Goodbye to Sweet Cassie~

It was a sad day here-especially for my Son-in-law, Marc!He had to say his final goodbye to his good dog, Cassie. She had been his riding companion for many years and I know he will miss her so much! We all will miss Cassie. She was a sweetie and totally loyal to Marc.

Home for a few days, eating with the new kid-"Cooper"...

Eating a good meal on her final trip home...

R.I.P., sweet Cassie girl.

Note:

 Cassie had a long life and a happy one so I'm trying not to be so sad...but it's always a hard thing!

This is Cooper ~ he lives with my daughter!

He's a cutie and a smart and funny little dog!

Recently he brought this dead and dried up frog inside for my daughter, Tina, to see.

From the looks of Cooper in this picture, Tina wasn't too happy with her gift!

OK-I am late with my CC post this time but  I have some cute pictures to share...so, better late than never!

These 2 little dogs  are Emma Rose (my poodle) and Cooper (my daughter's  Dachshund); with my 2 youngest grandchildren, Allison (all grown up) and baby Drake! (8 mo.)

Today is my Son-in Law's birthday!

This pic was taken on his last trip home earlier this month!

Marc and his faithful friend, "Cassie," are long distance truckers!

Hope they are having a good day, where ever they may be today!

Last I heard, they were in Ohio -Marc sent me a scene of beautiful fall flowers!

Since our  grandson, Drake, came in May and especially since I am keeping him a few days every week, my little Emmy girl seems a little more demanding, at times, of my attention!

My daughter's dog, Cooper, and my dog, Emmy, are the biggest pals ever!

 They love to get together and play and chase each other around the house...and have tug of-war with Emmy's toys!

  They don't get to visit each other as often as they would like...I'm thinking this might be their thoughts when they are not together for awhile!

This is where "Emma Rose" wants to be ~ Always! She wants to be as close to my face as possible!

Here we are at my/our computer desk!

 She's such a needy and demanding little critter! Sure is lucky for her that I love her so much! Just imagine how it would be for me if I had to put up with all this from a little dog I didn't love! :)

At my house this week I had a few encounters with some critters...

There's always something 'WILD' going on in the country!  :)

One day this week my son brought this little critter up to show me. He had rescued it from one of his cats.  Luckily, the little guy was unharmed,

and we  set it free in my courtyard ;

  far away from his kitties.

I can't identify this lizard, can you?

Last night I had these 2 visitors to my back porch. They had come to dine on the food my cats had left on their plate!

I don't mind them coming to eat the leftovers...however, my poodle, Emmy, went wild barking at them through the glass door.  I wish I could get better pictures but there's no way!

This is what Emmy does to her stuffed animal toys... Maybe she's thinking she could do that to those big old wild Raccoons.

Better think twice about that, Emma Rose!

Last, but certainly not least, (in size, that is) I went with my husband to the pasture yesterday to put out feed for the cattle.

  As big as these critters are, they are not at all intimidating,

.... but I don't get close enough to 'pet' them!

  :)
