Bat-I-maan Strike Again

Wondering how much a character can influence your child.

Look at the detail, not his actual drawing (mama Imaan did the drawing) but his imagination. For example, just after mama finish draw the batman character, Imaan still unsatisfied and wanted to have batman light (*look at the background).

It was last year raya, at one of atuk neighbor open house. It was huge and fun almost like a wedding. As usually the invitation was for atuk and nenek, but mama and abah (*mama yg nak sgt :P) tag along. So abah manage to take picture of you with some special guest. heh. Guest who!

So the guest was Wardina and her cute daughter. She was also being sporting to take picture with you also. So nice try Imaan :)

"Kiasu" - Cube lah!

Kiasu = word that literally means 'fear of losing'.

e.g: Abah send your pic to SONY competition and place the link in the blogspot in hop the other would click on the link and giving more chances for abah to submit picture to the competition.



e.g: After winning third place on last year so called Amazing + Explore Race competition. Abah n the team re-enter again this year which held in PD but this time we only take the first place only.

Dear Imaan,

Apa nak cerita ye.. well, macam tu lah when it has been sometime not writing. Too much has happened. But if Mama tak abadikan kat sini, nanti Imaan dah besar mesti banyak yang Mama dah lupa. It's always little things in life that makes it worth living. But little things ni kita tend to forget especially when we're unhappy. Each moment I get to spend with you now is the sweet little things I want to remember when you're all grown and ready to start your own life.

Your development so far

Imaan sekarang dah banyak akal. Also dah semakin petah. Even Aunty Ayien exclaimed "Eh, dah banyak dah dia cakap!" when she came over to discuss her wedding card. But still pelat2 lagi-- you tend to always speak the end of each word only, for example, your name, Ilsa Imaan would be "Cha Man" (You still have problem pronouncing the letter S too! So "Sleep" jadi "Leep"!). Your sentence pun a bit berterabur but like most mothers, I can still understand them unlike Abah.

Kalau dalam car Imaan akan selalu kata "Imaan nak duduk Mama" <-- Imaan nak duduk atas pangku Mama. Tapi Imaan masih kuat merajuk (a habit you developed ever since I left you for Vienna). Pantang tegur sikit, "Tak Nak Mama!" (nanti besar Mama hope Imaan cakap "Tak Nak Merokok" dengan the same passion ok! ^_^)

Abah, Aunt Maya, Uncle Armin, your future Aunt and Tuk Yahya

By the way, your ever so famous celebrity Aunt, Maya Karin came over during Hari raya Qurban together with her brother Uncle Armin. Aunt Irina didn't stay long after wedding Aunt Maya the other day and had already gone back to London. Their mother, your Tuk Zan couldn't make it. Tuk Yahya pula datang without Tuk Bonny, just with his three boys. But since our apartment is small, 7 guests is already quite a full house.

Mama, you & your Aunt Maya. You banged your head at the nursery.. tsk. tsk.

In Aunty Maya's opinion, kena strict with kids and not let them whine/cry for no reason. Mama doa2 lah Imaan akan lebih lembut hati and less merajuk! Nenek pesan suruh baca "Ya Latiff" berulang2 dan hembus kat ubun2 Imaan.. Tapi your cousin Afif kalau Mak Long buat macam tu masa dia mengamuk, dia dah pandai kata "Tak Nak Ya Latiff!" (Nampaknya kempen "Tak Nak!" amat berjaya so far :/)

Well, Mama nak sambung kerja. Till later sayang (hopefully not 2009!)

Imaan got some story to tell ya!

This was in mid of 2008, where we went for our vacation to Gold Cost. Tagging along is Mama's best buddy Dr. Ayien. We get to use the cool Mantra Circle on Cavill Apartment thanks to Abah's Palace Vacation Club membership. Actually, this trip was right before Mama had to leave you a full whole week++ for the first time ever-- Mama had to present a paper at Technical University of Vienna, Austria. So, this vacation trip was to relief our guilty conscience for having to leave you afterwards :)

The funny thing was, since our trip to Australia was just before Mama's trip to Austria, people often got confused where I was headed to last June/July. "You're presenting your paper at Australia?" "No, AusTRIA". And when I got back from our vacation in Australia, they exclaimed, "Oh! Thanks for the cute koala keychain! So how was presenting your paper at AusTRALIA?".. which of course Mama again had to explain, "No. I haven't been to Austria yet to present my paper. I'm going off in a few more days though. Wish me luck." Sigh.


Anyways, the Gold Coast trip marks the beginning of your devotion to Batman-- as well as the day when your first start to believe Batman exists for real! Before this you were really into Spidey, and 'Makiyooooo'<-- your own word for Ultraman. Don't ask me of its origin, I plan to ask you later when you're big enough to explain in clear sentence!

The picture with the background of batman logo on the big screen was at Movie World (dah laa silau!). The second frame is the cropped photo of us (Mama pun tak paham apesal abah buat gambar camtu-- dia kata 'style'.pehh.) with your new founded Hero Batman (kewujudan Robin and Batwoman dikaburi oleh kehebatan Batman pada kaca mata Imaan).. You were so taken by Batman after watching him in live action; defeating the bad guys and riding his Batcar during the parade afterward.

Semenjak itu, Imaan mula synonymous dengan Batman. Or should Mama say, Bat-I-maan? :)

Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadan

Short post je, ingin diucapkan Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadan Al-Mubarak kepada semua blogger(z) yang berpuasa..hehe..

Imaan's bogus birthday!!

Sorry Imaan, not your birthday yet, it's Abg 's Ben10's (a.k.a prevoiusly as Abg Batman) birthday. Abah had to say "Imaan, pegang meja je!" (Waaahhh.. anak Mama menurut arahan!). But, Mama & Abah are happy to see how more 'grown-up' you are each day! You didn't really participate much during your own first birthday last February.. (masih tak faham.. or is it Mama and Abah buat tak cukup 'menarik'? :P) so now it's more obvious to see that you are now more excited about birthdays (like typical budak petots your age).. Abah just cant wait to celebrate your next coming birthday for you!

Even your sensei at shichida commented the other day "Haa..Imaan looks more 'matured' (tua kah? :P)" bila 'magic pointer' Imaan meng'demand' sesuatu. Hmm.. before Mama pun dah lupa, this is so far how Imaan punya development:
..Imaan dah pandai buat muka 'busuk'
..dah pandai jalan macam nenek tua (tangan ke belakang sambil bongkok2 sikit)
.. kalau bosan sorang2, imaan akan tiba2 buat bunyi "Gemm, Gemm Cak!" (read: follow rythm "We will Rock you".. 'gemm gemm' tu a unique sound yg keluar dari hidung Imaan macan orang mendengus!)
... pandai cakap "Nanok.." ('tak nak' yang dah hujungnye bercampur dengan muka 'busuk')
.. pandai cakap "mane.. mane.. mane.. mane.. maneeeeee!" (yes, it comes in the particular set of repeated words with the volume and pitch rising with each word! Imaan bukan cari apa-apa pun, just buat bunyi tu as a past-time! Abah kata dia rasa nak gigit Imaan tiap kali Imaan buat camtu.. hehe)
..at one point of time, Imaan kemaruk 'kiss' orang; habis sampai boy sebaya dia kat OU the other day pun dia nak cium (haiya Imaan, stick to the opposite gender lah, ok! -- tapi tunggu dah kawen hah! jangan jadi ashraf sinclair :P)
.. Yang Imaan dah pandai buat for quite sometime is "Bye bye" orang (start dengan "Daa daaa" sebab diajar oleh Cik Yul ex-bibik ke-2, now dah yang ke-5.. or is it 6? Mama has lost count) siap dengan flying-kiss -- upon request la tapi

.. Imaan's favourite is to sarungkan his crocs shoes -- kalau cakap "Imaan! Wear your shoes!" terkedek-kedek dia cari kasut/selipar merah (kusam dengan 'Jibbitz' Mickey Mouse yang dah hilang sebelah telinga) dia tu..Ye. Imaan sangat suka berjalan-jalan.

..Imaan also dah pandai faham arahan -- if Mama said "Imaan, close the door" -- hmm, tipulah, Mama cakap bahasa mesia je "Imaan tutup pintu" :P, Imaan akan terkedek-kedek gi tutup pintu. Hmmm.. hmmm.. upon knowing this, Abah dah berangan pelbagai benda dia nak suruh Imaan buat! But belum habis pun Abah's fantasy, Imaan yang dah bagi arahan dulu! -- Imaan akan paksa Mama ngan Abah duduk sebelah Imaan sambil tepuk-tepuk lantai sebelah Imaan macam pakcik tua nak ajak borak kat kedai kopi..
.."Imaan, jangan laa luah-luah makanan macam tu! If Imaan don't want to eat, put in the dustbin!" Mama. "Huh?" Imaan. "Imaan! Don't hit your head" Abah. "Huh?" Imaan. "Imaan, jangan laa tutup TV!" Nenek."huh?" Imaan."huh?" will keluar if the sentence given to him is long.. or Imaan nak buat-buat tak faham!
