- This is the first SpongeBob episode to air amid the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes, which saw the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) go on strike (the WGA begun its strike on May 2, more than a month before this episode premiered, and SAG-AFTRA followed suit on July 13, with the strikes ending on September 27 and November 9, respectively); the labor disputes would heavily affect the television industry going into the fall.
- Debuts of new episodes of SpongeBob and its spin-offs were not affected by the labor disputes (as animated shows, episodes of SpongeBob and SpongeBob-related shows require longer lead times before they premiere compared to live-action scripted shows).
