We had this booked but unfortunately we decided to postpone on the captains advice, he was... read more happy to take us out on the day booked but wanted us to enjoy ourselves and most people were coming off boat excursions with sea sickness due to the rough sea.
The captain gave us 3 choices, go out, postpone or cancel with a full refund, luckily we were in Tenerife for 2 weeks so rebooked and so glad we did!

Captain was great, informative and helpful - trip included unlimited soft drinks, water, beer and wine.
A tray of sandwiches were provided along with snacks and crisps for the kids and sweets.

We got to see some whales and the chance to have a dip in the water with snorkeling gear provided if you wanted to use it

I would 100% do this trip again and would highly recommend, great boat and company booked via Tenerife First Excusions but sure you could go direct 🙂

We saw a family of Pilot whales after a while of searching and it was a beautiful thing to see.
Also enjoyed a cooling dip in the sea as well with a snorkel to see the fish below followed by a lovely wee picnic on board with more drinks.
We will 100% be booking a sunset boat trip and possibly another whale watching trip as well when we return to Tenerife.

  Amazing, personal tour experience - We went on the tour as family of 4 (2 adults, 2Y & 11Y), Patrick and his wife were very lovely to speak to and kept us fed and watered... read more throughout our 3 hours! The boat takes a max of 7 so this was a really personal tour and only had 2 other people on the boat with us - for the price I felt this was great.

We seen a family of Pilot Whales and were even lucky enough to see some dolphins! Due to the small size of the boat we were able to get really close to see them - it was amazing.

We then went to a small bay where we were able to jump off the boat for a swim, as the children didn’t want to jump in they stayed on the boat with Patrick and fed all the fish, which the loved and were then provided with a picnic lunch and drinks (with lots of variety!)

On the return our 11 year old was able to drive the boat and both children were given sailing certificates - lovely touch and something for them to both remember their trip by!

You are out for approximately 3 hours . After leaving the harbour you head out to see the... read more Pilot Whales . It is not guaranteed that you will see them but we are well into double figures of trips won this boat and have seen them every time.
After this you head back into a small bay where you get sandwiches and snacks and an alcoholic drink . ( wine or lager) . You also get one on the way to the bay. You also get a chance to jump into the sea and have a swim .
You then leave the bay and head back to the harbour.
There are many options for trips but this to me is perfect . There are only about six people on the trip rather than a huge boat with lots of people ( and loads of noise) .
Patrick is a fantastic host .
My wife is currently back out in Tenerife and went out with Patrick again on Wednesday.
I can’t recommend this highly enough and it’s a must do while visiting .

  This was one of the great highlights of our trip in Tenerife! We’ve taken snorkeling tours in Maui, Mexico, Aruba, etc. But this boat trip with Xabe and Patrick was... read more the best we’ve experienced. It was basically a small private boat trip. We sat at the bow and took in the scenery. It was peaceful and serene, and spotted several pods of pilot whales as well as some turtles. Captain Xabe explained some basics around the local sea life and we took it slow. This was a nice change from boat rides where the motors were so loud, we couldn’t have a conversation. This was very leisurely and we enjoyed our family time and conversation. We also had a lovely swim in a beautiful bay with turquoise waters. If you prefer to snorkel, it may be a good idea to bring your own gear. While they had some, they’re a bit older. After our swim, they provided a simple but tasty lunch of sandwiches, chips and soda. They made us feel very special!!! While the boat is not new, it was clean and perfect for a beautiful day on the water. I think our family of three lucked out since it ended up being a private charter as we came during low season. Thank you, Xabe and Patrick for a truly amazing and memorable experience!!!
