Which do you prefer most: a printed book or an Ereader?

A printed book, though I do love the ease of an ereader.

Book Blogger Hop (Feb. 15th - 21st)

Here's this week's question:

What upcoming book in 2013 are you most looking forward to reading?

Recently widowed Annalisa Werner has the feeling her husband was murdered but can't prove it. Alone with her young daughter in 1881 Michigan, she has six months left to finish raising the money needed to pay back the land contract her husband purchased, and the land is difficult to toil by herself. She needs a husband. With unmarried men scarce, her father sends a letter to his brother in the Old Country, asking him to find Annalisa a groom.

For nobleman Carl von Reichert, the blade of the guillotine is his fate. He's been accused and convicted of a serious crime he didn't commit, and his only escape is to flee to a small German community in Michigan where he'll be safe. He secures a job on Annalisa's farm but bumbles through learning about farming and manual labor.

Annalisa senses that Karl is harboring a secret about his past, yet she finds herself drawn to him anyway. He's gentle, kind, and romantic--unlike any of the men she's ever known. He begins to restore her faith in the ability to love--but her true groom is still on his way. And time is running out on them all.

Book Blogger Hop (August 5-8)

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. Every week there is a different prompt. This week's prompt is...

"What's the one ARC you'd love to get your hands on right now?"

Here's my answer:

I would love to get my hands on "Caroline Bingley" by Jennifer Becton. I loved reading "Charlotte Collins" and how she made me see Charlotte in a whole new way. I can't wait to see what she will do with Caroline, a woman who is so despised!

Book Blogger Hop (July 29 - August 1)

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. Every week there is a different prompt. This week's prompt is...

“Highlight one book you have received this week (for review, from the library, purchased at the store, etc.) that you can’t wait to dig into!”

Here's mine:

A Memory Between Us (Wings of Glory, #2)
I took out 'A Memory Between Us' by Sarah Sundin from the library and hope to start reading it tonight. This is the second book in the 'Wings of Glory' series. I really enjoyed reading the first 'A Distant Melody' and hope this book is just as good!

Synopsis (from Goodreads.com):

Can they overcome the past to find a brighter future together?

Major Jack Novak has never failed to meet a challenge--until he meets army nurse Lieutenant Ruth Doherty. When Jack lands in the army hospital after a plane crash, he makes winning Ruth's heart a top-priority mission. But he has his work cut out for him. Not only is Ruth focused on her work in order to support her orphaned siblings back home, she also is determined not to give her heart to any man.
As the danger and tension of World War II rise to a fever pitch, Jack and Ruth will need each other more than ever. Can Jack break down her defenses? Or are they destined to go their separate ways?
From the English countryside to the perilous skies over France, A Memory Between Us takes you on a journey through love, forgiveness, and sacrifice.
