Wilkins Coffee

I got a surprise in the mail today from a great customer and friend Aaron Wilkins! He knew I have an early Henson collection and wanted me to add these to my Wilkins and Wontkins collection. I guess Wilkins coffee went out of business shortly after these cans were produced, in the 1990s. #wilkinsandwontkins #wilkin

I watched a Jim Henson documentary from the mid-1980's, that I picked up from SAM'S CLUB, last night... What a creative genius. A Henson exhibit is coming to the MUSEUM OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY in Chicago in September, that I will have to check out. I especially LOVE his early stuff and want to see all I can from his SAM & FRIENDS TV show and early commercials. Where are the Jim Hensons of today? TV needs them so desperatly!

Early JIM HENSON by IDEAL TOYS

I love the early work of JIM HENSON. One of the RAREST things I have in my collection is this 1965 IDEAL TOYS Kermit the Frog puppet. I have never seen another one. I bought it from my friend Ron Murphy's brother, who had it since 1965. I love that he is wearing the red turtleneck, as he did on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW. He also has the early round feet.
