Well it's Friday and it couldn't come any sooner. This weekend we're finally getting the house painted boring beige, sorry, er, "Likable Sand" or the color of my underfloof with the color of my belly as the trim. It's gonna be lovely really. Although I am not very pleased about the idea of workmen crawling all around the house. Sigh. I think I take Mousey in the closet and just come out for snacks. 

What about you? Mom is pretty excited to watch the Royal Wedding. I look forward to the cuddle time. Hope your weekend is filled with bright skies and sun patches.

Oops, she did it again!

That's right, day two of her easy breezy lifestyle. Who cares about the kitty back at home? Luckily Dad (Of course I was right in liking him best all these years). Mom did not report home till 7:15, again! 

Where was she you might ask? Out drinking it up with the Katnip Lounge Mom. At least this time she brought enough cat toys for all 13 of them. I even convinced Her Cheapness to throw in a sack of catnip flavored Temptations (I know right! Of course she forgot to get me own sack, another poor mark on her upcoming purrformance review).

So in her margarita induced haze this is the best Floofy Friday she can muster. 

This weekend we will be celebrating the Super Bowl in the standard way, record it and fast forward through the game to watch the fun commercials while my parents eat my weight in guacamole. We also watch the half time show and anytime it looks like something exciting happened. The rest of the time we watch the Puppy Bowl. Good times.

Isn't she pretty? I call her Isabella Mousington. I haven't even whapped her under the couch yet. Mom has started calling me Lady Mousington which I like better than some of the other names she comes up with for me. Of course Isabella in no way takes Mousey's place. No one could ever take Mousey's place. 

So what does everyone have planned for the weekend? I'm hoping for porch time, but Mom mentioned something about taking a Day Trip with Dad. I wonder what that means? She's a trip everyday. We hope you have a great weekend doing whatever you have planned.

Mom claims she is getting to her busy season at work. Meh. I've seen her "work at home" and she just talks on the phone and types stuff. Yawn. It's like they pay her or something.

What are you up to this weekend? I will be snoopervising more of the holiday decorating around Casa De Housecat. The mantle featured on Wednesday is remarkably undisturbed. Yes, I am a good kitty. The mantle is too narrow for me to get up there, but I have not even whapped the two stockings.

Good news is Mom said BOTH of the Christmas stockings were for me! So I felt it bad form to whap, what with Sandy Claws potentially around every corner. Mom is hoping to post about a fun holiday event next week and we are hoping everyone can join us.

 Happy Hanukkah Friends!

So what are you up to this weekend? Mom and Dad will be heading over to California for a day to visit Dad's family. I am not pleased with this turn of events. Who'll be here to cater to my every whim? Who'll feed me? Who'll refresh my water? Wait this is sounding like a very bad idea!

I guess if things get dicey I can try to find the Katnip Lounge. I'm sure I could slip right in for a day and no one would even question me. Yeah that's it. I'll need my parents to make it up to me big time when they get back! 

I've heard rumors that the house might be decked out for Sandy Claws sometime this weekend too. I guess I better start to be less naughty... nah, there's still time. Right? Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Fin? Are you playing with the camera cord?

 What? No. I don't know what you're talking about.

Mom is super excited. A whole bunch of her relatives are coming to town for a reunion starting this Saturday till next Saturday. She says her bloggin will be spotty, so I convinced her to repost some of our more favorite entries. Do you have a favorite you'd like to see again?

I will be ready to hide inspect the closet if anyone even looks at me with fur-pulling in their eyes. Aunt Jenny will be staying here at the house with us, and I admit I like her a lot. She makes Mom happy and she sounds just like Mom. She's a quality petter too. I'm looking forward to all the extra lovin... from a safe distance.

  Well it's Halloween weekend! Yeah! I was very disturbed to learn that Mom almost purchased a set of purple fairy wings for my to try on. Yikes! Luckily Her Cheapness won out and I was spared the humiliation. I already have my killer fangs for a vampire kitty.

We are all pretty excited around here for the weekend. Dad loves himself some Halloween and although the whole house isn't decked there are always pockets for boo-time. Dad will carve his legendary Cyclops Pumpkin (one eyed and the talk of the hood). Mom makes Worms in Blood Sauce (spaghetti).

Dad will wear his traditional costume of "Middle-Aged Dude Who's Way Too Excited to be Carving a Squash and Opening the Door for Candy Grubbers." Mom will wear her traditional costume "Middle-Aged Lady With No Makeup in Her Nightie Who Lurks in the Dark Living Room." I will wear my costume "Darling Cat Who Hides Under the Bed Till the night is over."

Yep good times. Hopefully I will be porched and sun puddled too! What are you all up to this weekend? Lots of fun I hope!

Floofy Friday

Well friends I was caught in the act.

I'm so embarrassed. I made a kitten's mistake.

This morning I decided I needed a little "Me" time with my beloved. My Mousey. I've never spoken of Mousey on the blog, but those of you who've read my book (available on Amazon and pawtographed here) know all about my precious, and how protective I am of our special relationship. I'm no longer ashamed of our love, and I hope you won't judge.

Mousey has been my special someone for so many years now, I hardly remember the dark times when we weren't together. He's the only one for me, with his faux fur, beaded black eyes and those pink felt ears. I like to keep our relationship private and away from the prying Pawparrazzi so I only spend time with Mousey when I'm sure we will not be seen. 

I thought Mom was busy doing something in the bedroom but she was actually in the den. I was carrying Mousey in my mouth, and I couldn't help singing out my song of love. I rounded the corner with such joy in my heart and then I saw her, Mom. 

She saw us. 

I immediately dropped Mousey and strolled away, praying Mom was oblivious. The one time she wasn't. In all our years together this is only second the time Mousey and I have ever been seen together. 

Sure they've heard my song of love. I can't hold that back. Although I only sing when I think they're asleep or the TV is on real loud. As soon as the sound goes down on the TV (to try to hear me) I stop. Now this.

Sigh

Mom already sings this little song when she sees there's been "Mousey Movement"... "Somebody played with her Mouse, She moved it all around the house, She carried it in her little mouth" (She's no poet, Cod bless her)

I'll have to distract her and cut down on my Mouse time till she forgets what she saw. I have my work cut out for me this weekend. What are you all up to? I hope you have a great one friends.

What the Blog?

What is happening with Blogger tonight? We click on our friends links and......... wait....... and wait. Mommy is too "tired" to visit everyone as a result. She claims it has something to do with my politely requesting my morning Feast at 3:30am this morning.

Sure it was a smidge early, but I was concerned she might have listened to that quack/doctor, so I felt my cries needed to drowned out any of those thoughts in her head.

It's a big week for me too, I was named Princess of the Week for my Catster Group (came with this cool chair!), I'll be having my first post at Floof and Fur on Friday, and Mommy has been in such a posting frenzy we will be hitting 100 posts on Saturday.

Looky!

Today I was hanging out in the living room (a complete misnomer as no one lives there usually) when I saw a package on the table. I took a little look and then a big giant sniff. Hmm, smells good - like cat perhaps?

My loud pawing and investigating finally alerted Mommy that I had found the package. Turns out my prize for winning the Frisky Fall contest had arrived well I was away. I demanded she open it right away.

A Kitten Calendar. A Cat Sack (with a string handle!), I might be a bit too big to get in it but you know I'm gonna try. What's in that other little sack? I better take a closer look.

Catnip Toys! Snergle... rubbing my face with package, big deep sniffs... snergle. Crack it open Mommy!! I love that little red fella, Little Nipper I call him. Oh what's that... more stuff! Jingle bell rolly balls... I think I need to rest. I'll be rolling those around at 2am, when I'm nipped up and well rested.

Look my floofiness has not gone unnoticed. I've been asked to join the Floof and Fur group.

Mommy has to figure out how to get my floofiness over there, but honestly I'm touched. It's so nice to be accepted and respected for all this floof. Until recently you'd think all this floof was a burden - to Mommy. I don't want to disappoint my public, so here is my Floofy Friday shot. Maybe this is why Mommy is calling me Lady Floofington lately.

Oh and I've been so revved up this week I've been neglectful of properly thanking my new friends at Ernie's Voice who left me this lovely award.

It came with some rules which you know I am bad about following, I'm not bad - I'm just written that way. Here are the rules:
