A little something to brighten up the day!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Monday!  I did some neon water marbling this weekend and they turned out pretty cool.  I wasn't ready to ditch it just yet as yesterday and today we have some nice  sunny weather so I did what I always do and stamped over it LOL!

I hauled out some of my new China Glaze Electric Nights--Daisy Know My Name, Glow With The Flow, Home Sweet House Music & Treble Maker.  Naturally when I did this it was rainy and cold but here's a pic of the water marble before I stamped over it.
I've haven't water marbled in a long time as I've been doing dry marbles lately but I thought I'd give this a go
Indoor shot naturally as Saturday it was cold and rainy
Both yesterday and today though it's nice and sunny.  I went out to snap a few pics without looking crazy as neighbors were out and here's what I did over it
I used one of my new Born Pretty Store plates BP-L010.  I love everything ab out this plate!!!!  It's all tribal images!

My index and pinkie are from MoYou Explorer 23 I barely got them on there LOL.  I matted it then for my African Tribal look.  I really like it!

What do you think?  Do you like it better before or after the stamping?

Hope you are all having a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Pink & Purple Tribal----two for the price of one!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Friday!  The flash challenge in the Advanced Nail Stamping group was pink & purple tribal.  I'm not going to lie I was the one who picked the challenge!  I love tribal!  I could wear it every single day!

I did a couple of tribal mani's using the pink & purple colors.  First up is the pink and purple gradient and Marianne's N13 plate.  I love this plate!
I used some neons for this and my camera just can't not do neons AND there was no sun out.  China Glaze Glow With The Flow, Plur-ple and OPI Push & Pur-pull for this gradient
Let's hope the kitchen floor is clean since it's the background!
This Marianne's plate has a lot of ancient tribal on it which I just love

Next up I wanted to do a Aztec Galaxy mani because I love them and have seen them around for a long time and just never did one!

This time I used a lot of images from my Mash 64 plate which I just don't use because  the Mash plates are too small for my nails.  Luckily this time I was able to use them!  I did a base with Kiko 255 which is a gorgeous dark purple with holo glitters in it.  The perfect backdrop for this mani even though it's mostly covered up LOL!
I sponged on some pink and purple cremes and a bit of blue creme as well for my galaxy bases.  Naturally China Glaze Fairy Dust is also involved!
I do love this one.  It's hard to say which image is my favorite but I really think it's the ring finger.
I had to do the decal method with these as stamping straight lines is hard as hell.  When placement is important ALWAYS decal!

When I told my son about Aztec Galaxy he made fun of me saying there is no such thing as Aztec Galaxy.  Naturally I was affronted.  Then he went as far as to say I might as well just call it an Ancient Aliens mani!

What do you think?  Pretty good ANUS challenge this time hey?  The rule was whoever got theirs done first gets to pick the next challenge.  My friend Stephanie aka @furlygirl33 was done first so she's picking the next challenge!  I can't wait to see what she is going to throw at us!

Which one of these pink & purple tribal nails do you like the best?

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Happy Flowers AND extend a mani!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Saturday!  What a super fabulous weekend it looks to be.  I get to spend today doing nuthin'!  Woot!  Actually I'm going to be reading.  I've got a couple of books by Cherise Sinclair's Doms of Dark Haven's series to read and couple books from Alexa Grace's profile series to read.  Plus this is the month of June so the kringle of the month is rhubarb from my bakery.  Having some delish iced coffee, eating rhubarb kringle and reading what's not to love?!

Last week I was over at Emily's hanging and I did a cute little mani over there.  A nice neon gradient with some stamping.  I liked it but the pinky got smeared so the next day I decided to take off a few of the stamped nails and add a Kiko Cupcake to it!  Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!

Here's the mani I wore home from Emily's
I'm not really sure what happened but the pinky got so smeared AND I used Seche which usually never smears
I'd like to say the smear didn't bother me but it really did!  That's why I just had to take it off LOL.  I kept a couple of the stamped images and then put on Kiko Cupcake 650
So much cuteness!
I wish I could tell you the names of the polishes but I can't!  They are from China Glaze neon collection from last year though!
I definitely think skittling and extending a mani is the way to go these days!  That way you get almost everything you own onto your fingertips!

Tomorrow we are celebrating my grandnephew's birthday.  It should be a bunch of fun.  Let's hope I can come up with something cute to wear on my nails!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Ooooh I need sunglasses!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Weekend!! Today I did the annual Movin' For Mental Health 4k walk to help benefit The Racine Friendship Clubhouse.   It's a wonderful organization helping though individuals who struggle daily with mental health diagnoses.

The weather was great!  Nice and sunny and not too hot so I felt I need to haul out the neons!  I did a really love gradient which is one I've done before but always looks stunning.
I took some pics in the car before getting out because the sun was hitting me just right!
I mean how gorgeous is this??!!!
Just 3 neons over white gave me a rainbow effect!
The 3 colors I used were Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze and Solar Flare and then I also used one of my fave neons ever, China Glaze Purple Panic.

I REALLY wanted to stamp over this but my niece Alex told me not too, so today I'm leaving it as is.  Tune in tomorrow to see if I stamp on it or not!

It never gets old!

Hi Everyone!  I'm pulling out the crackle today and not just any crackle--I'm pulling out the neon crackle!  Last summer my sweet friend Marissa sent me the whole collection of WetnWild  Craze neon crackles.  This is what happens when you have over 1000 bottles of nail polish--it takes you a year before you get around to wearing an untried!  I decided to haul these babies out and do something with them.

Neon gradient!
I painted the pink and orange onto a sponge and then dabbed over white for a seamless flow
The pink is Pretty Pink Punk and the orange is Inmate In Love--the names crack me up!
I totally copied my friend Cristina from Clockwise Polish with the stamping and stud idea!  She used the same look for her AIS Sunday Challenge--stamping over saran wrap base

Pretty Pink Punk

Inmate In Love
Right hand looks great too!
And thanks to Rejuvacote the "man" thumb is nice and long--FINALLY!

I stamped using the butterflies from my DRK-A plate
They don't look bad upside down either!

The other day i came across an article where some in the fashion industry where referring to nude polishes as the best choices to wear.  The women they interviewed said nail art, crackle neon and glitter were for 13 year old girls and under.  Not sure who the hell she thinks wears nail polish.  Not too many girls I know 13 and under can afford Chanel, Dior, Essie, OPI, Zoya, Illamasqua and Butter London.  NUDE NAIL POLISH SUCKS!  And all those great quality name brand companies don't make nearly as many nudes as they do fun blues, greens, oranges, yellows, reds and purples!

Nail art is totally in and it's where you want to be!

Car is going into the shop today to find out what's wrong with him--let's all keep our fingers crossed it's nothing too major!

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Nothing says Friday like neon!!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Friday!!!!  I stepped WAY outside my comfort level and ordered some studs from the Born Pretty Store a couple of weeks ago.  It's always great to order from there because shipping is free and you just can't beat that.

I decided to pair some of my new black studs with some neon and I added a sugar spun twist to it.  I've never done the sugar spun method before and i find I quite like it so more of that to come for sure!!

Placing the studs by hand wasn't too bad, although not as straight as they could be
I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy one of the first neons I ever bought for this mani

Even thumbie is styling!
I'm definitely a HUGE fan of this mani!  I wore it yesterday to work and everyone loved it--BUT it's very bright and you sort of get stuck looking at your hands alot while typing LOL!

Not sure what's going on for the weekend.  I've worked a lot of overtime this week and have been pretty tired at the end of the day.  Today I'm working 6am until 4:30pm so most likely I want to sleep alot this weekend!!

Hope everyone has a great day, enjoy the weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Laser Light Show!

He Everyone!  A very stormy Tuesday to you all!  We have had non stop storming since 2 am!  Luckily we haven't lost power.  Losing power in the summer is no fun when you have 10 chinchillas!  It means packing them all up and getting them to somewhere with air conditioning.  A few times we've had to drive down to Illinois to stay with some breeder friends I have down there.

While I don't have any lightening nails to show you I do have a laser light show looking manicure.

I'm not entirely happy with hit.  Some of the darker neons such as the blue and the purple you can't really see
I also think I should have striped diagonally instead of horizontally
I used BM316 for the stamping and it's a bit tough with the reverse images as you want the black to show up darker than it usually does and I had a bit of balding I had to doctor up
It's definitely a fun mani though!  And a nice way to maybe tone down some neon!

Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

The Eye Of The Tiger

Hi Everyone!!!!  Today I'm "tipping" some A$$!!!!!!  Today's theme for Adventures Of Stamping is french tip.  Now since it's stamping and since we all have those pesky french tip images we don't ever use, I took it to mean use one of those ding dang stamping images!  I'm sure other gals will stamp and then do a french tip though.

For mine I decided to do a gradient french tip--YES gradient french tip with neons even!!!!

This is a gradient using The Nail Junkie's Orange and Watermelon.  These are gorgeous neons with micro and I mean micro holographic shimmer!
I think this turned out quite lovely!
I did put down white first to get the maximum effect out of my neons.

Now here's where the magic happened!
BAZINGA!!!!! Check our this hotness!!!!!!!
My first thought was flames but after I got this image on I really thought it looked more like a tiger.  I polled my friends and they agreed!
I used image M62 to create this awesome look!
But of course it was made more awesome by Nail Junkie Orange and Watermelon!!!
I was so excited to get pics taken I didn't even do a great clean up job LOL!  I've got glitter all over!
I really think I "tipped" a$$ with this manni!!!!  How fun is this for summer??!!!

I can't wait to show the gang over at AIS!

Today mom and I are braving the heat--91 blistering degrees--and going to see Man Of Steel.  It's going to be hard not to eat popcorn so I'm going to bring some cheese curds!  I've got to think outside the box these days!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a great day!

And remember tonight is Super Moon!!! Make sure you check the full moon tonight as it's the closest it will be to Earth this year!!!
