in the first part or a "V" in the second part. Maybe I am blind. Either way I'm happy to have it and the beat goes on til the next one I can get my hands on.
