well here i am and talk about LATE!!!!!
with my tag no 1(yes there are 9 so far...
talk about behind!!)
from the funkiejunkies fab twelve tags of Christmas...
this is where Linda creates a tag for perusal, and inspiration..
there will be twelve in all
and all deets can be found here

if you manage all twelve there some fab prizes
sponsored by Linda's lovely shop

so here is mine...

and Linda's tag no 1 can be found here

i loved the vintage feel of this tag and as many of you will know have a little thing about hearts and wings..
so knew they had to feature...
but my new distress stain..iced spruce had arrived and i was desperate to use it so...
i did!!

i used some of the techniques that Linda used on her tag
using marbled stains..
with metallic stain brushed pewter..love this!!!!

i used the fab new sticky embossing powder and
rock candy loose distress glitter..
two more fab products...

if you stay here long enough..
i may sprinkle you with some!!!!

my winges were die cut,
covered in music script stamped in iced spruce DI
and the heart cut from ranger foil..
coated with glue and seal
and then clear rock candy crackle paint...

the centres of the snowflakes are the new ideaology festive foliage...

i loved making this...
and only 8 to go to catch up!!!!

have a fun and inky day!!!!

dragons dream TIO #123, art for arts sake, dt piece

well it is time for another recipe over at dragons dream tag it on challenge,
the only rules are to follow the recipe and make a tag
using at least one real stamp..
so todays recipe here, is,
art for arts sake.....
 to use: a handmade background,
intersting character(s)
quirky twist
so here is mine:

to create my handmade background,
I used the fab Tim technique ..marbled stains..with a twist of perfect pearls mist
..hopefully you can see the shimmer..
(colours: broken china, picket fence and tumbled glass)
i added some splatter stamping from bitty grunge stamp set..

i then scuffed up the edges and added distress inks..

the quirky twist was the butterflies with bottle bodies...
i love these little bodies and love finding different ways to use them...

I added my interesting character, coloured in distress markers
and added fly from a paperartsy sheet..
i love the fab picket fence marker...gives a real vibrant white...
I added a second set of wings fro added dimension

and finally overstamped the edges
with some fab Tim flourishes..

make sure you pop across here to see all the fab DT makes,
you won't be disappointed!
and maybe dream with the dragon
and pop in a creation using this great recipe yourselves..

have a fab and inky one!

Butterfly dreams for Sunday stamper

I would like to thank all  my new followers and say thanks to everyone who stops by and leaves a comment, thanks..means a lot.

Well the challenge Hels has set over at Sunday Stamper this time is dream...and here is my butterfly dream inspired piece, i also want to add it to the lovely Brendas Tuesday treasures, where you can link up a treasure you have created..see here for details..

I started by using some arts parts, Tim butterfly stamps and a Tim die. The base was coloured with picket fence and tumbled glass dress stain and the spritzed with perfect pearls  mist in turquoise. Then i added some broken china DI. When dry i embossed the Wendy leaves stamps in clear and Tim's small butterflies in broken china distress embossing powder. The dress forms, I cut two, from grungepaper...and were coloured in same way.

All the butterflies were stamped with manganese blue archival ink onto vellum, cut out and the centres had some chunky pearl glitter added..not too glittery as i don't really like glittery glitter!!? does that make sense? This glitter was added to some vellum wings too..love the chunky texture.

To complete i added some little bottles a Wendy sentiment and some flowers made from tatttered floral die.
