Early kid Halloween Party

I am a little excited for the start of the Holidays! I let each kid invite a friend over for a early Halloween Party! It was so much fun! Jill and I made the cutest knock-off baby x-rays shirts! I made "mummy dogs" (sadly I forgot to take a picture of these scary guys!), Frankenstein jello cups, jack-o-lantern fruit cups, and vampire caramel apples. We drank vampire delight(cherry 7up), spider venom(root beer) and witches brew(7 up) to wash it all down.

Hopefully I don't look this big in "real" time! I couldn't find a longer maternity shirt at the time and this one hits at a bad spot! But, Jill looks amazing :)

 Look at those cute babies!

My first time making caramel apples. This is some seriously delicious caramel!

Camden waiting and waiting for the boys to get home from school, So we could start the party!!

Some of the dinner spread :) I also made marshmallow - caramel popcorn with candy corn. Super good - super messy!

Frankenstein jello cups. Are they not adorable!?

The kiddos being silly and eating :)

Our little ghost! Just have to glue the ghost face on...

The frightful crew! We had 3 ninja's, a kitty cat, 2 skylanders - trigger happy and chop chop.

This game looks so fun! I didn't realize these kiddos would be so smart!! We're going to have to make harder next time!

Making Spider lolly pops and Mummy Hershey bars.

pin the nose on the jack o lantern.

More crafty time.

Super fun party! We had so much fun!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

I just couldn't wait until October to get to the Pumpkin Patch! When I saw the deal on groupon - I jumped on it! We had a super busy day and I wanted to get the kids school pictures done. I thought everyone could be happy if we took pictures AT the pumpkin patch! I am happy to say that 3 out of 4 kids did awesome! With the exception of The Little Miss - but hey, she isn't in school, so what does she need a picture for?! She did get super happy, crazy at the goats though :)

This is my favorite of Camden. Lately He thinks He should squeeze his eyes shut for pictures. When he opened them it was great!

I'm torn between these two of Keenan. The top one shows his personality in what he thinks "looks cool" and the lower one is just his "Ah that's sweet face" :)

These are my favs of Elek. The top one is a little more serious look for him, but I like it. And the lower one is a simple "dimple smile face" :)

Just for fun I thought I would post the two tries of getting the four together. I love how patient the boys are with the little miss. They just make me smile! I love how the boys watch to see if, maybe it might work! The lower picture - I had the boys wait for the little miss to get out of the maze then we tried to get a surprise picture/smile. Didn't work! haha :)

She started to lighten up here when she was able to play with the cool water pump!

As long as the little miss didn't see the camera - she was all smiles! Stinker! this is her at the top of a slid.

I love her super cute little looks in these pictures! I'm not sure what was going through her head with the goats, but she thought they were very cool! She would squat forward, get eye to eye and scream/laugh at them! It was quite funny! At first I was worried that she would try to kiss the goats!

She was fascinated when the boys fed the goats!

This is the forward/squat thing. So cute! I guess I was too worried about her putting her mouth on the goats mouths that I didn't get any pictures of it!
Anyways, fun time! Can't wait to get back to the Pumpkin Patch!

Disclaimer. Trying it out...

Im going to attempt to bring my blog back to public viewing. We made the choice to take it off public because we were having problems with people getting upset by what our family does. We really are not  trying to upset other people, but here's the deal...
This blog was set up for:
1. long distant family members to see what we are up to.
2. So we can have a record of what we, as a family are doing. Our kids and us love to look through past post and enjoy friendly comments.
Again we are not trying to throw our life in anyone's face. We are not trying to offend anyone. But if we do bother you...let us know. We can take you off our blog reel and feel free to take us off yours.  That said, We love the blogging world! It's so much fun keeping up with everyone and their families. Please know that we love having you all stop by :)

vacation summer 2012

We had our first ever two week long, both husband and wife - all children, out of state family vacation this year! We planed it out, believing it would happen and a year in the works we went to Florida!  Had a great time.
One of my favorite things about Florida is...there is literally a beach no matter where you are :) The kids begged to stop at every stretch of sand along the road. In the twilight it was truly magical!

Can you see the happy little dimples on her cute face?! And that curly little pony tail!

She was alright with waiting in the water, but hated the big waves!

The boys loved waiting in the water! They had so much fun with the water!

Ilona loved the sand! Our only baby to ever like sand! We were so surprised! While the boys swam deep into the water, Ilona would happily play in the sand with sea shells.

Almost every evening we would head to the beach. Beautiful every time.

See...beautiful every time :)

The boys loved looking over the piers, hunting for fish and sea creatures!

I was ale to take amazing pictures! Just wish I could have a family photo like this! I even was able to take a couples pictures on their honey moon...on Honey moon island! hehe:)

Sweet moments

~The family was all in the living room. Camden is sitting on the couch and says, "Mr Stinky pants is climbing all over me and really stinks!" haha:) Ilona aka Mr stinky pants! We all had a good laugh and re named her Missy Stinky Pants!

~Elek is really into basketball. While at target I found a cheap basketball. When I came home the boys were outside playing with their backs to me. I went outside quietly and started bouncing the basketball. 3 very happy boys looked at me. Elek with the biggest, happiest grin jumps up and says, " thanks Mom!!" He is sleeping with the basketball in his room now :)

~Walking into the living room...Ilona is chillin on Elek's lap drinking up her bottle!

~We toured the K.C Temple last week. I would like to say I had four very well behaved children the entire time.... however Ilona has been busy teething her molars. SO Fun! She screamed a lot during.the.whole.tour. The boys were all super tiered from long nights of being at the inlaws packing. But there was a moment. We walked into the celestial room. We were told to not talk and to feel the special spirit in that room. Camden (who ran in long before Shaun and I could navigate through the crowd) Runs to me with a GiGanTic smile - laughing, says "Mom, It's just so Beautiful in here!"
He then wrapped his arms around me. *Melt*

~While spending another long day packing at the inlaws it was late(about 9ish). The kids were done Shaun and I were done. Ilona was past done. She just wanted to be held. Shaun and I were finishing up, Ilona was crying at my feet wanting to be picked up. Elek walked over put his hands out toward Ilona. She look at him then at me and in a moment of tenderness reached up for her brother. Elek picked her up so tenderly put her on his hip and just held her. Ilona stopped fussing and together they waited until we were done. It was so touching. I'm glad that we had the boys so close together. But it is truly amazing to have Ilona while the boys are older. There is such a difference in the way they treat/help her.

~I heard an amazing quote on a christian radio station...It reminded me that God made me and Loves me. "...and thou the trauma was great, He wept with me..." At that moment it was so personal so deep and loving. I wish I could find the whole quote...

~Keenan is finally having a good school moment this year. He is so excited to be taking "more test" to get into the gifted program. He just beams with happiness! Honestly any kid who Wants to take a bunch of tests should get into that program :)

~Ilona is soooo friendly. She will walk up to anyone and reach out to them. She in a simple way makes people feel so needed, validated and happy.

~Ilona has the cutest shoulder shrug. She will come into the room looking very mischievous, get a huge smile and shrug her shoulders. It is adorable!

~We had a crazy kid/mom day today...and it's so wonderful to think of each of my kids in a "sweet moment" from this week. I love their happy faces. I love the excitement that radiates from there twinkling eyes. I love that each one of them have their Daddy's big cheek dimples. And when they are super smily those dimples take over! I love that they truly do care about one another. Each one of the boys adores their sister. They all look out for her and keep her safe. At cub scouts tonight Ilona spotted the fire and without thinking Elek kindly put her in his lap and continued listening until I was able to get her.

                                          Ilona turns 1!

My baby girl is now a 1 year old! After years of boy parties and boy cake themes I finally had a girl party! So the theme was PinK! I made pink tulle puff balls, pink wall flowers and pink cupcakes...oh Ilona was dressed in pink too =)

She's not sure what's going on...but aren't those leggings super sweet!?

Oops she's got it =)

The next day Grandma and Grandpa H stopped by to give Ilona this shopping cart. Both Ilona and Camden had a great time loading it up! I forgot to take pictures of all the cute pink-ness, but there's a wall flower in the background. They turned out so cute!

Well, little Missy, We've loved having you in our family. You have the cutest happy face. Gigantic dimples on both cheeks and your chin, even a cute little dimple by your nose! I absolutely adore your blond tight curls! You win on the most teeth for a one year old in our family. It was fantastic when you teethed all four front teeth at the same time... :(  You love being with the boys. You will squat down by them to check out their toys. Whenever you see a dog - you raise your hand and say "it, it." I don't like the dog jumping on me and will always say "sit!"...I guess I do that a little too much : ) You love, love bananas! No one can eat one around you without you begging for it! You say da da dada all.the.time. Mama is only said out of desperation! But you do add a cute little ay sound at the end ;) We love you so much sweet girl :)

8 is Great

In November Elek was baptised! I should have come back to this post while everything was fresh in my mind... Lets see some random thoughts from the day:
Elek is so old and tall and thin. I swear he grows an inch a day!
He's looking so much like His handsome Dad :)
In the last picture my hair is wayyyy to short!
The family was is some seriously cute matchy outfits :)
Elek asked his Aunts old room mate to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. He just loves this sweet gal!
The font was freezing and Elek practically jumped out after going under-haha :)
We have great friends that came to Elek's baptism!
We met up with eleks grandparents/cousins for dinner and fun.
