Here’s my life
Spread out in front of me
The years, sewn together
The colors of life
Merging together in
Interweaving patterns.
Colors of childhood –
Innocent, joy and gay;
Lavender cots wool
With cute blue flowers
The warmth of my babyhood nights.
The blue pinafore of my school
Reminiscence of my youthful days;
The orange silk top
Showing off my youthful curves
Had made him wild on our first date.
The black lace gown
That made me the prom queen;
The flaming red negiligee
Reminding me of the
First night of my wedded life;
My first baby shower-
Smiling brightly at
Friends and family….
The mint green skirt
That hubby had lovingly brought.
They are all here laid out,
The pieces of my life,
Bright, light, dark as night
Giving me warmth and smiles.
nice...i like how you described the scenes of your life that make up the quilt, in many ways the relationship with hubby...very cool
