A Recap of Sorts

So, I didn't blog about A LOT of things that happened last year. I realize it's Feb 2011; but better late than never! Enjoy!

Colby LOVES Lightning McQueen or as he calls him "Shake it Car" We decided to theme his party around it. The kids made their own cars out of boxes. It was a big hit!

We love all of our time spent at the cabin. Here are a few highlights:

Doug and I are hoping to instill a LOVE for soccer in our kids. We hope they grow to enjoy it as much as we do.

Doug and I went to Zion's with the Chase's and did Birch Hollow. (Katie had her kids in Zion's doing other hikes while we did Birch Hollow) We were all planning on doing the Subway the next day, but the weather didn't cooperate.

Here are some highlights from our trips to St. George.

We had season passes to Lagoon this year and it was a lot of fun.

We added two to our family last year. Hailey named her kitty Peaches and Colby named his Thomas. They're wonderful kittens.

Doug and I ran "Hood to Coast" in August 2010. It is an amazingly beautiful 197 mile relay race from Mt. Hood to the Oregon Coast. Our van consisted of all family. It was a great trip.

Some Halloween Highlights:

A few Christmas pics:

I will try to be better in 2011. No guarantees. :)

My Mom

My mom died two years ago today. In some ways, I can't believe it's been two years and in others it seems like so much longer. I miss her everyday. I'm sad of all the things she is missing, especially with Hailey and Colby. Till we meet again Mom. I love you.

Hailey's 6th Birthday

Hailey turned 6 in April. I'm late blogging on EVERYTHING!! Sorry. I can't believe she's already six. They have been six wonderful years! She is such a sweet heart. She is much fun and so smart. I love listening to her ideas. She's got some spunk to her too. I'm so grateful to be her mother. We're so happy to have her in our family. This year she wanted to go to Boondock's to celebrate.

2009 Recap Part 1

Here are a few pictures to re cap 2009. It's a work in progress, I'll get the rest of the months done soon, so keep checking back. 2009 was a very eventful year for us. We moved in with my dad, built our house, my nephew finished his chemo treatments, my dad got married and with that union I gained six great new siblings!! I love Deanna too; we get along so well. It was a wonderful year. Unfortunately our computer hard drive crashed, taking with it many wonderful pictures. I don't have many pictures from Jan-July of last year. Take my advice and back up your computer A LOT. I backed ours up the beginning of January and then with moving and everything, didn't get to it again, and then it was too late. I was really bummed out about the whole thing and took a "blog-cation" from April to December of last year. Oops. 2010 will be much better.

My dad got married! :)

Colby turned 3 in July

Cabin Fun

We went to Star Valley to see my mom's parents for the 4th of July

My dad got engaged May 9, 2009

Disneyland 2009

We took the kids to Disneyland for the first time in December. It was so much fun. The kids loved it. The weather wasn't prime but we still were able to get a lot of rides in. Hailey met all of her favorite princesses and Colby loved seeing "Shake-it-Car" (Lightning McQueen). We made the mistake of taking Colby and Hailey on the Mad Hatter ride as their 2nd ride in the park. It totally scared them both. Doug and I had no idea, having not been to Disneyland in over ten years! It was our Christmas to the kids and in Hailey's words "the best present ever."
