Is dedicated to Sparkle the Designer Cat who has joined Meowza and so many other beloved kitties over the rainbow bridge.

Sparkle was extra special cause she’s pedigreed Somali, blogged, award-winning too, and gave sage advice, even wrote two books which Nikita reviewed. She was all-around awesome.

First book was Dear Sparkle: Advice from One Cat to Another (No Humans!).

And the second book was DEAR SPARKLE: Cat-To-Cat Advice. After reading the reviews, I am going to insist Mog get the books. She is so slow they aren’t in her cat book library.

Sparkle gave her goodbye here, a thank you rather than goodbye. So sad, made Mog all teary.

But didn’t leave without giving her human a gift. A very lovely gift indeed if I say so myself and I do.

Brian wrote a lovely tribute to Sparkle. Most special is what she did to help other kitties find homes.

Animal Shelter Volunteer also paid tribute to her tireless efforts on behalf of all kitties in need of rescue.

Rascal and Rocco paid tribute to Sparkle‘s inspiration to the cat blogosphere and have a huge, 76 so far, list of tributes to Sparkle. She was truly loved.

Samantha paid tribute to her friend with a poem.

The pets at Jan’s Funny Farm also paid tribute to Sparkle, musing on whether there is life after death for animals. There is. They have been seen in NDE’s too.

Ms Stella O’Houligan and family mourn the passing of a titan, they too had the privilege of meeting Sparkle’s human.

Truffle and Brulee remember Sparkle too, noting that Sparkle had been their Secret Paw and always visited their blog unlike me. I don’t even have my own icon or anything so Mog does the visiting when she has the time. Or interest, something got lost when Meowza crossed.

Robin Mudge paid tribute to Sparkle and discusses coping with the loss of a pet, a needed read.

Katie and Waffles, my past Secret Paws, also discuss death and dying in their tribute to Sparkle.
