My late friend Dick Beals was the voice of Speedy and so many other of my favorite characters! I am glad I recorded many of our interviews. He was even the Singing voice for The Little Drummer Boy and we featured him in our 20th Anniversary book! Late in life, Dickie sold one of the original Speedy figures to a friend of mine and we have been talking about taking him to a convention or two! #alkaseltzer #speedyalkaseltzer #advertisingcharacter

Miss my pal Dick Beals!   He also did the singing voice for Aaron in Rankin/Bass' The Little Drummer Boy on "Why can't the Animals smile."

Still Remembering....

My pal DICK BEALS did SHRINKIN' VIOLETTE's voice in THE FUNNY COMPANY (and did many of the other characters too)! He signed her cap bill. I am busy getting all of my CHICAGO KID'S TV audio transferred to CD including 'Monkey On A String,' which was used for the GARFIELD GOOSE & FRIENDS theme song.
