Sheena Douglass shows on Sunday...sneek peek!

Sunday on Create & Craft Sheena Douglass will again be waving her magic wand and creating some amazing pieces of work right infront of your eyes!

Here is a sneek peek using products that will be showcased!

This is a paper gift bag and tag i used the most gorgeous Luminarte Spritz Shimmering mists on, with one of the stencils for the show! The stamp on the tag is from Sheenas stamp range

POPCORN PALS

Here is another look at one of my samples for the Popcorn Pals launch,by Crafter's Companion, on Create & Craft tv.

Here i made an a4 card, using  centura pearl card joined together, i cut and folded the rosette flowers,having printed onto neenah card, the pink gingham backing paper, roughly drew a couple of different sized hearts from the same paper and cut them out. Then i add the larger circle slider! this fits well onto an a4 piece of card. Twinkled it up a bit with Stickles diamond glitter glue, added some faux stitching around the card,image,embelishments etc, ising the fine end of my black Spectrum Noir pen.

SWALK PICK OF THE WEEK

Here is one of the stamps using the backing paper and sentiment from the cd, i used Spectrum noir pens for the image, which i cut out and added to the card with Collall glue gel for dimension,.

My card has been made using the donkey stamp from one of the collection, i used derewent watercolour pencil for this and think, in gunmetal grey he looks quite lovely!

I am very pleased to be able to announce that .....

I am one of the new

Officially Approved Demonstrators for

Crafters Companion!

After and extensive and amazing weekend with Sara,Leann,Claire, Michelle & Meg and a we had to be assessed!!! Arrrgghhh!! to see if we were good enough, i think we all went grey over night, not that we cant do it but we were doing it in front of Sara, Leann & Claire!!

We were personally invited to go for a weekend at Aston Hotel in Darlington, the food was amazing!! The room was wonderful!! It was a very packed weekend being taught the business end of the company rather than, being on the design team, the craft side of it.

Then on the Monday afternoon we had a workshop with the wonderfully talented

Sheena Douglass! Learning all the ropes with her products too!

Anyway I passed !!

And met some truly wonderful people that i felt like i had known for years and will never look at chocolate cake again with out think of Meg and a big jug of Custard!!

Please keep an eye out for where i will be demonstrating!! Could be near you, im the South East area.

This card is an  a5 card,which i have attached on of the iconic images on the cd, from the Frame card section, which has the image decoupaged in the centre of the frame and sprayed with Iredescent Spray & Sparkle.

Its  time again for new launches of 2011!

On Create & Craft/Ideal World

Here is a sneak peek of on of the designs  of the new unmounted stamps being launched by

Crafters Companion.

I used the little flower to make the backing paper and used a Big & Juicy pad 'Soothing sunset,with a paint brush & water to colour the image,which was stamped with Stazon, as the Big & Juicy pads are water based!

I then used some cut & dry foam pad and blended the edge of the image which had been cutout using a Spellbinders Nestabililities die. I die cut the flowers on my Big shot using Marienne Designables beautiful dies.

SWALK 2-BABY GIRL

Here is a little sample c6 card made using the 'BABY GIRL' SWALK2 set of stamps and the backing paper is from the SWALK2 CD, for the launch of SWALK2 on Create & Craft.

 I stamped lots of images,using Tim Holtz distress inks,water and a paint brush to add colour, then i cut out large to small layers of the images and made up into decoupage by using Collall Glue Gel. The backing paper is ofcourse sprayed with Silver 'Spray and Sparkle' 

SWALK2- WITH SYMPATHY

Here is another sample for the Pick of the week on Create & Craft, which finished today,of

This is using the most touching image 'With Sympathy' . I think less is more with this card, as the image says it all!

I used Tim Holtz Distress inks with a paint brush and water,to apply to the stamped image, which,as watercolour inks,i used stazon to stamp into the Spellbinders scallop oval, then added to the a5 Ivory Centura pearl card.

I cut a ring out of cork, wrapped ribbon all the way around the cork and i tied a loop of ribbon to hang the wreath, then after using promarkers on the individual stamped holly pieces, i sprayed with spray & shine and then stuck to bound ring with collall glue gel.

Not long now for the Launch of Sheena's stamp range,Saturday 2nd October, 8am and 10 am!!

Distressed or what!!- Another peek of Sheena Douglass new collection

I really got my teeth into distressing on this a5 card.

Using stamps from 'Wouldn' it be lovely 2 '

by Sheena Douglass,which will be launching on Saturday morning 2nd October 2010.

I firstly cut a rectangle of watercolour heavy weight paper and spent a good hour,having fun and going with the flow, distressing it withTim Holtz ink,scraping with scissors and smudging with a wet & dry piece of foam. For the backing paper i used the small stamp of horse racing, which i randomly stamped, 2 or 3 times before inking,to give different intensity,using Centurra pearl ivory card.I then ripped across the card to give a rough edge.

Then i stamped the lady, usinf stazon, lots of time and using a brush and water used 'Vintage photo' Distress ink,again and added the colour and shading to each image, then i cut it into decoupage, so she is 4 or 5 layers in depth.

Classic Sheena, i added the shadow on the tag,that i had cutout using a Spellbinder die,first stamping with stazon and quickly rubbing out,to leave only a shadow of words,then i stamped sligtly above again,to give a stronger words.

The flowers i used Spellbinder die and cutout tissue paper,which i then stained with 'vintage photo' ink,scrunched the layers together and added a brad to hold them in place.

Images are the same as on the cd,but they are ready printed and die cut for you, so you just have to build up your decoupage!

SWALK PICK OF THE WEEK-GRANDMA'S

Here is another card from the SWALK collection for the Pick of the Week on Ideal World/Create & Craft.

This is made using the flowers from the cd which can be built up to any depth you like,also the backing paper,which i sprayed with Spray & sparkle, then i used the Grandma sheet of stamps for the image and sentiments.

Crafters Companion-Reddy Decoupage Launch-Create & Craft Crafty Christmas weekend!

Make sure you're watching Create & Craft Tv/Ideal World this weekend, its live right through to monday evening and its Christmas!! Yes its blazing hot and I've been making Christmas Cards.

Crafters Companion will be launching loads this weekend and this is just one of the new products, its from the German company 'Reddy', this card is made using the Paintbox Poppets set of decoupage.

I made a stepper card in the centre and used the popout die cut shapes, adding colour with Copics pens to give dimension, also, now usually i have a peel off free zone on my blog, but in the kits they contain peel offs,some great strips to line your workand add a bit of extra detail.
