Still have him, still love him

Dwight likes to sit in the heat of the sun.

More hunting

This particular hunt was with Daddy, Thayne, and Uncle Spence. Hunting was slow and Thayne got hungry so Jake took Thayne to get a subway. While they were gone Uncle Spence shot an elk. So, when Jake and Thayne finished lunch they came back to help Spence. They had to hike a long ways to the top of the mountain and it was super cold. Jake made the mistake of having Thayne stay at the top of the mountain while he helped Spence drag the elk over the ridge. He could see Thayne the entire time, but Thayne couldn't see him. That made Thayne really nervous. He was also really cold. Thayne's nerves got the better of him and he started to cry. When Jake came back he did his best to console Thayne and help get him warmer. Uncle Josh, who had just come up to help drag the elk out, brought some extra hand warmers that helped really helped calm Thayne. Well, Thayne didn't want to go hunting anytime soon after that. Jake and his brothers felt bad that Thayne didn't have the best experience, but it was a good learning lesson for everyone!

At least he was still willing to smile once they were back to the cars.

A First: Hunting

Jake took Thayne deer hunting (it was muzzle load). Thayne scared any deer that may have been near with his talking and walking. Good times with daddy anyway!!

While they were gone, I took a couple of pictures of Dax playing with his dump truck. He loves trucks!

New place to call home

Since my parents decided to go on a mission they asked if we would like to live in their house while they were gone. We gladly accepted the invitation. So we began moving at the beginning of April. Great family and friends helped us move, which we really appreciated. We were lucky to live with my parents for a few weeks before they left. It was wonderful!!!!

Here is the beginning stages of boxes being moved into the garage.

Here is the first bath in Grandma and Grandpa Frank's house - or, I guess you could say, our house for the time being.

A Favorite

One of our family's favorite FHE treat is Oreo's dipped in milk!

Groomed

Although Dwight doesn't like to be groomed, the rest of us LOVE it!
