Hector Dupeyron (Tenor) (Bordeaux 1861- ? 1911)

He received his education at the Paris Conservatory under Boulanger and Obin. In 1887 he made his stage debut at the theatre of Nîmes as Eleazar in ‘’La Juive’’ of Halévy. He remained active in this house two years, till 1889 and then undertook guest performances in French stages and tours with traveling opera companies which led him among other things in 1889 to Athens. In the 1890-92 seasons he was engaged by the Théâtre de la Monnaie, Brussels and followed this a call from the Grand Opéra, Paris. Here as a beginning role he sang Matho in ‘’Salammbô’’ of Reyer. Till 1895 he was to be heard at the Grand Opéra in ‘’Robert le Diable’’, ‘’Les Huguénots’’ ‘’Lohengrin’’, ‘’Valkyrie‘’, ‘’Sigurd’’, ‘’Samson et Dalila’’, ‘’Otello’’ and in ‘’Tannhäuser’’ (1895). In 1893 he guested at the opera house of Monte Carlo as José in ‘’Carmen’’, in 1903 he appeared there in the premiere of the opera ‘’Le Tasse’’ of Eugène d'Harcourt; in 1897 he sang at the Covent Garden, London. Since 1906 he was  a pedagogue in Paris.
